shut two students. he injured two others. local 12, larry davis since it began. he joins us live. >> we had a good day. those are the days of the madison school superintendent. and says everything felt normal. this is the first day that the kids returned to school, two days after a shooting inside the building. >> it was the first day back by the looks of today's dismissal. you will never know there was shooting in the school. a total of four sheriff's deputies, as well as counselors and clergy. school officials say students mostly felt at ease. some stayed home. all in all, superintendent says, things went very well. >> honestly, we didn't have as many kids, to receive the counselling services.

little lower than usual. it's not uncommon for this time of year. >> those who were absent, they will be excused. we understand, he's not feeling at ease returning to school, two days after the shooting. he hopes they are back soon, because that could speed up the healing process for everyone. last week's walk through the high school and middle school were absolutely invaluable. he gave parents and students a chance to get back in the building and get reacquainted with the staff, if you will. everybody felt at ease. even more important, the fac they got in the school buses to return to school, they were actually staff members on board as well. curtis, was asked whether or not there will be increased security in the school. whether he had metal detectors, he would rule nothing out. >> hear from one of the students would returned to school today. he gives us the take on the

-- he was funny. >> school administrators, it was not an attempt of copycat. ninth grader was barred, after making threats there. police greeted students as the school open. and it did not involve the weapon. the male student involved another threat against the student or other students. they didn't have ties in madison township. administrators didn't face any discipline. it's not clear if he's going to be facing any criminal charges after this. >> we will have more on all of this at 4:30 and at 5:00. at 6:00, we will have those radio transmitted. >> and student will not face charges. the principal says the student wanted to show the gun to a friend.

community. astronaut scott kelly returns from his fourth mission in space. kelly descended in the desert in the soyuz spacecraft. kelly will fly back home to houston, who took part in groundbreaking research and shared the experience with the world. kelly returned to earth after nearly a year. the longest time an american has spent in space. >> four years ago today, the area had the severely weather date on record. and moscow, ohio, dayton, indiana, took direct hits. ef 3 tornado that ripped through moscow was quarter mile wide at one point. >> you know what i remember about that? working the weekend with you before it happened and

i was there that night and many remember april 3rd, 1974. thankfully we have sun. that will keep rain and snow and storms away for the short term but we have rain and snow showers coming tomorrow. we have windchill now in cincinnati. atop of the radson, close to 30 degrees. lots of sun right now. mid-and high level clouds will be increasing in the next few hours. next opportunity for rain and snow will come late tonight, initially, the snow. then a mix of rain and snow late tomorrow morning. then it's all rain, with temperatures nearing 40 degrees by the back end of the afternoon. some clouds being reported in the cincinnati northern kentucky international airport. dew point, 13. those numbers are far apart. if we have clouds and precipitation trying to fall in the clouds, the rain is not close to the ground. we have time to work away the dry air mass.

in the network of radars, late tonight, early tomorrow, some of the snow, am so of the rain, struggled to reach the ground. that, combined with the fact, the temperature will be in the 30s for much of tomorrow. that works against the potential for accumulating snow. we're 36 at cincinnati. temperatures generally fall in the 30s and eventually in the twenties overnight. clouds, clouds dissipated. this is the next weather maker. it's disorganized. it shredded for the time being. it's gathering steam. by the time we get into the back end of ton, there will be returns on precision doppler hd. not all of the snow we see initially late tonight and early tomorrow morning, will reach the ground. with time, the low levels of the atmosphere will get saturated. we will have rain and snow showers tomorrow. initially, snow showers. burst of snow. the model suggests all in white. it's going to be snow. there will be plenty of rain mixing in, given the
