doors for that event open at 4:30. meanwhile, according to our latest wmur granite state poll clinton's lead here in new hampshire is growing. she now leads trump 48% to 33% with gary johnson and jill stein both in single digits. and the majority of respondents say clinton is the candidate best equipped to handle issues like the economy, isis, and immigration. erin: three men charged in connection with an attempted roy in a massive manhunt are due in court today. and the alleged victim says one of the suspects hit him on the head with a gun. wmur's ray brewer is live in epping this morning to explain the frightening situation. good morning. ray: good morning. it certainly was a tense situation yesterday afternoon as residents were told to stay in their homes in the high school was put on lockdown.

afternoon when police say three men broke into a house on lamprey village drive. the alleged victim says he knew one of the men from school. he also says one of the men hit him with a gun and that the suspects asked for money several times. a police officer happened to be on patrol in the area at the time, noticed a suspicious vehicle and was able to catch two of the men. a manhunt ensued for the third suspect until a neighbor spotted him. >> we dispatched a seacoast emergency response they did search and find the suspect hiding in a shed the hind the property. ray: raul natareno faces several charges including burglary, robbery, and resisting arrest. police have not identified the other two suspects in the case but all three are expected in court today. as for the victim, he did not require medical at -- attention. reporting live in epping, ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: investigators are trying

wolfeboro. when firefighters arrived on bay street just after 11:00 last night they found heavy fire coming from a building owned by the sawmill marino boating club. crews were able to contain the fire and salvage many of the records and computer equipment. there was only minor damage to a boat storage building next door. erin: a teenager in derry says he grabbed a bow and arrow when a stranger tried to break into his home. two teenaged brothers were home alone last friday when s pond road. andrew kennedy says he told his brother to call 911 while he got his bow and chased the man away. >> so i went outside and confronted him, started screaming at him and telling him to leave, and when he eventually did, i chased him down the street so he would not harm anyone else. >> the police came from every direction, apprehended him, took

i am so proud of my sons. they are very brave. erin: 31-year-old david mccumber of manchester faces a total of four charges and is due back in court next week. sean: two new hampshire men accused of blowing up a newspaper box in salem, massachusetts are due in court today. the blast back in august destroyed a box for the rainbow times, and lgbt newspaper. police say 23-year-old john richard of hollis and 20-year-old lawrence gilman of milford were resns isn't enough evidence to charge them with a hate crime. a nashua man is accused of crashing a stolen car along interstate 93 in windham. state police say 24-year-old victor rosario hit an electronic construction sign while trying to pass traffic in the breakdown lane late yesterday morning. witnesses say he was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. police say rosario ran off after the crash but he was arrested a short time later.

and those are the things the army preaches, all day every day. sean: captain shane morgan had a heart attack during an army mandated test at fort devens in massachusetts. morgan says the army violated their own regulations by taking months to investigate the medical incident. he and his wife decided to go public after being told that his heart attack was not considered in the line of duty. >> i wanted to hit the army times first because i know that goes right to the heart of e this because shane didn't have a voice, he couldn't talk because he was in the military. i am not in the military so i can do what i need to do. sean: the army is reopening the case and an investigator from georgia arrives today so far no army officials have commented to news 9. we will certainly keep you updated on that situation. erin: it is now 5:13.

ahead of special interests can make a difference. and that's why i approve this message. sean: hundreds of drinking fountains in parks in chicago have been shut off due to high levels of lead. about 460 fountains roughly 20% of the chicago park district fountains are out of service based on samples collected over the summer. officials say the fountains will be removed, replaced or repaed it is not clear where the lead came from. the cdc is adopting new recommendations for the hpv vaccine. health officials now say pre-teens only need to get two shots instead of three and that the shots should be spaced 6 to 12 months apart. doctors hope this will help increase the number of 11 and 12-year-olds who get the shots. right now less than a third of 13-year-olds have gotten three doses.

coming to the north country. nsa industries, a sheet metal manufacturer based in vermont signed a long-term lease yesterday to expand operations in groveton. the plan is to start new operations at the former wausau paper mill early next year creating at least 40 new jobs. nearly 300 people applied for jobs there including machining and welding. the paper mill closed back in 2007, putting hundreds of people out ofor when drivers are not needed. the automaker announced late yesterday that all new teslas will be made with complete self driving hardware. ceo elon musk says the features in the new cars will make them significantly safer than having a human driver and they will even be able to see clearly through fog and rain, though the features will add several thousand dollars in cost.

situation yesterday afternoon in a section of acting. residents on lamprey village drive were told to stay inside their homes and the high school was put on lockdown as police launched a manhunt for the suspects in that attempted robbery. dylan czubaruk says three men came to his home wednesday afternoon to rob him and one of them was not a stranger. >> someone i once knew from back in school came to my house asking to hang out and i told him i didn't want to hang out and then like came into my home, pleading to hang out with me. i did not want to hang out with him. he left and then about a minute later, two gentlemen came in my house with a firearm and strong held me, attacked me and asking -- attacked made, looking for anything to take. ray: despite being hit with the gun czubaruk did not need medical attention. epping police say an officer on patrol in the neighborhood

and caught two of the men. the third suspect ran away and a manhunt was launched. police say they eventually found the suspect raul natareno hiding in a shed. he is now facing several charges including burglary and robbery. police have not released the identities of the other two men but again, all three men are due in court later today. live in epping, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: the attorney general now says that a deadly officer involved shootinin a report, released yesterday says that 25-year-old cody lafont was drinking alcohol before calling police several times. investigators say lafont was holding a gun when a claremont officer responded to his calls and he refused to drop the weapon. corporal ian kibbe says the gun was moved in his direction and lafont was shot three times. his mother told news 9 that her son suffered from depression and

>> we understand that a young man who was loved by many friend and many family died and it's a tragic circumstance but in the end this tragic circumstance was legally justified. erin: the claremont officer will not face any criminal charges. sean: a massachusetts man is accused of exposing himself to students on board a school bus in goffstown last month. 21-year-old matthew dube is now charged with indecent exposure. bus in his car when he allegedly exposed himself to a group of high schoolers. the students were able to get video of the suspect. dube is due back in court next week. a man from maine is due in court in conway today. 32-year-old ricky morin is wanted in maine for attempted rape and faces theft charges in the granite state. police say he also made threats against law enforcement. morin was arrested without incident yesterday after being spotted near the home depot in north conway.

this morning after being hit by a car in derry. police say 17-year-old mackenzie clark was crossing east broadway with her younger sister yesterday morning when she was hit. clark was taken to the hospital with head and torso injuries. the grandmother of a man charged in connection with the death of his stepson is speaking out. it is not yet clear how leo witham's 19-month-old stepson died two weeks ago. police say they found an open room where witham was living with the child. witham's grandmother says she tried to help him and his family through tough times. last week, witham's attorney said he was trying to get help for a drug problem. >> i really believe in my heart and soul and being that he did not cause this. >> that little one gave me a big

i will never forget. erin: witham is now facing child endangerment and drug charges. authorities say he could face additional charges once it is determined how the little boy died. sean: daybreak, a former prison inmate in berlin has been sentenced to eighteen months behind bars for possessing a weapon. the attorney general's office says officials found a six-inch plastic stabbing weapon in joshua starr's cell, during a routine search last november. this was the second time starr was caught with a he was initially sent to prison for an armed carjacking. also new this morning two people , were taken to the hospital last night after a car crashed into a building in manchester. the accident happened shortly after 10:00 on notre dame avenue. the circumstances surrounding this crash remain under investigation. erin: crews are now removing the lift towers from the sarah long bridge between portsmouth and kittery. workers floated out the middle section of the bridge last week. they removed the top of the

we start off with their skies across the area and temperatures in the 30's and 40's. we have kind of gone back and forth, monday was a warm day, we cooled off tuesday, we warmed up yesterday, and cooler temperatures today. upper 50's to mid 60's, early sunshine giving way to an increase in clouds a scattered showers and drizzle tonight with temperatures in the 60's. tomorrow you might even notice a little bit of humidity with clouds out of the south. there could be a shower up north this morning or in western areas this afternoon, but the system glides to the north and west for the time being but others shower chances. the further you go north we

clear skies during the evening. despite the cooler start we should get at least into the upper 50's and low 60's, also some patchy fog in those areas that have had clear skies overnight. anywhere between 58 and 64 today. the light breeze will start to pick up out of the east and southeast. 3:00, we are mostly a few showers wandering through overnight and patchy drizzle over some fog in areas, temperatures in the 40's and 50's. in the 60's for most of tomorrow, not an all-day rain but there will be some showers from time to time and even a brief downpour. the best chances will be later friday evening before wrapping up early on saturday.
