it appears to simply be an accident. sean: police are investigating a serious car versus pedestrian crash. a volkswagen jetta hit a woman near the entrance of market basket. the driver was not hurt. police have not identified either person involved. they may release more information later today. erin: police in massachusetts are looking for the man they say stabbed another driver during a case of road rage. officers in braintree say the incident spanned about a quarter of a mile before both drivers stopped, got out of their cars, and started to fight in the middle of rush hour traffic. then one man pulled a knife. >> we pulled up. it was a man laying down. people ran up and were throwing blankets on him. he seemed to be bleeding. somebody said he was in

bleeding. erin: the victim was taken to a boston hospital. the other driver took off. police are still looking for him. investigators say they have a week vehicle description. they are not releasing it at this point. sean: u.s. stocks are off to the worst start after the dow shed 400 points. stocks in china are up and down again this morning raising new concerns for wall street. as lana zak explains, there's no need to panic. lana: finally a good trading day on the chinese market. after previously sparking global market panics over fearing of a slow economy, they closed 2% higher. that's in contrast to thursday when they fell 7% and trading was suspend 30 minutes after opening, which fueled a nose dive on wall street. the dow closed down 400 points yesterday.

back here at home an autopsy on the body of a man who was killed in the fire in andover. erin: the deadly fire broke out at a home on kearsarge mountain road shortly after noon yesterday. ray brewer live at the andover fire department. it was officially reported it involved an explosion. they don't think that's the case? ray: yeah. that's right. the call came in for reported propane explosion. they later determined. there was no explosion. the fire started in a brush pile outside of a home. now emergency crews quickly arrived on the scene. by the time they got there, they say the man was already dead. officials are not releasing his name until after an autopsy is completed today. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. but the state fire marshals office says this appears to be just a tragic accident and it is not considered

concerns over china here? is this more going on? nikole: that expert that we spoke to, you know, told us that, of course, china is a big part of the equation here. there could be other factors like the fed recently raising interest rates. some investors concerned how high they could go and how much the fed could raise rates and also iting earning season. in the next couple of week, we'll be finding out how they are doing. back to you. sean: in washington. thank you. erin: a philadelphia police officer is recovering after being shot while sitting in the cruiser. the officer was ambush and had to undergo surgery overnight. he is expected to survive. authorities say the suspect fired a total of officer three times in the arm. he returned the fire and shot the suspect. suspect's condition. cancer is the leading cause of death in new hampshire. 21 other states government health statistics. nationwide heart disease
