could be armed and dangerous. now londonderry police have arrested him after a four-hour long standoff. police say last night in manchester just before 9:00 a 42-year-old man from boston came up to manchester to visit a friend. they say he encountered cherry and air yell dupuis, an argument the neck. authorities were searching for cherry and dupuis and this morning londonderry police got a house. afternoon. >> we received a tip that he might be at a residence here in londonderry, we located him and after a short period of time he came out of the residence, we arrested him, he was charged with resisting arrest. he's since been turned over to the custody of manchester p.d. reporter: police say now cherry

including assault. stephanie woods, wmur news 9. jennifer: also tonight, thousands of dollars worth of the powerful painkiller fentanyl is off the streets. milford police arrested this trio as part of an investigation into the sale of fentanyl, making its way into town directly from lawrence, massachusetts. when police went to question these men they tried to take off, but they were caught nearby. officers found 83 grams of fentanyl in the car. all three of them are being held on $50,000 bail. and all of these drugs, including cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, along with prescription pills as well as $22,000 in cash were all seized during raids in manchester overnight. 12 arrests were made. and seven guns were seized. tom: a dark cloud that hung over the seabrook police department has officially been lifted tonight. an arbitration ruling just in, marks the end of the appeals process involving four officers

went viral. wmur's jennifer crompton explains what happened and what happens going forward. reporter: this is the video that started it all. recorded inside the seabrook police station in 2009, then 19-year-old michael bench ron was being escorted to his cell when one of three officers appears to slam his head against the wall. in early 2014 it was posted to the internet, and sparked an investigation. two officers were fired, one disciplined, and their supervisor demoted. >> this is of course union guaranteed rights to appeal any discipline. and three of the four officers chose to appeal. >> the third and final now over. the supervising sergeant at the time john lawson had been promoted to lieutenant by the time the video went viral. after an independent investigation, he was demoted to patrol officer. and just this week an arbitrator

>> this last arbitration ruling essentially puts it behind us. reporter: mark richardson was the only one to face criminal charges, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and withdrew the appeal of his fire montgomery the last few weeks. adam laurent was fired, his appeal was denied last year. the rookie officer was disciplined and didn't appeal. with a new chief in place the town is looking ahead. >> so we're able now to turn the corner finally on this unfortunate incident, and move forward with a new police department and hopefully a brighter future. reporter: in seabrook, jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. jennifer: right now, snow showers are making for some whitefield. route 3 is closed between meadow pond road and hall road because of several accidents. drivers are buying diverted around that scene. this scenario is the exact reason state crews were treating parts of 93 north of ashland. let's go over to meteorologist

about the trouble these showers ahead. hayley: yes, indeed, we have had through. they're already gone in central and southern new hampshire. now it would be the deep freeze that would cause an issue with maybe some black ice. but it's still snowing up north in whitefield and lancaster. we're hearing of these issues along route 3, and probably 302 snow. in lancaster there isn't any snow on the radar, but that's deceiving because there actually is snow happening there, except the radar can't see a lot of times those communities because of the beam getting blocked by the white mountains coming from southern maine, that radar beam. so it is still snowing in whitefield and also in littleton, and roads are slick there. 31 degrees in whitefield, 34 in plymouth, and laconia, 35 in concord, so here's what you can expect for the weekend. more snow showers up north, during the evening hours tomorrow night, but for the rest of the weekend for everybody

with sunny conditions. i'll have more on the full forecast ahead. tom: thank you. tonight congressman frank guinta says he has repaid the $355,000 he owed as part of an agreement with the federal election commission. jennifer: guinta says he will run for reelevens this year. kristen carosa sat down with guinta today and is live with more. report congressman guinta says he wants to put this all behind him, something that has drawn a lot of attention throughout this past year. congressman frank guinta says he's starting fresh in 2016. >> the settlement agreement is all facets of it are completed. i repaid the personal loan, i paid the fine last year for a mistake that i made five years ago. reporter: last year the federal election commission ruled that guinta violated the law by taking excessive campaign contributions from his parents in 2010. guinta still to this day maintains he had a right to use

family fund. >> i have refiled the paperwork, identifying that this is a personal asset of mine. and i'm ready to move forward and focus on the work that we have in congress for 2016. reporter: guinta repaid the $355,000 with money from his current campaign account, something he says doesn't bother his donors. >> it doesn't necessarily come up. people support me for a whole variety of reasons, but i like to think it's because what they get out of me is good government. reporter: but not all of his constituents support him. a wmur granite state poll taken in october showed 50% of first resign. 34% of republicans said the same. >> the poll is a poll, it's one snapshot in time. i haven't relied on polls for years now. >> and he says the issue hasn't come up had he meet with constituents. >> if people ask, i'm more than willing to address it with

tom: a former wal-mart pharmacist has won a major lawsuit against her former company. jennifer: this week a jury ordered wal-mart to award her more than $31 million. maureen mcpad en claims she was wrongfully fire from the seabrook wal-mart after reporting safety concerns to management. she lost her pharmacy key and says wal-mart used that as an excuse to fair her. she also claims the company discriminated against her because she's a woman. >> i told the facts. i simply told my story, what happened in wal-mart pharmacy, and they listened and they believed me, it happened. it was wrong. >> wal-mart denies any wrong doing, saying she had been is

looks like a fun event. we do have snow showers passing a cross the state this evening. theres with a band that moved across the monadnock region and toward the seacoast, but that is gone now. all eyes now up on the northern part of the state here, north of the notches where we have some issues being reported because of the snow still falling. from lancaster to littleton, bethlehem and up toward twin mountain and whitefield, we're hearing that the roads are very hazardous. haven't had any reports of exactly how much snow is up there, but this is a three-hour loop of the radar and we can see that it's been ongoing in these areas. so no doubt at least an inch on the roads, maybe more than that. and it's been coming down at a good clip in these areas. so very treacherous travel north of the notches right now. so a heads up there. that will be the case all evening long in until the snow lets up, which will happen overnight tonight. this is storm system number one coming through right now exphvment this is storm system

through late in the day tomorrow. there will be snow showers with this system, mainly north of the notches. but little to no accumulation. but as we sea teed, even a little bit of snow on the roads can cause big issues. these are the high temperatures we got to today. the average high for this time in january is about 31. so even up north we were well above the average high, so that's about 38 manchester and in nashua. this is only the beginning. temperatures are really going to be warming up as we push forward. right now we're awe hanging onto the 30's. but look at the high temperatures as we go into the second half of the weekend and early next week. yeah, 50 degrees by monday. then we may flirt with that by mid-week next week. so we have some big temperatures fluctuations over the next week or so. as we push forward into february. hard to believe that. so some snow showers continuing up north of the notches throughout the evening and overnight hours, you see by 7:00 tomorrow morning, that they're gone, just a few

starting with sunshine, concord points south. with temperatures in the 20's. but then we lose the sunshine as clouds invade from the west to the east during the afternoon tomorrow. no snow with them, at least in central and southern new hampshire. maybe a quick dusting to an inch up north. then sunday worry all back to sunshine, a few passing clouds. look at the temperatures though by sunday afternoon we're all cranking it up into the mid 40's, even close to 50 in some of the southern communities on sunday. and definitely hitting 50 once we get to monday in those southern communities. tonight flurries end, clearing skies will take place. up north some lingering cloud during the morning hours and then all of us see the clouds fill in with temperatures in the 30's. upper 30's to low 40's tomorrow. then for sunday, a mix of sun and clouds, 45. and look at the temperatures as we progress next week. then mid-week on wednesday we have the chance of seeing some very heavy rain. some severe weather will track across the u.s. and then that

wednesday and it will fall in the form of rain because temperatures will be in the 40's. so this weekend, good weather for travel after tonight's shaky weather up north with the snow showers. tom: all right. jason is in with sports. >> a lot of friday night hockey to talk about. we'll talk about dartmouth and their clash with the null one team in the country.

and they're really good defensively. then you throw in specialty teams, which they're at the top of the country in, so they're a form middable opponent, but i know our guys will be ready to play. we've got to manage the puck well, stay out of the box and play with passion and desire. >> i think if we play our five on five game we should be good. >> we'll have highlight tonight. doesn't get any easier for the u.n.h. wildcats. they'll play two against providence fryars, both on the road. game one is tonight. new hampshire beat providence in last year's hockey east quarterfinals. but it was the fryars that went onto win the national championship. >> we're not afraid to go into battle with anybody and we've proved to ourselves that we can win against them on a big stage. so i guess we're a little more comfortable than we would have been if we lost that series. we're ready for whatever comes at us.
