mainly in the higherr elevations. if you have dinner plans for valentine's day tomorrow, keep that in mind. it's mainly going to be tomorrow night overnight in to monday morning when we're going to see that snow move in. that monday morning commute, oh boy, that isn't going to be fun. snow will be flying across the mountains. anywhere in blue, snow, gusty winds. blowing snow, low visibility. where you see the purple, that is a wintery mix. including freezing rain. and ice that will accumulate. by midday on monday, a good chance ice will continue in the foothills and upstate, too. most of the snow turning to rain. some of it continuing over the northern mountains before it changes over to all rain. and then eventually moves out. right now first look at snow fall accumulations. we're talking one to three inches in and around asheville with higher totals. six to eight possible in parts

ice accumulating on top of that, travel is going to be tricky. lows tonight. asheville 12. bryson city 14. burnsville down to 10. newland 9. 18 in forest city. highs tomorrow are going to be very chilly. asheville 31. hendersonville 33. mid 30s in franklin. that snow beginning to fall late in the afternoon. quick look at that 7 day forecast, of course showing that winter storm in full force on monday. tuesday, some lingering wintery mix. even on in to wednesday. later in the week, wow, feeling like spring with highs near 60 by next saturday. so if we can hold on for a few days. >> frank: a big switch over there. that will be nice. >> karen: yes, it will.
