inside the apartment where this happened to check the area. we do not know where they were looking for, but a five-year-old girl, the daughter of one of the victims, actually saw the shooting, the gun man found just outside, dead by his own hand. apartment 301 remain sealed with evidence tape. >> gunshots. richard: what happened behind the door has horrified neighbors. her facebook page shows a happy jones. her friends say she was in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, 30-year-old kevin reynolds. 10:30 p.m.say monday, reynolds came to the apartment. witnesses heard the shots, the screaming. >> bang, bang, bang. richard: the neighbor came upstairs to find jones and her sister both shot to death. >> it's unbelievable.

richard: in february, reynolds run and drag jones parking lot, pointed a gun at her, and threatened her. after his arrest on assault charges, she did not want to pursue the case. reynolds was released from jail just six days ago. >> she felt bad about it. i guess this is what happened next. richard: left behind a crime scene, family english and -- family anguish and the little girls. body was found inside of his parked car in hanover, virginia. the police say that he had shot himself will stop the police say this was an escalating case of domestic violence. we have seen this over and over again. the three young girls are now with family. richard reeve, abc 7 news. leon: thank you, rich, heartbreaking.
