it's a good reminder, we're still into winter look how heavy it's coming down at times. that's on top of the raddison. and especially in the bridges and passes. this heavy ban is pushing inside the 275 loop. northern kentucky has been getting it in the last couple of hours. from dry ridge, crittondon. that's heavy snow. that's the big wet flakes we're looking at in our camera, from pendleton all the way eastward in the southern tier, in kentucky to mason county. and no advisory out for downtown cincinnati. we're seeing the minor snow all across the area.

that are mainly wet. there could be slick spots in the overpasses. along i-71, going northward. a few flurries from time to time, in south eastern indiana. you could see in some of the roadways, visibility is reduced. we have a light coating on the grass. i-71 at 275. traffic is moving along. the wet roadways. look at the roadway temperatures, are a few degrees above freezing. crittondone, 26. the overpasses is a couple of degrees colder than that. they cool off a lot faster. these are actual temperatures at or above freezing. that's what they will be with a chance of snow. they will start to taper from 9 to midnight. temperatures drop around

under a lot of pressure, things are starting to turn around for the residents. tcb took over 28 different buildings in november of 2012. that included 40 buildings that were especially problematic, this one at 518 hail. it's the number 2 property of shootings last year. and among other things, they are required to put 25 thousand aside for each apartment. get new management and security all in the next couple of months. and believe it or not, it's working to some degree. coming at 5:30, we will take you inside one of the buildings. you will meet a woman whose name is happy. we will show you why. she's living up to her name. brad. >> i like that, rich. we will check in with you. tcb owns approximately 11 thousand units.

other properties here in cincinnati. local 12 news cameras, only tv news cameras in juvenile court, when the 12-year-old boy answered to charges. he faces charges that include aggravated menacing, having alcohol and having an object indistinguishable of a firearm in school. they contacted police who confronted the boy from the chief program on joseph street. that's when the officers say they found him with an aersoft gun. the judge ordered him to be in juvenile until the investigation is complete.

say the 9th grade student made classmates. and the judge ordered he get a psych evaluation. name. it's going to take longer than expected for cincinnati mayor's task force for reducing child poverty. local 12 news is continuing to investigate child poverty. and reporter, jeff hirsh, shows us one of the big challenges the mayor group's facing. >> nobody said it would be easy. the effort to remove the cincinnati dramatically high poverty rate. let's show you one reason why longer. and this is the chart of the federal low-income antipoverty programs. there's 80-plus of them spending trillion dollars a year. trillion dollars to come to cincinnati. they will have to navigate

this is all an roos. the mother, 28-year-old benton is making false charges, making false reports and inducing panic. for those who haven't been following, we have pictures this morning, about 7:00. nicole benton called police, her car was stolen and her 18 day old baby lamillion. the police fund her car at the high school. at some point, 9:20, the mother showed up in her apartment, hey, we found her. everybody is okay. i went to pick up the baby someplace else. what we learned few minutes ago from lieutenant sanders, she made every bit of this up. >> apparently the mother left the home. casing the immediate area as

trying to locate the child much she left the home in a taxicab she went a few blocks down the road. return to the child, to the mother. >> which indeed, in fact, she had never left her mother. the child was with the mother all the time, according to police. when they arrived in her house in the west end, after she filed the report, she wouldn't let them in. they were a bit suspicious. the woman was saying she was distraught about someone stealing her car who had a baby in it. as she said in the interview and in the sound bite, she left in the cab with a baby. : she told

in western his where the baby was dropped off. she's facing very serious charges in addition, two juveniles are charged with stealing the carment one of them, just leaving a few doors down from nicole benton. the other one was the person we believe was driving the car at the time it crashed in western hills. a lot of effort, a lot of manpower. they got the fbi involved. they got calls from the national media and national law enforcement, and asking what they can do to help. all, for some reason, they don't know why, made it all up. and i'm dumbfounded having covered it all day. in this business, we cannot make it up.

i-71-75. it's the on and off snow throughout the day. eventually, it will move toward brown, claremont and clinton county. they moved the camera on me. i noticed some snow accumulations on the side. keep in mind, we're starting to see some light snow in the overpasses. overpasses cooled down. that's what we're watching out for. you just saw some in the camera

and they've been insulting it very heavily. and wind coming around 6:00. and at least in the next couple of hours. we're going to be for a while now. the snow continuing to move from the west. there's the back edge. i think we taper to flurries. and we're going to expect us clear out, as we clear out the day on friday. paduka at 45, that's the warmer weather heading in our direction. you could see it in the extended forecast. how we see a little break on friday. that could produce some light snow. a coating of most. >> and we can concentrate on incomes week. >> 8 degrees on tuesday.

dramatic weather camera, looking at the weather. and these are pretty good flakes moving on through with the ban. you could see the lighter blues, seeing some heavier snow. it produced a half an inch of snow so far in pendleton county. and up to three inches of snowfall from the ban. and we missed out in the heaviest of the snow, staying to the south. nonetheless, it could create a couple of slick spots across the area. the heaviest of the ban is right along the ohio river. they are starting to cross through claremont county and southern claremont county. in the next hour or so, moving closer to the east. right now, it's just starting to pull away from downtown cincinnati. they saw the heaviest from the snow. the impact, south and east of cincinnati, from kimble county

the north, northeast at 30 miles an hour or so. and it is creating a couple of slick spots in the overpasses. i-275, this overpass is notorious. it cools off very quickly. if you look at the corner, you could start to see some snow accumulating. this is not the case 10 minutes ago. we are developing some slick areas. we saw how much a little bit of snow, could do like it did this morning, created a mess. even though the actual pavement temperatures is slightly above freezing. it's coming heavy enough to overcome some of that. temperatures, at the airport, 33 degrees. it will stay that way, even dropping a couple of degrees. most of the snow will move out in the next couple of hours. coming up in 15 minutes, we're talking about when we can see another chance of a rain-snow mix and plus how high temperatures could go next week.

>> thanks, brandon. >> not going out for coffee. >> kind of get that. >> kind of guess that. >> keeping a close eye on the road conditions for the evening commute. >> sydney is driving the roads for us. so far, the roads have been decent. >> we're about seven miles or so out of dry ridge heading south on 75. and the roads have been fine so far. 71, 35, near the city, busier throughout the day. as we go further out, the snow picks up dramatically for a while. we seen slushes of snow where it starts to accumulate. it's pretty wet. i would say, visibility is the biggest issue for folks, heading home right now. the flakes at times, were quite big. they were very wet snowflakes.

>> it's coming through the area. you could see in northern kentucky, what's happening there is moving to cincinnati and the rest of ohio, an hour down the road. i want to show you a traffic camera. i-275. there's snow in the shoulders, now only. now seeing snow cover not only in the overpasses but roads themselves. there's also tire tracks. some are going very fast. it became snow cover in the past 10-15 minutes. the eastern end of the loop is where we can see some problems, as we get through the rush-hour in the next couple of hours. we're monitoring the camera and some of the cameras along 275 as well as precision doppler hd. i've been working with erica in the background. she'll have an update as the heavy snow is coming out. the back edge, it's close to the area.

doppler hd. in the back edge of the heavy snow, along i-75, kentucky. it's pushed through there. we have about a half an hour to 45 minutes to go of the heavier snow. some slightly better road conditions. if you could wait an hour or two to head out. you could see the back edge pushing through crit tondone. and slick conditions possible on aa highway. and they've seen a half an inch of snow already. up to ab inch in the 275 loop. that's where we have the snow covered roads, which banks become icy very quickly. this will push through porings of claremont, warren and clinton county in the next few hours. that's the counties next in line for the possible snow and

and winter weather advisory is only out for owington, dry ridge, bracken and mason county. that goes out until 11:00. as we've seen in the cameras anywhere, south and east of downtown, is where we are looking at. up to an inch of accumulation. you could see the snow coming down, downtown. the back edge is so close. it will be more showery and nature, on and off as we go through the evening hours. it was 33, not too long ago. other locations, up and down, and right at 32 in wilmington. someone updated 32 as well. 35 in hamilton. i suspect with the heavier snow ban shortly, a temperature will come down. you see a little green with raindrops. in. there's still a couple of
