3 3 the suspect in the sexual assault case near the university of south carolina turned himself in. 23 year old, carlos jiovany hernandez was taken into custody and charged with criminal sexual conduct in first degree and kidnapping. officers say the attack took place off barnwell street last weekend.the victim was talking to hernandez when investigators say forced her to a nearby area and sexually

3 a columbia adult store is expected to close it's doors by the end of the week because of zoning violations.taboo on devine street opened in 2011 and since then they have been in an ongoing legal battle over zoning in the city of columbia.last month the store received a letter from the city... saying that they needed to comply with the new zoning codes for the store and have until friday february 5th to do so.the manager of the store says changing the way they operate could hurt their business. 3 they pretty much dissected the adult business. even though we are total retail where you can buy it here,e,take it home, they have now decided that we cannot sell toys, movies and magazines, that every one of those is a completely different adult business and you can't have that all under one roof. as far as we're concerned it's all retail.3 the store manager says the city wants their store to be appropriate for all ages. if they don't make changes by friday... they could be fined

face a 30 day jail sentence. 3 3 dozens of residents have been evacuated from a columbia apartment complex after a new ordinance is cracking down on poor living conditions.city leaders say there are many complaints and mainttenance issues over the years at the christ's court complex. on monday morning the city told residents they have 48 hours to leave the property after finding severe electrical, heating and mold issues.city manager teresa wilson says the new ordinance pushes for a more strict nuisance code when it comes to how property owners manage apararents. 3 "we intend to be more aggressive about these properties and go after individuals who are not doing what they are supposed to do when it comes to ensuring health and safety issues for the residents that are paying to live in their properties." 3 the 42 residents were all given temporary housing with
