snowshowers. chief meteorologist doug hill has the forecast. a bleak outlook. doug: not a pretty picture, especially for tomorrow. we'll tell you what to expect. clouds increase tonight. temperatures start to fall off as well. as we get through the early morning hours we will feel the effect of the cold front that is advancing in our direction. we wake up to temperatures in the 30's with the skies becoming mostly cloudy. tonight there is a freeze warning in effect north northwest of the metro area. the entire region is under a freeze watch for tomorrow night into sunday morning. very much expect a large part of this area to be upgraded to a freeze warning. again, this is for tomorrow night for the entire area. what we are talking about is a strong cold front and low pressure center over chicago now that will rapidly advance we think by 5:00 in the morning. there will be areas of rain, rain showers, snowshowers to the north of metro washington. as the system moves out, colder in

bell is live with the story. what have you found out? brad: a quick update. she is not in custody. she was released on bond, essentially bailed out today. that is beatrice manning we are talking about. get to the story and show you her picture. this is beatrice manning. a woman for 14 years ran a daycare center she called little giggles. little giggles she called it and ran it out of her home in oxon hill. caring for up to four or five young children at a time. we are told that she had a great reputation but that back on december 2, something happened with as you said 9-month-old savannah wright. the girl was dropped off at 7:00 a.m. at 11:00 a.m., miss manning alleged to call 911 saying the child was unresponsive. by 5:00 p.m. that night, doctors diagnosed severe brain damage and called detectives. she died two days later. this comes out of the blue to manning's neighbors and they are tonight standing by her.

block of rhode island avenue right by the rhode island avenue metro station. police are there investigating as we speak. our jeff goldberg is also there. what can you tell us? what happened out there? jeff: well, we can tell you right now that a 13-year-old male is in the hospital recovering with nine life -- with non-life threatening injuries as a result of what happened. this happened outside the bus station at the rhode island avenue metro. we're told a group of teens. the police officer told the group to disburse. there was a fight going on. the fight spilled here to washington place northeast by the home depot, near the home depot. behind the jersey mike's sub shop and behind the chipotle. that is where police say the group spilled over into. now according to m.p.d., at some point either by the metro station or down the street that 13-year-old male was stabbed in the back. he was conscious and breathing when he was transported to children's hospital at 1:15, 1:30 this afternoon. m.p.d. w

warehouse areas. jonathan: more campuses across the country seeing semi-automatic rifles. what i mean by that is at least 100 college police agencies ordered the rifles over the past decades. the departments like the range, the accuracy and the fire power that the rifles bring. but the build-up, however, raised tensions on campuses including in college park where protesters in the past said that the campus police are putting students at risk by having this kind of fire power. kimberly: the pentagon official says an airman shot his squadron commander and then himself this morning at joint base san antonio-lackland. we don't have the motive for the shooting. lackland is where the u.s. air force conducting its basic traininger if enlistees -- training for enlistees. jonathan: keith harward is a free man. he was found guilty in 1982 for rape and murder. for three decades he maintained his innocence. now

suzanne kennedy has his reaction. suzanne: he left prison and said today was the best day of his life. he was wrongly convicted of a newport news rape and murder and locked up ever since. at one point he was facing the death penalty. today he walked out of prison knowing his name has been cleared. >> it's overwhelming until i am on the road going down the street. do a lot of crying, joy. suzanne: the d.n.a. from a crime scene matched another sailor on the same ship at the time of the crime. who died later in an ohio prison.

audit. d.c. bureau chief sam ford is on a circulator bus right now with the safety questions. sam? sam: i'm on a circulator bus around 11th and m southeast. a lot of people like the circulator buses that are city-owned. they only cost $1 to ride. metro buses cost $1. 75. the city audit made public raises question about the safety of the buses. inspection by the transit resource center of 42 circular buses found nearly a thousand defects. so many of them were safety critical defects that the auditor wrote it was unacceptable by any standard. union members today complained about poor maintenance and low pay in a hearing that d.c. council transportation community member seemed stun by the degree of problems revealed in the

landover. jeanette: it was difficult for everyone including myself not to get emotional in the funeral. there wasn't a dry eye in the room as people pack the sanctuary and overflow at first baptist church of glenarden. many people coming to say goodbye to a young boy described as loving and respectful. davonte washington. many of his peers had to leave the sanctuary. it was too much for him. 10-year-old little sister painted before the opening prayer of the funeral. family, friends and local leaders sat in on what was called a joyful occasion to celebrate the life of davonte washington but it was difficult to ignore senseless tragedy behind the death. the 15-year-old freshman was shot to death in front of his mother and sisters last month in front of the deanwood metro station. he was on his way to get a haircut for easter sunday when his 17-year-old accused killer shot him because he didn't like the
