the firefighters were returning from the funeral for fellow firefighter wednesday when they spot the smoke coming from the vehicle, quickly jumping into action in bringing the driver safely from the car. a certain type of theft is on the rise. anybody with a mailbox could be the next victim. catch, butre hard to as kevin lewis explains, one victim is fighting back to change that. >> he gave me a report number. the 1940's, he always preferred to pay his bills by mail. recently, a thief stole an outgoing check from his mailbox. $559 was, made out for supposed to go for his monthly car payment. added her woman moniker to the check and raise the value by two grand.
