3 today former president bill clinton will be in columbia to rally for support for his wife hillary clinton. the rally is taking place at 6pm at allen university. 3 3 columbia police are asking again ...if you know this man...they say he is a person of interest in a sexual assault on usc's campus.police believe he may have information that could help the case...but so far he has not made contact wtih officers. the sexual assault took place on january 30 at about 3:30 in the morning in the 800 block of barnwell street .police say a man forced a student to a nearby area where he sexually assaulted her.you can leave an annonmous tip by calling crimestoppers.. .1-triple-8-crime-sc. 3 this morning...richland deputies need your help identifying the man in this suveilance video.they say he is wanted for a burglary at the am/pm food mart on parklane road in december. deputies say he stole several bottles of liquor from the business, left and then came

having former inmates wandering around that downtown area is bad for business *and* neighbors.the ad hoc committee now wants to look in to contracting taxis to take former inmates wherever they want to go. 3 3 currently about 6 former inmates a day are dropped off at the transit stop.councilman rose says they hope to have a new plan developed by the end of the month.the system is and will be paid for with taxpayer money. 3 3 irmo town council is reconsidering it's nearly 40 year agreement with the founders of the okra strut. since the 1980's the town of irmo has allowed the lake murray women's club to take

earns at the annual event. that's including exclusive rights to okra sales, first pick of the booths, and requiring no fees.but mayor hardy king believes that everyone participating in the event should pay a fee.the president of the women's club says paying over 600 dollars to participate in the festival could put a dent in the non profit organization. 3 "to us, we're a small organization and when they take money out of our pocket we can't give money to the organizations that we donate to. so actually it would hurt us." 3 town council voted three to two...moving forward with the first reading of the changes. they are expected to discuss it further at their next meeting. 3 3 it's a main road in lower richland county....but right now you can't drive through it. the bluff road bridge.... just outside gadsen....was washed away during the october flood. now...state transportation crews are rebuilding it.they met with locals at the st john's baptist church in

the progress.right now the project is 31 percent complete and is expected to be finished by april 15.this bridge fix is in a combined contract with the congaree road fixes that cost just over 3 million dollars - funded by the federal highway emergency relief program. 3 "we had heard dates before, but now i feel more comfortable knowing that we are getting what we expected would happen, but it seems to be happening a lot sooner than we thought." although you may not have to use detours here much longer, there's still more work to be done. this morning there are 49 closures...about 20 of those are bridges. 3 for some people, the flood marked the beginning of a new job assignment...as possible historic sites were uncovered by all that water.news19's colby gallagher r s the details. 3 jim spirek: "sometimes it's a blessing and you can see what's there, but sometimes it can obviously be destructive as well."for archaeologists, natural disasters like the october flood can be a step forward and a step backward

timbers were actually exposed and out, sticking out, under the water."dr. jason moser works as the cultural resource manager for the south carolina national guard. once the flooded water was pumped from a spot at the mccrady training center, his team discovered a road they believe is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. dr. moser: "we don't know the significance of it. we think that it is part of the transportation system where the road here crossed in historic times, this road has been here for quite a while." though the road itself may not be a significant find, dr. moser says it can give insight on the engineering used in that time period. nat: pop but while the flood helped preserve a piece of history there, state underwater archaeologist jim spirek says 100 yards away, it damaged pieces of a prehistoric mill discovered in 1992. jim spirek: "whatever was the extent or what was here before has all been washed away and some of them are up in the tree line. so the water was moving very forcefully here and did have an impact on this site."since the land is on a federal military base, they're required by law to assess the sites. the archaeologists say this work goes beyond an assignment and is telling the

3 leaders at more than 30 public agencies and colleges in south carolina are getting a raise.yesterday... the agency head salary commission voted to increase pay either 2 or 5 percent depending on whether evaluations showed they met or exceeded expectations.lawmakers say the raises will help the state keep talented people. university of south carolina president harris pastides is getting one of th biggest boosts ... the state paid part will be close to 313-thousand dollars.overall 37 directors will get combined raises of 215-thousand dollars. 3 3 parkinson patients may be at higher risk for falling and hip fractures for years before being diagnosed. researchers in sweden studied more than 24-thousand patients. they found that in the 15 years before diagnosis, parkinson's disease was associated with a 36-percent higher risk of hip fracture. 3 drugs used to treat anxiety
