erin: thanks for ending your week with us. i'm erin fehlau. sean: i'm sean mcdonald. we're about to get to the weekend, and it looks like nice weather. kevin: the cooler air is going to be in place, but it looks like a good deal of sunshine both days, chilly starts both mornings. we start off with temperatures in the 30's up north and lower and mid 40's in the southern. a taste of the cooler air that will funnel in. it will be with sunshine. h that should give way to partial sunshine. the breeze this morning, active already. it will be gusting at times over 15 to 20 miles an hour through the afternoon. that eventually is going to send temperatures backwards tonight, maybe the first fross for the coast early tomorrow morning. much more on the weekend coming up. let's look at the friday morning late. we're joined by deb davis. good morning, deb. deb: good morning, kevin. we're starting the morning with problems right now in pelham due to an overnight crash.

a woman here in belmont. investigators combed the pirates cove along daniel webster highway last night after someone reported seeing cuocolo, but they came up empty. he's accused of shooting a 33-year-old woman in the head tuesday in belmont, then stealing a car to make his getaway. that car was later found in meredith. >> should be considered armed and dangerous, and i would highly suggest that no one approach him, but if you too see someone matching his ray: police believe cuocolo is on foot. police are urging people to lock their doors, keep a sharp eye out. the victim is expected to survive. reporting live, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: in a new court filing yesterday, hillary clinton says under oath that she cannot recall key details of her use of a private email server and

prison for robbing a queen city bank last year. 25-year-old ricardo mejia pleaded guilty to holding up the northway savings bank. he admitted that he told a teller he had a gun and said, "don't give me any tainted money or i'll come back and shoot you." a massachusetts state trooper who was indicted for assaulting a man who allegedly led police on a two-state car chase is due in court. in nashua today, joseph anyone has pleaded not simple assault. in flynn's response to the indictment, flynn says he was justified in the use of nondeadly force to arrest and capture richard simon. a new hampshire state trooper already pleaded guilt toy simple assault charges in the case. erin: a new hampshire car was involved in a massive crash in york, maine. a total of 10 vehicles were involved, including a dump truck that overturned, partially burying the new hampshire car in sand. four people were taken to the hospital, but incredibly, no

due to problems with the parking brakes. the recall includes about 350,000 civics from the 2016 model year. honda says the electronic parking brake may not work if applied right after turning the ignition off. owners will be notified starting next month. the weather is starting to turn colder, but it looks like it will cost a little more to stay warm this winter. prices for oil, propane, natural gas, and electricity will all likely be h to what they were in previous years. still, you can expect to pay several hundred dollars more between now and march. heating oil prices are up by about 42 cents a gallon. sean: the university may be bigger than we previously thought. an international team led by a professor in england now estimates that there may be up to two trillion galaxies in the universe. previous estimates put the number between 100 and 200 billion.

[laughter] erin: oh, nows kevin: occasionally that happens to me in the morning, sometimes you got to carry the one. we start off early on with a northwesterly breeze, which is going to continue to dry things out today. lower humidity levels eventually seeking temperatures as cold as we have been so far this season later on tonight. we have seen this play out over the last several mornings, where temperatures dip back into the 20's and 30's. well, we are looking at temperatures later on tonight to fall back into the 20's to near 30, and maybe down into

because of that, frost advisory posted for the coast later on tonight, one of the few places where the growing season continues at this point. next front for us located up in the northern plains, and that doesn't arrive here until sunday evening. so the timing of friday and our weekend is pretty good as it stands now. temperatures not too bad to take early this morning. we have them in the low and mid 40's, but we have a breeze, which is already active, and gusting over 20 miles an hour. that will continue through the day. that brisk wind is going to set up cooler temperatures. now, this eventuallyll rotates through tomorrow night and into sunday morning, and then we get a little bit of a surge of warmth, which likely lasts through a good portion of next week. so 50's to near 60 today. bear in mind, with the wind, even despite the sunshine, it's probably going to feel a little bit cooler than that, and the partial sunshine that we have up north later on this afternoon will be after some morning clouds. tonight, mostly clear skies. lighter winds overnight. and again, we're talking anywhere from let's say 22 up in pittsburgh to as warm, if you want to call that, as 37

talking about, even just a few miles inland. 50's to near 60's tomorrow. the difference, not much of a wind out there tomorrow, so it will feel good with the full sunshine. and then after another chilly night tomorrow night and early sunday morning, with lows in the 20's to mid 30's, maybe just a couple of degrees warmer in most locations. we do see an increase in high clouds later on sunday afternoon, and maybe a couple of showers sunday night and early monday, but that's really about it as far as any sort of weather for us here over the next t 50's to near 60 as we work our way through the afternoon. here's the extended forecast. again, similar temperatures tomorrow, but it will be with a much lighter wind and full sunshine. from there, we start to add a few extra high clouds on sunday. temperatures in the afternoon making their way up into the 60's. and yes, 60's to even some lower 70's for the first half of next week. it is not perfect weather, though. we will have a couple of showers and here there, which, as we've been talking about, seven, eight months now, we

credible tip that jason cuocolo was in meredith, this two days after he allegedly shot a woman here in belmont. in meredith, some residents are worried this morning after authorities announced they're still searching for the man suspected of shooting a woman. >> they vanity caught him yet? >> no. >> oh, my. ray: new hampshire state police converged on daniel webster highway in meredith last night after getting a tip about jason cuocolo. belmont police say cuo a 33-year-old woman in the head tuesday at a home on arlene drive. police say he fled the scene in a stolen car that was later found in meredith. >> we got a tip. we've gotten several tips since this incident occurred. the latest one was a reliable one, as he was recently seen in this immediate area. ray: troopers searched a home and wooded area near pirates cove after the reported sighting, but nothing turned up, news that was disappointing

roads blocked and everything and had him in the woods. ray: investigators say cuocolo is believed to be traveling by foot. >> should be considered armed and dangerous, and i would highly suggest no one approach him. but if you see someone matching that description, please contact us. ray: police say that the tips were reported seeing cuocolo dressed in blue jeans, sweatshirt, and a ball cap. they're urging people to keep their doors locked and a sharp eye open. the victim in this case is brewer, wmur news 9. sean: ray, thanks. the man accused of starting a fire late last month is behind bars. officers arrested 30-year-old tyler prescott in connection to a fire in his mobile home on mayhew turnpike on september 30. because the unit was occupied, he faces felony arson charges along with reckless conduct and criminal threatening charges. authorities would not comment

tom: it was a fire in a mobile phone. we've identified that. one of the residents who lived there is responsible for the fire. we have issued warrants for his arrest, and he has been taken into custody. sean: right now prescott is being held on $100,000 bail. erin: this morning, two boston police officers remain in critical but stable continue after being shot while responding to a domestic disturbance. police say 33-year-old opened the home this week. several other officers ran inside and exchanged gunfire, killing the suspect. responding officers then began administering first aid, and they're being hailed as heroes. >> officer morris was hit in one of his main arteries in his leg. the officers were dwoik put their hands and apply a tourniquet, which doctors later say probably saved his life. erin: police say the suspect

was a constable delivering civil paperwork. sean: happening today, the suspect in the fatal wrong-way crash on i-89 in vermont will face five second-degree murder charges. steven burgoin will be arraign this had morning from the hospital. police say he was driving the wrong way on i-89 near burlington saturday night when he crashed into a car, killing five teens, including 15-year-old janie from meredith. he's also accused of stealing a crashing into several other vehicles. a judge had set $1 million bail for the initial charges. erin: tipton police need your help finding an alleged drug dealer. police say 33-year-old jessica allen is wanted on two sales of a narcotic drug and possession with intent to distribute charges. the charges are part of a joint police investigation. they say during the investigation, approximately 200 grams of suspected heroin

-- of suspected heroin fentanyl was found. sean: officers say matthew emerson grabbed a 82-year-old woman's purse from her car as she was leaving the store monday and ran to the value street cemetery, where some of it was later found. if you know where emerson is, call police. erin: chichester police are looking for two men they say stole jewelry from a home. they say the two men went to a home on horse corner road on thursday and offered to seal coat the victim's driveway. they say instead went into the victim's bedroom and stole several pieces of jewelry. anyone with information is urged to call the police. sean: st. anselm college just received its single largest donation in the history of the school. $6 million. the donation came from roger and fran clean. roger is a st. anselm alumnus and has always given back to the school. this donation will help build a new student center on campus. the existing center will be updated and enlarged to

sean: the justice department is now moving forward with plans to collect police use of force data. the f.b.i. plans to begin the pilot program early next year. law enforcement agencies will collect data on how often officers use force and how often civilians die in police custody. the earliest participants would be the largest law enforcement agencies. erin: federal investigators have released a preliminary report on last month's train crash in hoboken, new jersey. one woman was killed and the train crashed. the ntsb says that heavy damage to the front of the train is hampering the investigation. additional testing has been scheduled after investigators found the electronics controlling the train's brakes and propulsion system were destroyed in the crash. sean: well, if you're traveling this morning, you may want to check your flight. united airlines says it has resolved a problem that caused nationwide flight delays last night. a statement from the airline says there was an issue with its weight reporting system,

been fixed, and it says it's now working to get passengers affected by the delays to their destinations. right now, there are no delays out of manchester, but you may encounter them if you're flying through other airports. erin: the man accused of detonating bombs in new york and new jersey is being held on bail this morning. ahmed rahimi pleaded not guilty yesterday to five counts of attempted murder of officers. federal officials are still looking into his motive and past. his father claims that he ago that his son had terrorist ties. erin: the f.b.i. says the father later recanted those claims, and rahami was never questioned. he's now facing federal charges for the bombings. sean: the zika virus has been discovered in another neighborhood in miami. florida governor rick scott says five new locally transmitted cases have been confirmed in the the river area.
