as for the mood on the streets, people are still very tense >> there are hundreds of police and military troops. keep in mind at least one attacker remains at large. two survivors, one clutching a baby picked themselves up off the floors, moments after an explosion tore through the terminal. it's one of two powerful blasts at the brussels airport that blew out windows and caused the ceiling to cave in. travelers ran for safety. >> i saw two people really covered with blood. >> reporter: an airport security camera captured this image of three men that belgian prosecutors say are behind the attacks. authorities believe the two men in black blew themselves up and they've issued a wanted notice for the third suspect. another deadly explosion rocked the subway system an hour later. people evacuated through dark

>> people here in brussels have been allowed to return back to the streets and the subway system is slowly reopening. >> speaking in cuba, president obama condemned the attacks. >> we must be together, regardless of nationality or race or faith in fighting against the skurj of terrorists. >> reporter: the attack came just days after the arrest of paris attacks. >> one thing that's shocking to me is you've had in the wake of the paris terrorist attacks, you've had coordinated attacks under the noses of european authorities. >> reporter: it's not clear if the attacks were moved up in the wake of the arrests. >> reporter: police have been conducting raids throughout the day. one of the raids they discovered an isis flag, chemicals and the ones identical to those used in

>> lisa: thank you. our coverage continues tonight with the sanford-bound flight and passengers sharing their stories. >> julie: they took off from central florida eight minutes before the first bomb went off inside the brussels airport. >> ginger: we watched and tracked the flight from brussels taking off shortly after 8 a.m. the first explosion rocking the area just minutes later. and that is really just hard to imagine, even wrap your mind around that timeline. let's continue our coverage now, live to amanda castro at the orlando/sanford international airport tonight. those passengers have to be pretty shaken up. what are they telling you? >> reporter: they're saying they didn't even know about the attack until they landed here in sanford. they say they were shocked when they found out and are saying they're thankful tonight to be back home safe and sound when that plane left just minutes before the explosion started. 269 passengers and 10 crew

one of the last planes to leave brussels airport minutes before the attack started. >> it could have been something like missed ticket or my bag needed to get checked again and i could have been in that situation. i feel blessed to be back. >> reporter: people on the plane telling news 6 they didn't learn about the bombings until hours later. passengers say there was no announcement and there was no wi-fi on board. >> nobody knew. we only knew when my family told me what happened. >> reporter: families are patiently waiting to find out if their loved ones made it on the plane safely, worried because they didn't hear from them. >> i felt very panicked and then i was hoping as a mom, if something was wrong, i'd feel it, but i didn't feel anything but just scared so i just didn't know. i didn't know what was going on. >> reporter: back live at the orlando sanford international airport, you can see there is an increased police presence here at the airport in light of the brussels attack. the passengers on board that plane, it took them a while to get off.

collision that sent two parachutists. both deployed their parachutes. one is in critical condition while the other is in serious by stable condition. we're working to find out more about what went wrong and we'll let you know when we learn more. >> lisa: right now, all eyes are on the space coast for a late night lift-off. forecasters are predicting a 90% chance of good weather for the launch. united launch alliance rocket will be carrying more than 7,000 pounds worth of supplies, experiments and food to the crew at the international space station. one of the experiments actually involves lighting a fire to the capsule after it leaves the i.s.s. in a few months. tonight's launch is set for 11:05. when it happens, you can see it live right here on news 6 and online at clickorlando.com, powered by news 6. >> julie: meteorologist troy bridges is pinpointing launch conditions.

has the winds died down enough for the launch tonight? >> i believe so. winds are calmer today, at only 5 to 10 miles per hour in many spots. as the sun sets and high pressure continues to move on top of us, we'll see the winds weaken even more. it looks a-okay for launch time at 11:05. you can see warmer air will be building in tomorrow. tomorrow the 80's after we warm nicely into the 70's today. here are the very light winds. see the seas here? these are showing calm winds, especially there in sanford, winds only at 5 miles per hour, coming in out of the south now for orlando. that's why we've warmed so much across central florida. right now, we're in the 70's in most spots. 74 in orlando. 72 in ocala. it's 70 at cocoa beach. yesterday this time, the 50's and 60's across central florida. heading out tonight, it will be fairly cool at times, but nothing like last night, cooling by 9:00 to 65 degrees with clear skies. with the clear skies and calm winds, things are looking good for launch. coming up, we'll talk more about

girl's family. it happened in between class two weeks ago at a middle school on ronald reagan boulevard in longwood. the mother didn't know the boy do. last week, the boy's mom called deputies, saying it was battery and she wanted to prosecute. >> i regret it because i didn't know that it would lead to this. >> i'm sorry my child touched your kid. but -- i'm sorry. lady. you need some help, i think. too overprotective. let your kid be a kid. he might get some friends. i'm sorry to say that. >> i'm sorry for touching your kid. i'm sorry for being a kid. >> lisa: well, the state attorney in seminole county says if evans completes a diversion program, does community service and passes all drug tests, the

misdemeanor charges for the mom for allowing the child to have access to a firearm. deputies are handing over their investigation to the state attorney who will ultimately decide if she will be charged. the sheriff's captain said she put a loaded gun under the front seat and the weapon slide back while her son was riding. >> investigators discovered the child removed himself from the seat, presumably to grab a toy from the floorboard. saw the gun, picked it up, and accidentally fired. >> lisa: the mom was shot through her driver's seat and into her back and she's still in stable condition and has not been arrested. the case drew international attention because of her strong pro-gun stance. more than 80,000 honeybees have plagued a community. >> ginger: they've called the gated community home until now. >> julie: neighbors knew they needed to go.

many bees are in the trees you see there. we're talking about 80,000. >> more of what we thought. all of them are harmless because it's cold. i'm going to say there was an inch and a half of bees on the outside of that cone. there was quite a few in there. >> julie: it was important to the lakeland community that they didn't die so they brought in local beekeepers to do the job, vacuuming the bees into a box and piece by piece taking apart the hive. evicted from the gated community but soon will have a new home. >> we need a pretty environment. we have to have bees. they pollenate all kinds of things. without bees, we've got trouble. >> julie: now the bees are packed up and on their way to a new home so they can live their lives and do their things. >> lisa: i'm so glad they called in the professionals and the bees will live. >> ginger: there's a worldwide shortage of those bees. they're necessary. problem. >> julie: if we don't have bees,

tomorrow, here's the official beach forecast, warming to 78 degrees in daytona beach tomorrow. so tomorrow, warmer than today's near 70-degree temperature. water temperature is still way too chilly for me. i'm a big wimp. i like it in the mid-80's. we're at 69 degrees with the water temperature at daytona beach. the rip current risk is going to be the moderate category. check with lifeguards and watch out if you're going to be doing some swimming in the chilly water. 72 is the temperatures right now in the area. here's a look at the pinpoint accurate weather forecast for tonight. down to 65 at 9:00. 62 at 11:00. a little milder than what we saw last night in the 40's and the 50's. tomorrow, even warmer than today. getting up to 78 by noon. no rain until we head into the afternoon and even then, hardly a drop. a 10% chance tomorrow as we take you through 4:00 with a high of

we're going to see a shift in the winds as an area of high pressure moves off to the east coast, bringing on the winds off the ocean waters and out of the south, which is why it will be warmer tomorrow. a couple of green dots will indicate one or two showers. a few clouds along the coast but rain is not going to be a factor for your evening plans. we'll see an east coast sea breeze trying to develop and move inland. by 7:00 in the morning, here are the temperatures. 46 in ocala, better than the upper 30's with the frost advisory we had early this morning there. we'll be at 55 in orlando and 54 in daytona beach. cool enough for a light jacket early in the morning tomorrow. you won't need it long. we'll warm nicely to 81 degrees. as we head into the afternoon tomorrow in ocala, 82. in orlando, 78. in daytona beach and 79 in cocoa beach. as we take you into the next three days, notice not a lot of change but a gradual warm-up heading into the day tomorrow, when you talk about

environment metal workers say untreated sewage got into the lake but they're not sure how much. as a precaution, people are urged to stay away from the lake whether for swimming or recreational reasons. notifications will be sent out once the all-clear is given. >> lisa: now to a crime tracker alert near the ucf campus. deputies tell news 6 suspects stormed into an apartment and stole stuff at the tivole apartments. someone was inside but was not hurt. the suspects escaped. detectives are working to get a better description to help catch them. >> ginger: today voters in idaho, arizona and utah will decide who should be their party's presidential nominee. democratic frontrunner hillary clinton is looking to extend her delegate lead while donald trump's rivals are hoping to slow him down. voting in the west today could further lay the landscape for the republican presidential race. yesterday, frontrunners trump and clinton argued about their

for wednesday afternoon, by 2 p.m., topping off at 79 degrees. the high out there in dunnellon for your wednesday will be up to about 80 degrees. you can see across the board, no matter morning or afternoon, we're going to be seeing plenty of that spring sunshine. >> julie: candace, thank you. we're keeping an eye on delays along the 408. this is a live look where a semi truck overturned this morning. you can see a tow truck is still out there, and this is right near the i-4 ramp, the i-4 eastbound ramp there. still no word yet on what caused that semi to overturn but fire officials say they were working to plug a fuel tank leak. >> lisa: former toronto mayor rob ford lost his fight against an aggressive form of cancer at the age of 46. he fought the disease for more than a year. you may remember his time as mayor was plagued with scandal. in may of 2014, a video surfaced showing what appeared to be ford smoking crack. he denied any wrongdoing and ignored calls for his

months later he finally told reporters he, quote, "probably smoke the drug at some point." ford refused to step aside even after the city council stripped him of most of his powers. >> ginger: a bald eagle, this little guy, lands in a winter springs neighborhood and couldn't fly. that's when those who lived there got results and rescued it. the bird is now in the care of the audubon center for birds of prey. we got an update on how he's doing. it's a story you'll see only on 6. >> the palm tree is where he sat most of the time. >> reporter: she says an opportunity to do the right thing landed in front of her yesterday. literally. a bald eagle, seemingly injured, grounded in their neighbor's front yard. >> i walked up on him and he's not moving. and i get closer and closer and figuring at some point he's going to fly away. he didn't. he just sat right there. i thought at this point there's

>> reporter: that's what she worked with her neighbors to get results and get the bird in the right hands. in the hands of samantha little, a raptor technician at the audubon center for birds of prey. >> he came in very, very skittish. he's been starving in the wild because of the wing injury. >> reporter: the bald eagle had a fracture in its shoulder, right here at the wing. this explains why the bird couldn't fly yesterday. this also explains why it was so hungry. hungry >> he was losing a lot of weight. he's not going to be able to get any food until after we know that he's digesting fluids well. so we need to rehydrate him. >> reporter: adding he only has about a 50/50 chance of surviving. >> it's sad. i hope he pulls through. it's a beautiful bird. >> he's a feisty bird. i sure hope so.

developing for the most part. it will shift to the east of us, seeing the clockwise flow around it, bringing on shore more moisture and south winds leading to a warmer afternoon tomorrow. today the 70's, tomorrow back to the 80's. because we're increasing moisture ever so slightly, we have a very slight chance for rain rolling in tomorrow. here are the temperatures right now, we're at 74 in orlando. 64, though, at new smyrna beach. 69 in daytona beach. it's 72 in ocala and 70 at cocoa beach. as we see a little bit of wind off the ocean waters, it's just a little bit cooler there along the coast. here's a look at the pinpoint accurate forecast. as we take you through the 90 hours, if you're making evening plans, no big need for a jacket like we did last night. we're at 65 at 9:00, still 63 at 10:00, a little cool but not as chilly. tomorrow, looking good and warm, noon. we'll get up to 82 at 4:00 with a 10% chance for rain into the

here's the clouds and rain forecast. again, as we pinpoint the area of high pressure off the coast tomorrow, it will try to send on shore a little bit of moisture in the form of one or two rain drops. you can see 6 in the morning, the green indicating that, the white indicating a few additional clouds mainly along the coast, moving inland. we'll see more of that moisture for coastal zones and a couple of areas of rain will try to move inland along i-4 through the afternoon tomorrow. only a 10% chance for rain drops. that will be it. early in the morning tomorrow, temperatures a little bit milder than we saw this morning as we were in the 30's and 40's. we'll be at 55 in orlando early in the morning. 46 in ocala. 54 for the early morning temperature in daytona beach and 52 in palm coast. 59 in melbourne. tomorrow afternoon, back to the 80's. the average high is 79 in orlando. so we're going above that, up to 82 in orlando. tomorrow, 83 in leesburg. 78 in daytona beach.

because of a bit of a breeze off the ocean waters, it won't be quite as warm along the coast and we'll also continue the moderate rip current risk if you're going to the beach. here's easter sunday, a quick look ahead. a high of 84 with scattered showers. we'll be closer to the forecast in the coming days as we pinpoint the timing of when that rain comes. it looks like the morning hours could be okay for sunrise services. by the afternoon on sunday, we could get more rain in here. as we add more moisture, rain chances at 40% thursday. 50%, friday. up to 60% saturday and for easter sunday, 50% coverage with highs back in the mid-80's. though cloudy and rainy at times, we'll be warming up, above the average by a few degrees. rain chances stick around through mid-week next week which is good news with the fire threat. we need to add some rain in, which we could skip easter and get the rain back. we'll see a chance. >> lisa: thanks, troy. >> julie: you can also get your pinpoint weather away from tv. >> if you're on the road and
