teachers and students will walk in today. question is will teachers join those students come friday. here's what we know about what's happening this time around. today both sides according to cleveland.com are going to be meeting with a federal mediator sitting down at that professional table to try and get something done. if you remember, cleveland teachers authorized a strike that deadline is thursday, september 1st. that's this 6:00 p.m. it's unclear right now if that's going to happen. their main sticking point has to do with how they're evaluated. they're evaluate m.d. -- evaluated. they call it a fair process. today both sides go back to the bargaining table. in coming days, we'll know if there could be a strike here in

5-year-old boy was killed in a gang shootout, one of the men responsible will be sentenced for his role in the crime today. 21-year-old norman and four others were involved in the drive by shooting that killed burnett. he was just playing football nearby. norman will be sentenced for involuntary manslaughter the shooter is serving 20 years to life in the others pleaded guilty. the sole suspect in the deadly shooting will be identified today. >> 4 police say the suspect is a 29-year-old man from north ridgeville. we're expecting him to be i.d.ed in court afters he was arrested over the weekend. he ran a red light at the intersection of richmond and solone road. he hit the car of 53-year-old

all accidents i've been tracking have been cleared. that's good news for you. on 76 west, we want to be prepared for construction. that closed east market street ramp. this is for bridge repairs. it's expected to reopen tonight in akron. if you need to get around this, up to take market street to third avenue where you pick up 76 west there. this is because 76 west is reduced to two lanes between market street and for bridge repairs until tonight. here's the picture in the area. you see a restricted commute. as we look at drive times 76 west between broomfield and akron, 43 and 77. a 12 minute commute is normal. john and lynna, back to you. 6:33. time is sticking -- is ticking for a possible strike.

temperatures in temperatures in 60s and 70s. let me take you to tropics. they're heating up especially in the gulf of mexico. this is tropical depression number nine. notice the winds at about 30 to 40 miles per hour is moving west at 9 to 10 miles per hour. here's the thing if you have travel plans to the gulf coast. what we're expecting is for this system to not only strengthen into a tropical storm but make a sharp turn towards t florida and in terms of las -- of land fall, i think that should take place as a tropical storm thursday evening. if you have travel plans towards the south, flying into atlanta hartsfield international airport, heads up over the next couple days. back at home, temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
