the drug crisis has become, narcan wilson be available at schools in nashua. sean: the school board voted to stock the schools with the drug that is used to reverse opioid overdoses. ray brewer joins us live to explain the next steps. ray: good morning. the next step will be to train school nurses and principles and how to administer the nasal version of narcan. the drug will be provided by the state. the school board voted 8-1 to stop the medication. the superintendent says he is not aware of overdose cases, but this is more about being proactive. he says it is not just the 11,000 students they are worried about, they are also thinking about student -- staff members and parents. >> we felt that one more tool that could be available in the hopefully unlikely instance that we might ever have an overdose. ray: before narcan is actually

review the policy. school nurses and principles will be trained. several other school districts are thinking about stocking narcan in an effort to be proactive. reporting live, ray brewer. erin: thank you. investigators think the same man may be responsible for robberies in concord and goffstown. yesterday morning, we told you about this robbery in concord. the clerk was hurt trying to fight off this robber armed with a knife. a man with a similar description also robs the citizens bank and goffstown yesterday afternoon. the man is missing some of his front teeth and wore the same hooded jacket. sean: the jury deliberated for only an hour before finding a former businessman guilty of to his hotel room.

was expressionless as the verdict was read. he used a false name when he met the 23-year-old female victim, pretended to own a company, and offered her a job interview to get him to -- her to his hotel room. yes the woman to shower and change and conducted a physical exam. he faces up to seven years behind bars. erin: a new report says that a navy seal from bedford who died in a parachute accident likely passed out during the jump. a newspaper says the investigation into blake marston' s death found that he should not have been on the plane at all because of a discrepancy over whether one of his certifications was up to date. according to that report, he was supposed to open his parachute five seconds into the jump, but he lost consciousness after 15 seconds. a driver of a city bus in warwick, rhode island may have suffered a medical emergency before crashing into an auto

kevin: are we going to see a months or so? sean: blizzard babies. we will send you down to the new [laughter] through. not much under those initially. we will continue to see the couple of showers. southern areas may be just afternoon. we really aren' out of that. temperatures will be the big story. we will continue to push temperatures upward into the low and mid 40' s in central and southern areas. that leads us to some fairly mild air. the quick moving systems don' t allow a huge push of arctic air to come south or linger for any period of time. that leaves us with temperatures at or above normal.

21 atop mount washington is relatively mild. not far to go. the winds today will be out of the south and picking up. maybe if you higher gusts by later on this afternoon. before the front arrives tomorrow, temperatures should get back up to 40 degrees. the chance of a showed -- of snow showers today or this evening. from there, we will see temperatures start to fall back later on tonight. maybe a couple of snow showers up north tomorrow morning. otherwise, it is air skies and a breeze. another four or five degrees cooler tomorrow. another four or five degrees cooler by thursday.

any overjoyed -- opioid overdose in his school that he is aware of, but he called on schools to stock the narcan just in case. the nashua school superintendent urged the school board to be proactive. he wants school nurses and principles able to administer narcan in the event of an overdose. in a district with more than 11,000 students, it would be available for use on staff and parents. >> it is easy to administer as a nasal spray. there are not known allergies. if you administer it to someone you have misdiagnosed, you are not going to harm them. ray: it does not have to be administered by a medical professional and would be provided by the state. >> i question whether we enable people with the narcan. ray: most members of the board of education want narcan in the school medicine cabinet.

then the man running off. the recovery will take months and he received multiple skin grafts. he bought the vaporizer months ago in an effort to quit smoking. >> when i saw his -- just the underwear, i almost fell apart. it is your kid. my grandson had been here and had picked that up, it would have killed him. it would have killed him. i don' t want to see anybody get hurt like that. sean: the battery company is based in china. his mom is not sure if he had the vaporizer in his pocket in addition to the battery. erin: a mother is facing charges after police say she was busted for transporting drugs while her two kids were in the car. 28-year-old marie fletcher was arrested following a traffic stop. officers found nearly 67 grams of heroin, fentanyl, and other suspected drugs. she is charged with three counts

and two counts of endangering welfare of a child. sean: the fourth person has been corrected in connection with a vandalism -- arrested in connection with a vandalism spree. 24-year-old matthew gioia was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. houses, mailboxes, and cars were tagged with spray paint. police say no additional arrests are expected. as granite staters gear of two cast their ballots, we are learning that two judges will be on standby. judge david anderson and judge robert mcnamara will be called for any issues stemming from the february 9 election. this will be the first

erin: the boston celtics took on the wizards in washington dc last night. marcus smart was set for the layout, but bradley beal took an elbow to the mouth. at the end of the first half, the celtics were leading 84-70. they never looked back. boston went on to win, making this their third win in a row. the celtics host the denver nuggets tomorrow night. sean: the boston bruins skated at the philadelphia flyers last night. five minutes into the game, patrice bergeron scored on a power play. brad marshand scored two minutes later. philly tidied up 2-2. but brett connolly got an unassisted goal for the bruins and boston wins it 3-2. erin: fisher cats fans will be featured on this season' s tickets. 10 families were selected as the winners of the family photo

a breeze out there today. some warmer air starts to make southerly and southwesterly breeze. that continues to transport milder air from the south. it is not nearly as mild as it would be for this time of year because of the two feet of snow they have aware that air is we have shower activity. a lot of this continues to dry north country. maybe just a passing rain shower for southern areas later on this afternoon. that is it for precipitation chances. we are in a fairly quick moving pattern right now with little disturbances riding in from the west. it does not allow for cold air to come in from canada. that means temperatures at or above the average in this type
