you make your way from the upper split in hooksett to the lower split in manchester. things are moving well through the bedford tolls making your way into nashua. this report is being brought to you by -- i am deb davidson. sean: students and parents in several local towns are being warned this morning that their school bus drivers could go on strike later this month. erin: this involves drivers for the company first student serving the timberlane and ray brewer is live outside the union offices in manchester to explain all the issues going on. ray: good morning. we need to stress that nothing has been decided yet but school officials say if this strike does happen it would affect roughly 4500 students in five towns. at the center of the dispute is a pension plan. that is the center of the labor dispute with the teamsters local union number 633. the superintendent for

saying there were contract issues and that services could be affected. parents were quickly notified. the school says if the strike does happen, it likely will not start for at least three weeks. but they are already working on backup plans and some parents are working to organize a carpool system. >> we are not quite sure what that will all mean but currently we are looking at traffic routes and that sort of thing, how we would get that many many students into our schools. we will get through this one way or another but it will be because we have great families and great kids. ray: first student does provide bus services with several other school districts in the state but right now this potential , strike would only affect timberlane and hampstead. school officials say if there is a strike it could happen on very short notice. reporting live in manchester ray

from the elections and new , hampshire is getting a lot of attention from the campaigns. republican nominee donald trump is holding a rally at noon today in atkinson. and chelsea clinton is holding 'get out the vote' events for her mother at keene state college and dartmouth college. on sunday democratic nominee hillary clinton will be in new hampshire though details of her , manchester visit have not been released. ivanka trump will also be here and on monday the day before the elections president obama will hold a rally at unh for clinton while donald trump will rally supporters at the snhu arena in manchester. and it is not just new hampshire seeing a flurry of activity. abc's lana zak is following the final push across the country. lana: with the finish-line in sight, melania trump took to the podium in her first solo campaign stop. >> he certainly knows how to shake things up, doesn't he? lana: appealing to suburban

unit in manchester. officials say 68-year-old william roy of claremont didn't return wednesday afternoon after leaving for a private appointment. police say he walks with a cane. sean: a former manchester bar owner has been ordered to pay nearly $92,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to theft, tax fraud and perjury. investigators say 49-year-old timothy gage failed to submit meal and rental payments for tj's sports bar and grill to the department of revenue over the course of three years. that bar is now under new ownership and a new name. prosecutors say gage also lied during a labor law hearing in order to reduce a civil penalty. if he stays out of trouble he will not spend any time behind bars. erin: a frightening scene in south burlington, vermont where police arrested a woman for shoplifting not realizing her two young children were in the car. officers arrested 34-year-old shanna jacobs yesterday at kohl's but say she never

in jeopardy according to the teamsters local union number 633. >> unless friday we receive a letter from the teamsters that represent the bus drivers and it basically indicated that they were having some contractual issues. they indicated they may withhold services from the district. for me it was a do not mess with our kids moment. ray: the school district informed parents right away about the situation invoin a precaution. we are told the labor dispute is over a pension plan. >> the higher a vendor. we have a contract with them. they are employees, unionized mid-contract. that has complicated some of the work but that is something they need to figure out. ray: superintendent of schools dr. earl metzler says the strike would not happen for at least three weeks, but they are putting together a plan b if something should occur.

car, but it sped off. denbow eventually stopped and took off on foot but he was quickly captured. police say he also had a warrant out for his arrest out of allenstown for burglary. sean: also new this morning, the national home security company protect america has compiled a list of what is says are the top burglary safe zones and burglary hot spots in new hampshire. charlestown topped the list as the safest town when it comes to home atkinson, grant them greenland , and durham. the top burglary-prone areas are five carroll waterville valley i think him, ever held, and freedom. a seabrook police officer suffered minor injuries when his cruiser collided with a public works pickup truck. the accident happened shortly before eight yesterday morning on route 286. state police say a lebanon public works truck was trying to make a left turn when the cruiser hit it, causing both vehicles to go off the road. erin: tonight, a rochester
