during the drought, but will it hold off for trick-or-treating tomorrow? meteorologist hayley lapoint has your halloween forecast. hayley: it was said this evening for the trick-or-treaters with the rain showers moving through. with a number line you were good -- an umbrella you are good to go. phil get some sunshine tomorrow and for trick-or-treating it will be dry. it will certainly be cooling down quickly. now it is cool. we a 45 in manchester and nashua. here is the halloween forecast. 40's up north for highs tomorrow. only near 50 in concord in manchester. 49 in nashua. as for the spooky trick-or-treat forecast tomorrow night, clear skies and temperatures falling through the 40's. it will likely land in the 30's by the time a lot of the trick-or-treaters are wrapping things up. it will be cold.

to expect as we get into the rest of the work week, including a warm-up. that is ahead. cherise: thank you. breaking commitment 2016 news right now. the fbi has obtained a search warrant to review emails that may be tied to hillary clinton. the warrant is for emails on the laptop of clinton's aide huma abedin. the emails were discovered in an unrelated sexting investigation into abedin's estranged husband, representative anthony weiner. the fbi will determine if they contain classified information clinton's private server. republican vice presidential hopeful mike pence jumped on the chance to talk about the fbi's investigation at a rally in rochester today. with more than a week to go until the election, the clinton and trump campaigns are focused on winning the granite state. wmur's mike cronin joins us live in the studio now. mike: a new poll released today shows the race is tight and in a swing state like new hampshire winning here can make the difference.

just 9 days to go until the election. donald trump's running mate governor mike pence was back in , the granite state today, campaigning in rochester and feeling confident about november 8. >> people are really beginning to come to the conclusion that this isn't a choice between two candidates, it's a choice between two futures. mike: in florida hillary clinton focused on the election outcome in the wake of a renewed fbi investigation into her emails. hillary clinton: there's a lot of noise and distraction, it really comes down to what kind of future we want and who is our president can help us get there. mike: according to a new abc news-washington post poll, the presidential race is close. the difference between the two candidates is now one percentage point, with clinton at 46% and trump at 45%. political analyst chris galdieri says the email issue could play a role on election day. >> republicans who had been planning to sit out the election might see it as worth turning out to vote and voting for trump anyway.

and chelsea clinton will also stop in hanover and keene on friday. here in new hampshire more than half a dozen statewide candidates converged on temple adath yeshurun in manchester for a forum. in the race for the statehouse corner office democrat colin van ostern and republican chris sununu differed on whether they would sign, as governor, what is known as an anti-bds bill, fighting boycotts, divestment and sanctions against israel. >> extremism on either side doesn't work. it should be opposed and i would oppose it. >> i think i would. it would depend on the content of the legislation. i think it's important a governor be careful not to overpromise until they have seen an actual bill. cherise: the three candidates vying for the 1st congressional district seat fielded questions ranging from tackling the debt and deficit to gun control. both u.s. senate candidates were also at the forum governor maggie hassan telling news 9 she's going to give back more than $30,000 in campaign

report from the boston globe spotlight team that indicated the thornton law firm in massachusetts, which gave hassan $31,000 this cycle, is allegedly using bonuses to reimburse law partners' political donations. >> we had no idea of the things that the globe reported, how the firm was reporting contributions internally. and i assume, as the globe as republicans and democrats, didn't know anything about the internal operations of the firm either. we plan to return all the contributions. cherise: the campaign of senator kelly ayotte reacted to the globe this morning, saying it raises serious ethical and legal questions. our crew is working to get the set built at saint anselm college for our granite state debates. those kick off on tuesday. first up are the candidates for governor, followed by the u.s. senate and congressional races. you can watch each debate right

as well as our website, mobile app, and facebook page. a driver is facing several charges for allegedly driving while intoxicated and speeding on i-93. state police say they clocked 19-year-old tryan dicicco going 108 miles per hour on i-93 in campton. he was arrested for dwi, reckless driving, transporting drugs, and transporting alcohol by a minor. tonight, the toll booths on the mass pike are coming down. and drivers will likfa very slow commute tomorrow morning. with the new open tolling system now in effect, there's big changes to how you pay toll fees. station in boston wcvb explains. reporter: as demolition work begins today to remove the toll booths on the mass pike transportation officials are warning drivers to brace

schedule, this would be a good week to do that. if you can go in late or really early, this would be a good way to do that. reporter: stressing drivers should not stop at the tollbooths, to observe the 15 miles per hour speed limit and stay in their lanes. >> some of what had been the road that was available to people to drive on is now a work zone. reporter: troopers say there will be an increased police presence of the mice past -- on the , additional tow trucks in case cars breakdown or there are accidents. since the new all electronic tolling system went into effect on friday night officials say there has been less than 1.5 million transactions as of 8:00 sunday morning, and 76% are reading ez pass transponders. >> 24% were paid by plate, although some may turn out to be transponders as we assess them. reporter: asking drivers to be patient for the next three weeks. >> we cautioned people that tomorrow is going to be a heck

-- and sunday. reporter: the toll booth demolition will be completed by november 22. diane cho, wmur news 9. cherise: now, the amount of money you pay on the mass pike depends on how you pay it. to drive from 495 to 84 in massachusetts you'll pay 95 cents with a massachusetts e.z. pass. using an e.z. pass from another state, you will pay $1.10. and the pay-by-plate option is the highest at $1.70. many kids in new hampshire were already out tric t parades and trick or treating on halloween tomorrow. local police departments are asking everyone to stay vigilant while also having fun. whether it was the stay puft marshmallow man from ghostbusters, or batgirl, kids were ready to fill their buckets and bags with candy. >> i like going house to house and getting the candy. cherise: sunday night parents and their kids dealt with the rain and chilly weather as they trick or treated in rye. a perfect opportunity for local

door to door to keep safety at the forefront while they're having fun. officer geoffrey miller: lot of roads in town don't have sidewalks, so there isn't a large shoulder for the pedestrians to walk. so we are concerned about that, but if everyone takes their time and thinks and looks both ways before crossing the street, i think everyone will have a good time. cherise: in portsmouth, where kids were also trick or treating sunday night, police posted this list of ways to stay safe. like wearing costumes with visible colors or stick reflective tape on your costume, carra sidewalk and respect other people's property and before your kid dives into their candy collection, make sure you check their pile of sweets for anything out of the ordinary. officer geoffrey miller: i like candy too. wait till you get home, take a look at it, have your parents look at it. make sure nothing looks suspicious, altered, anything like that. the biggest thing, we want everyone to have a good time tonight and be safe. cherise: and as more towns prepare to celebrate halloween tomorrow, parents will be keeping a close eye on their ghosts, goblins and princesses

cherise: tonight, almost 8,000 people are staying in emergency housing in italy because of an earthquake. this morning, a 6.6 magnitude quake hit central italy. the earthquake destroyed a benedictine cathedral, a medieval tower and other landmarks in small towns. amazingly, nobody was seriously hurt or killed in this quake. this is the third powerful earthquake to hit italy in two months. happening now, authorities are pipeline protests in north dakota. hundreds of people are gathered near the standing rock sioux tribe's reservation to protest an oil pipeline. a large fire broke out early this morning burning about 400 acres. because of the terrain, national guard helicopters were called in to help put out the fire. >> i woke up. i think i heard screaming. i jumped up. i had just fallen asleep for

going to wrap up in the clouds eventually clearing out. it is going to be much brighter as we push forward after such a dreary stretch of weather. tomorrow will be the first day of many this week where we will have sunshine and dry conditions. in the meantime we have mostly cloudy skies. rain showers off the coast into the south. all that is left is maybe a couple of little areas of drizzle in the southeastern art of the state. off towards the west into the north we have clearing skies. individually the class to get eaten away. that will happen, especially by early tomorrow morning. it will get brighter throughout the day tomorrow. temperatures are cool, certainly in the northern part of the state. we have 43 in keene and jeffrey at about 45. here are things are going to go. by tomorrow morning most of us waking up the sunshine.

still some clouds lingering, especially up north. slowly those clouds will break apart and you see by about 2:00, 3:00 in the afternoon it is bright and sunny. here is the difference tomorrow. it will be cooler and the winds will be a bit breezy so it will feel cooler despite the sunshine. for trick-or-treating time it will be clear. no threat for any wet weather. be prepared for the chilly feel. as soon as the sun sets tomorrow night thmp many of us will be falling into the 30's. it will get cold real quick for the ghosts and goblins walking right getting candy. tuesday begins with frost and sunshine. late in the day clouds will start to increase. tonight showers, those are pretty much done. chilly temperatures, especially as we get past midnight. tomorrow the temperatures will be coolest up to the north and

littleton, berlin. 50th concord, manchester in down the salem. a lot cooler than the temperatures we had today. for trick-or-treating time and the ghostly forecast take a look at the temperatures. a few of us in the 40's but especially once we get later into the night the temperatures really go down to the 30's. 30's for most of the trick-or-treating time with the clear skies all evening long. after halloween will have temperatures in the 50's and we will have clouds on the increase. wednesday a mix of sun and clouds of armor. highs in the lower 60's. 60's for highs again on thursday with showers, especially in the afternoon and evening. then we are back to sunshine friday and saturday the temperatures taking a dip. remember to flip the clocks back on saturday night into sunday. hard to believe it is that time already.
