everything is up to speed on the seacoast. in massachusetts, no problems heading into boston, burlington, or lowell. as brought to you by minuteman health and i am dead davidson. sean: the holiday weekend is over, but it was a very deadly one on new hampshire roads. at least half a dozen people died in crashes since friday, the most recent was last night on interstate 93 in manchester. state police barracks in bedford this morning with the new details we learned overnight. ray: good morning. state police say the crash on the southbound side of interstate 93 involved a total of five vehicles and claimed the life of a woman from derry. with the end of the holiday weekend there was a lot of extra traffic on the highways last night. police say a pickup truck driven by a man from hudson didn't slow

6:30 last night and hit several vehicles. investigators say the impact was strong enough that one of the vehicles rolled several times and ended up off the highway. the driver of that car, 62-year-old cynthia perkins of derry died at the scene. no one else was seriously hurt in the crash, which does remain under investigation. so far, no charges have been filed. this marks at least five deadly crashes in new hampshire since their lives. reporting live in bedford, ray brewer wmur news 9. sean: thanks. the man charged in connection with the death of his 19-month-old step child is due in court today. 30-year-old leo witham was arrested on friday, two days after the child died at an apartment on ashworth avenue in hampton. witham faces several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child for purposely violating a duty to care and

investigators have not released any details about the child's death. a rochester man accused of supplying the drugs that killed a man over the summer is due in court this afternoon. 27-year-old ryan kirk was arrested on sunday after a three month investigation. a 24-year-old man was found dead in an apartment back in june, and police believe he came to new hampshire specifically to buy the fentanyl that ultimately killed him. investigators say it is often hard to bring charges in cases like this. >> they are difficult cases because you have to have a witness to the actual act of ingesting the drug. unfortunately, a lot of witnesses are tied up in the world of addiction and they don't necessarily want to be cooperative with the police. sean: the number of overdoses is on pace to hit a record high

robbing the td bank on south main street in the queen city. police say 35-year-old brian chistoffels handed a note to a teller yesterday afternoon and then took off. officers learned that he might be getting off interstate 93 in londonderry, so they stopped traffic and say christophels gave up when they approached his car. a new national wall street journal-nbc news poll this morning shows hillary clinton opening up a double digit lead over donald trump in the race for the white house. paul ryan announcing he will no longer defent the gop nominee. and clinton drew a record crowd at a rally last night in ohio. abc's angelica spanos is following the campaigns. >> donald trump on the campaign trail, warning that more attacks will come if more tapes emerge. >> if they want to release more tapes saying inappropriate

like we do. sean: it's tuesday, hobart 11th. a lot of people are going back to work or school after the long holiday weekend. they are working up to some cold temperatures. let's get to our top stories. a crash along i-93 last night. state police believe the driver in the pickup truck didn't realize traffic and slow down in front of him. five vehicles were involved. there was a memorial for five high school students killed in a crash in vermont over the weekend. the driver will faced five counts of murder once he is released from the hospital. we are four weeks away from election day.
