we're seeing quite a bit of thunderstorm activity coming off of the gulf and there are tornado watches for louisiana, alabama. there are flash flood watches out from central alabama to georgia to south carolina. we've been watching this and, as you can see as we put this into motion, everything moving to the north. right now it's just a few light showers in the midlands. not much going on at the moment. we also have a wedge of cool air over the midlands right now. 47 in greenville, 46 in newberry. charleston is at 71 degrees. the front is just south of orangeburg. right now in columbia it is cloudy. 57-degree, winds from the northeast at 6 miles per hour.

car after it was crash into a utility pole. he blew a .09 on his breathalyzer. he later pled guilty. he was pulled over and questioned boy troopers for driving down the middle of the road andesited for open container. many have questioned why he remains in that position. code of laws, any state or county officeer indicted in any court may nthe discretion of the governor, be suspended by the governor who shall appoint another. it goes on to say if the person is convicted then the office will be declared vacant. in order for myers to be indo ited they must listen to the case, the grand jury, and

we have a lot of thunderstorms moving through that area. not much in our area at the moment. we have a front stationary to our south. back in texas it's getting organized and going to be intensifying overnight tonight and pulling a lot of moisture from the gulf of mexico into the southeast. right now we're just see the clouds over our area, just a few light showers in the area. it's south of orangeburg, temperatures there at 63. 67 in augusta, 55 in sumter, 57- degrees in columbia. good upstate and temperatures are in the upper 40s. for tonight we expect to see some showers but around daybreak we'll see thunderstorms someing through. the main line rather

led you to think something wasn't right? >> in sarah's case, she plateaued in her development at about 20 months of age. she had a normal birth, everything was progressing as we'd normally see in an early child. at the 20 month mark she develop add failure to thrive. she had an excess civil thirst and would urinate heavily. >> once y'all went to the doctor, how long did it take to diagnose her? >> there is about 500 individuals in the united states with this disease, about 2200 in the world. it is often misdiagnosed or not diagnoseed. we were quite lucky because a resident at palmetto children's had a workshop seminar of a syndrome on a friday afternoon and that monday morning we were

approved medication. what we want to focus on in this coming week is pushing forward the 21st century cures act. the senate now has the package and has been picking it apart. our objective is to show the essence of that act and how it could assist in one, work with funding for the national institutes of health. very important for the rare diseases as whole. we want the basic science of rare disease to be broadened and expanded and work closely with wonderful people and then part of the innovations bill, part of the cures act, to help stream line medical records and assist and draw comparison for conditions that may not have yet been diagnosed. >> that could help in
