ray brewer is live on bridge street with reaction from the campaign. ray: this has been a tough campaign for kentucky senator rand paul and this break-in is an unwelcome distraction for campaign staffers as they ready for their final push. with primary day right around the corner, rand paul' s volunteers and campaign staff are hard at work. they are missing some equipment now. someone forced open a door and rummage through the office, stealing computers and ipads. >> these are tools we use every day to manage our data and contact supporters online. ray: campaign officials are confident that no sensitive data was compromised. they are working to replace the stolen items. >> the work continues.

ray: senator paul launched his campaign early, but he struggled to gain traction. supporters say he is the candidate who has remained true to his value. >> he is the most consistent on principle and in a way that does not get in the way of being pragmatic. ray: campaign officials do not believe there is any political tie in to the break-in. police also tell us that the thief took some clothing and food. reporting live, ray brewer. erin: thank you so much. investigators say a candle left burning on a dresser sparked a fire in northfield early this morning. when firefighters arrived after midnight on union road, they found heavy fire in the basement. one person was treated to minor burns -- for minor burns.

sean: a hearing is scheduled to address the sentence for a convicted sex offender. joshua baud was sentenced in 2014 for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl. a week later, the judge decided to reduce the sentence he handed down. it was not clear if he was allowed to do so. the state supreme court has said he can reduce the supreme court if he wants. erin: the drug crisis took center stage on capitol hill yesterday. manchester police chief nick willard joined kelly ayotte and jeanne shaheen to tell the senate how the epidemic is affecting the state. the senators are cosponsors of the comprehensive addiction and recovery act. chief willard urged lawmakers to

there will be several of these quick moving systems that will change our skies here and there. morning sunshine, high afternoon clouds, 30' s to lower 40' s. normal highs are in the 20' s to lower 30' s. we are about 10 above that. there is a chance of a couple snow showers later on tonight. we are not expecting huge problems from that. gradually milder temperatures. s monday, as well, next week. we start off with a bank of west. the rest of the clouds you see back to our west will start to produce some chances of snow showers later on this evening. down near zero up in pittsburgh. the west along the connecticut river.

and southwest which will help push things up. we will get up near 40 degrees by later this afternoon. not much of a wind to go along with it. it will feel pretty good later on this afternoon. clouds will thicken later on this evening. you will notice a couple of it or miss snow showers. it is not only western or northern areas, but southeastern spots could see snow showers around. skies will try to break apart tomorrow evening to set up pretty good timing for the weekend. by late in the day, there could be a little area of light snow trying to develop with that next system on saturday. there will be another one monday. that would be in the form of a passing rain shower. we have three systems to contend with before a much larger system

on wednesday. it is behind that system that temperatures really start to cool off. just beyond the seven-day forecast, we really start to see some changes. it could be a difference in the fact of snow. sean: snow? erin: we will stay tuned. kevin: it is almost tough saying that. i' m out of practice. erin: you certainly are. ray: manchester police are looking for the person responsible for breaking into rand paul' s campaign headquarters in manchester. the break-in happened late tuesday night, early wednesday morning, the thief getting away with ipads, computers, food, and clothing. the campaign does not believe sensitive data was compromised.

head-on crash in i-495. erin: 39-year-old martin mcdonald stabbed his wife to death. the victim, 34-year-old julie meede was pronounced dead at the hospital. police received several reports about a head-on crash on 495. his pickup truck crossed the median and slammed into the car. he was arrested and charged with murder. he will be arraigned today. sean: the texas father says justice has been served after he was charged with theft for taking away his daughter' s cell phone. in 2013, he discovered a text he thought was rude on his daughter' s cell phone. he took his daughter' s phone away. his ex-wife called police and he was given a citation and told to give over the phone. he refused. a year and a half later, he was charged with theft.

relationship with his daughter. >> to be able to stand up for my rights, it' s one thing. but i' m not glad that it has completely severed my contact with my daughter. she wrote me a letter and give it to me on valentine' s day that she did not want me to be her father anymore. sean: a judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to prove a theft occurred. he was found not guilty. erin: a wisconsin couple is crediting their dog with saving them from an armed robber. a man broke into the home last week after they failed to lock the door. the man demanded money. their three-legged dog levi started barking at the intruder and that is when the robber opened fire. a bullet grazed levi' s head and ended up lodged in his shoulder. the robber took off empty-handed after firing. >> a feeling that you cannot really express in words.

erin: this is not the first time levi has come to the rescue. in 2014, he fell off the edge of a trail while protecting his owner' s son. years earlier, he also survived being dog napped. sean: my goodness. that dog is getting a lot of treats. erin: a special request by a school in england has a lot of people talking. sean: the primary school is asking parents not to wear pajamas when they drop off the kids. she observed what she thought was night where being warned to school meeting -- nightware being born to school meetings. we are asking what you think about this. maria writes -- seems to make sense. kathy writes --

quick-moving pattern is the theme. the first system makes its way tomorrow. there is a system well off the east coast. these systems have been trying to link up, not for a huge snow showers. once it moves by tomorrow afternoon, we wait on the next system, which is on the northern plains. we start off cooler this morning, but with a light wind and a good deal of sunshine, temperatures will jump about 20 degrees from their current levels, which puts a lot of folks from the mid to upper 30' s to near 40. there are a lot of single digits in the north country. temperatures into the afternoon going 30' s to lower 40' s. these numbers are about 6-8 degrees above normal for this time of year.

warmer than what we should be for your overnight lows. we continue to see highs in the 30' 20' s. s, even in southern areas. there may be a snow shower or two out there. any chances of snow dwindled tomorrow evening. that sets up sunshine to start on saturday. there is that band for the northern part of the state for saturday evening. the next system tries to arrive on monday with a passing rain shower on monday afternoon. by then, temperatures are likely up into the 40' s. at the head of the next, much larger system that would arrive on it. it is that system stay that looks to change the
