stay with news 13 for details on results of the caucuses tonight on wlos.com on 10 and 11. the north carolina primary is on march 15th and a legal battle continues over the state's new voter id law which will be used for the very first time. it requires voters to show a photo id in order to capacity a ballot. the u.s. justice department and the naacp sued the state over the new law and the case went to federal court last week. closing arguments wrapped up today. supporters say it the curb voter fraud. opponents say it's difficult for seniors. >> the older the voters are, the more likely they are not to have proper id. >> frank: coming up at 6 o'clock, your options this year if you show up to the polls

independent film. it's happening despite north carolina not offering tax incentives for independent films for more than a year. as we found out today, those projects leave a big exact. >> it's transforming transylvania county in to a hollywood set. >> we wanted to see what we could find here locally. >> reporter: so while james sutels is scouring talent for his independent film, an important role has already been filled for the county. >> economic development still equals economic development. >> reporter: transylvania saw fewer of these casting calls after north carolina dropped its film tax credits to smaller films.

>> frank: mixed results on wall street today. the dow was down 17 points ending trading at 16449. nasdaq picked up 6 and closed at 4620. happening now, the henderson county board of commissioners is holding a public hearing right now to consider incentives plant. the package is worth $51,000. years. the plant would create 26 new jobs at a salary that's above the average wage in henderson county. no word yet on where it might be located. buncombe county is expected to dole out some big money to an asheville brewery this week. >> anchor: that's right. highwire brewery. as an incentive to keep the new facility and any new jobs in the

$22,000 taxpayer incentive. the new highwire location opened in fall in biltmore village. >> we just hired our 15th person. yesterday was his first day. yeah, it's been huge to be able to stay here and bring all those jobs and economic development here in asheville and buncombe county. >> anchor: commissioners are expected to vote on the economic incentive for highwire at their meeting tomorrow. >> frank: the cause of this outbreak still unknown. dozens of customers in several states reported getting sick after reported eating at chipotle restaurants. to win back customers, chipotle is offering discounts for super bowl weekend. i'm sure they will be very busy. >> anchor: it's hard to believe we still have piles of snow on the ground after a day like this.

now your news 13 skywatch weather. >> karen: we see fog and a little bit of light rain on our leicester carpet sales news13 sky cam network up at coal springs ranch. still some lingering. like hope mentioned, it's taking a while for it all to melt off. 50 degrees at that elevation, it will happening probably over the next couple of days. meanwhile, that rain is going to be happening around many mountain locations over the next couple of hours.

we see this band of rain slowly pushing southeast ward, now moving across buncombe county on in to northern henderson county within the next hour. so if you do have evening plans outside, i would definitely go ahead and pack up the umbrella. we're not looking at heavy rain but just some of that light rain. 61 degrees at asheville. we see those clouds on our unca cam. winds out in the north at 6 miles per hour. 66 degrees and looking good on this paris mountain cam behind us. current conditions. we have a front that has stalled out across the mountains and the upstate. this is the trigger for the rain. bringing in that light rain that we're going to have on and off throughout the overnight. as we put the future cast in to motion midnight on, we see this

warm front actually right over our region. but then cooler air pushing in for tomorrow. we're still talking warmer than average temperature. cooler than what we've been dealing with today. as this area of high pressure moves in, it's going to be a cloudy day with scattered showers on tuesday. tuesday at 6 o'clock, things are about to change. we'll see that rain certainly pick up ahead of our next incoming cold front. some of this rain could be quite heavy at times. we also have a few thunderstorms that are going to be forming ahead of the front. we dry out behind that front late on wednesday. eventually we turn cooler and begin to feel a little more like february. future cast showing mainly light rain during the overnight on in to the morning commute. then that rain picks up a little bit later in the afternoon.
