highlights from the town hall style debate that also featured questions from the audience. angelica: the battle between hillary clinton and donald trump was full of drama from the start. they didnt even shake hands. mr. trump: this was locker-room talk. i'm not proud of it. i apologized to my family, i apologized to the american people. angelica: trump moving from what he said in the unearthed video and accusing former president bill clinton of sexual misconduct. mine are words. his was action. angelica: hillary clinton didn't indulge, insisting instead that trump can not be the next president. mrs. clinton: what we all saw and heard on friday was donald talking about women. what he thinks about women. what he does to women. and he has said that the video doesn't represent who he is.

henniker this morning to explain what happened. good morning, ray. ray: good morning, erin. police are not releasing many details yet, but they have told us that one person died, two others were taken to the hospital, and another two were treated at the scene. there were a total of four vehicles that were involved in the accident just after 6:00 last night. one of the cars was headed east. the other three were all going west along route 202 when th the crash was so violent that some of the vehicles lost their wheels. one of the vehicles was pulling a camper, and only two of the vehicles had new hampshire plates. the others were from maine and new york. right now, it is not clear what caused the crash. but it did shut down route 200 24 about eight hours last night. the road has since reopened. we are hoping to get more details later on this morning. reporting live in henniker, ray

are working to identify many of the people involved in a massive crowd in plymouth. police were called to pleasant street yesterday afternoon after residents reported a crowd of about 300 college students in their yard without permission. when officers showed up, they say the students then gathered on winter street and refused to leave for nearly two hours. four people have already been charged, mostly with disorderly conduct. and police say more charges are possible, based on pictures from the scene. two people are now facing deadly home invasion in massachusetts. 23-year-old joshua hart and 27-year-old brittany smith were arrested yesterday in virginia. they now face a list of charges including murder. police say they killed a 95-year-old man during a home invasion in the town of orange last wednesday, and severely injured his 77-year-old wife. investigators have recovered the victim's stolen car. so far there is no word as to a possible motive. big changes are coming this week

erin: desperation is starting to take over in parts of haiti as rescue efforts ramp up after hurricane matthew devastated the impoverished country. helicopters are dropping food and supplies, but on the ground, some convoys have been attacked by gunmen because the trucks are hundreds of people died in haiti, and tens of thousands of homes were destroyed, but officials still don't have a firm grasp on the extent of the disaster because some areas remain cut off. meanwhile, matthew is blamed for at least 18 deaths here in the u.s. most were swept away by floodwaters, and the governor of north carolina says that number could rise. flood waters are still rising this morning, and another town in north carlina was evacuated last night. more than a million people are

significantly expand one of the snowmaking ponds, taking it from 4 million gallons of water to 24 million gallons. officials say this will hopefully allow them to open more terrian earlier in the season. ragged currently has 57 trails with plans to expand. so another pond will mean more snowmaking possibilities. kevin: it was not all rainfall yesterday. let's look at the webcam atop mount washington. 20 degrees. anything but rain, which meant ice pellets, snow, sleet, ice. wind gusting over 60 mph, and the temperature is 20 degrees. while we will not be quite as cold or windy, it is foreshadowing the cooler air coming in, and the breeze that eventually will next down as the sun comes up early this morning. breeze 10-20 mph.

the day moves on. could have a gust up to even 30 mph. this eventually brings in cooler air later tonight. you will notice we have freeze warnings away from coal ash county, where they have already had the hard freeze. mount washington have had a frost but not a hard freeze yet. a freeze warning posted for later tonight and early tomorrow. in areas that have not had widespread frost in eastern and southeastern parts of the state -- away from the shoreline, zones right at the coast, there is a certain likelihood of frost later tonight as temperatures dip back into the 30's. i suspect these clouds with her away, although western areas will quickly give way to sunshine. all the way back into the northern plains before our next system tries to arrive in the form of a passing cold front on thursday. temperatures ahead of that in the 40's. bear in mind wind, sustained

one person was killed and several others were injured in a crash on route 202 in henniker last night. police were on scene well into the early morning hours today. wmur's ray brewer is in henniker with the latest on this. ray, do we know anything new this morning? ray: at this point, police are not releasing a lot of details. they do tell us that a total of four vehicles were involved in this crash just after 6:00 last night. one of the cars was headed east. heading west when crash happened at the split with route 114. one of the vehicles was pulling a camper. the crash was so violent that some of the vehicles lost their wheels. one person was killed. two were taken to the hospital. and two others were treated at the scene. it is not clear what caused the crash. route 202 is now open after being shot for about eight hours. we hope to get more details from

brewer, wmur news 9. erin: environment crash in vermont left five teens dead and several other people injured. police say 36-year-old steven bourgoin was going the wrong way on 89 saturday night when he hit a car with 5 teenagers inside. officers say when a police officer left his cruiser at the scene, he then stole that vehicle and started driving away, hitting seven more vehicles before the cruiser caught fire. investigation. it's been six years since 53-year-old lynne brennan was found dead in her manchester apartment. no arrests have ever been made in the case. but last night, her family gathered to celebrate her life. brennan's sons held a party in her honor last night. sharing stories about their mom's life. brennan was going through a divorce at the time of the murder and had only been living , in the apartment a few months. her sons say they still know

investigation. >> it is something i think about every day and i know my brothers think about every day. >> the only thing we can do is try to move forward and try to honor her memory of when she was alive. erin: if you have any information about what may have happened to lynne brennan you can contact manchester police. police in roxbury, massachusetts are still looking for the person who shot a nine-year-old on a playground. police say the girl was playing on a playground with a group of people just after 1:00 sunday morning when the shots were fired. she is expected to recover. police say there was a party in a nearby parking lot at the time. the city of manchester kicked off fire prevention week with a parade. the 62nd annual fire prevention parade is held each year in october. the goal is to raise awareness for changing batteries in smoke detectors and other alarms, along with making a family plan to escape a home in the event of a fire.

22-year-old syrian man who is believed to have been preparing a bomb attack. jaber albakr was detained overnight. albakr escaped the authorities saturday during a raid of his apartment. investigators reportedly several -- reportedly found several hundred grams of a volatile explosive. german media have reported that albakr is believed to be connected to islamic extremist groups. the winds from what's left of hurricane matthew are diminishing. but water levels along the north carolina coast remain high. flooding is expected to continue over parts of the state hit hardest by the storm. at least fe missing. abc's marci gonzalez shows us some of the damage left behind. marci: in matthew's aftermath, lingering concerns in the carolinas. >> the weather map shows that hurricane matthew may be gone, well off the shore into the ocean, but in our minds the impact of the storm is still here and still dangerous.

. erin: an officer injured in a shooting that killed two other officers is awake and speaking with investigators this morning. officers jose gil gilbert vega, a 35-year police veteran, and lesley zerebny, a new mom were killed in the line of duty saturday. police say 26-year-old john felix opened fire while the 3 -- three officers were trying to resolve a family dispute. >> this is an unbearable loss, a loss to all of us in law enforcement and really all of us in this community. doing their job is an attack on all of us. erin: felix will be charged with murder tomorrow and could face the death penalty. today the the hoboken terminal , in new jersey where a train crashed last month is scheduled to reopen. as a safety precaution, a new rule will require the conductor to join the engineer whenever a train pulls into the terminal. officials are investigating why the train was traveling at twice the speed limit when it crashed.

are warning commuters to be prepared for delays and crowds this morning after a train derailed over the weekend. investigators say a 12-car commuter train and a train performing track maintenance were traveling in the same direction when they side-swiped each other saturday night. that caused the commuter train to derail. thirty-three people were injured, four of them seriously. pope francis has named 17 new cardinals. three of the new cardinals are americans, including moderate chicago archbishop blaise cupich and indianapolis archbishop joseph tobin. the cardinals will be elevated on november 19, on the eve of the close to his holy year of mercy. it was the day patriots fans have been waiting for, the triumphant return of tom brady. the patriots were at the cleveland browns. first drive, brady to gronk who breaks tackles and rumbles all the way.

the crash so violent that some of the vehicles lost their wheels. erin: the second presidential debate was a heated one in saint louis last night. the candidates went head to head on issues like isis and taxes. as well as controversies surrounding each of their campaigns. big changes are coming this week to the sarah long bridge in portsmouth. crews are planning to remove the lift span on friday as part of the bridge replacement project. and police are working to identify many of the people involved in a massive crowd in residents reported about 300 college students in their yard without permission yesterday. four people have already been charged. kevin: some clouds in the north country. otherwise, we have sunshine. in the foreground, the water moving. a northwest wind blowing at times over 25 mph. the sun not necessarily going to feel as warm.
