investigation. and why some maryland tax prepares are in trouble with the state. could it affect thousands of tax returns? "abc7 news at 6:00" starts now. announcer: now "abc7 news at 6:00". on your side. leon: well, they are accustomed to judging people accused of crimes but now a physical altercation between two d.c. judges has one of them facing charges in a story you will see only on 7. d.c. bureau chief sam ford has the court document cha explained what happened. tell us about this. talk about order in the court. sam: well, leon, these are not so much courthouse judges. they are judges who settle dispute between the d.c. government and the employees and the public but they can be power. they determine if an employee will keep or lose a job and how much money the government would have to pay out in a judgment.

two administrative law judges fighting? >> they know better. >> i'm not going to comment on that. >> awesome. >> what can you say? d.c. government. sam: it involves sharon goodie pictured her and another judge joan davenport. according to legal papers last thursday morning goodie knocked several times on davenport's office door. when davenport opened up she came with arms extended and made contact with goodie who fell to the floor. according to the witnesses goodie said you tried to put your hands around my throat. she tried to put her hands around my throat. davenport responded, "well, i tried to." police responded to the incident on the fourth floor last thursday. yesterday a judge issued an arrest warrant. early this morning davenport turned herself in to the police. who was aryaned and signed an order that doesn't prohibit her from returning

suspicious. the body was found in the basement of a turned-out townhouse where he and go of his roommates ive together. the both was found after the flames engulfed a home a week ago. the roommates survived. the investigators are trying to determine if the 63-year-old died before the fire or as a result of it. alison: a life sentence for nguyen who is conducted of killing his ex-wife's husband. the sentence came down in the last two hours. the northern virginia bureau chef jeff goldberg is live at the courthouse with details. jeff? jeff: this is an emotional hearing. both of nguyen's parents taking the stand crying on the witness stand saying that he had suffered mental illness and he was a

alison: hundreds of people showed up to pay respects to chad dermyer. officer around the country attended today's funeral. trooper dermyer served four years in the marine corps and was previously a police officer in michigan. the 37-year-old leaves behind a wife and two children. the man who shot trooper dermyer was killed by other troopers. no word yet why he opened fire. leon: today is a big day in race for the white house. polls are open for three more hours in the wisconsin primary. on the republican side stop trump movement hoping for a cruz victory who has a lead over five to ten points over trump. john kasich is hoping for an upset or a strong second place finish there. there are 42 delegates at it stake. there are 86 delegates on the line for the democrats tonight. but unlike the republicans, the

leon: once again police are investigating shots fired at home in woodbridge. someone fired at the home on saturday morning. no one was hurt but they found bullet in a wall and in a vehicle. the shots were fired at several different homes in woodbridge neighborhood in february. you may recall. alison: well, the police recovered more than $76,000 worth of stolen goods outside of tysons corner center. leon: the officers responding to report from mall security recovered the items and arrested three people in the parking lot while trying to flee. they found items commonly used to bypass security system. two women and a man from florida are facing multiple charges including grand larceny. developing out of iceland the country's prime minister stepped down today after calls
