and officers stopped the suspect on the southbound side of the highway near kyles lane around 11:45 a.m. police say the heritage bank was robbed about 20 minutes earlier. detectives say a man raped a 6-year-old child. he's charged with rape and sod domi. he admitted he sexually assaulted the child two dirn times in his home in southern pine lane near florence. if convicted, he could face 20 years to life in prison. sad news today in south gate. a firefighter, emt forthe community's volunteer fire department, has lost her battle with cancer. local 12 angle ela ingram brought us the story last night. she was battling cancer. she underwent chemo therapy. and monica had been with the department for 20 years.
