threatening a manchester couple also faces drug charges tonight. welcome back, i'm jennifer vaughn. tom: i'm tom griffith. police say a night with friends turned frightening when marc joseph pulled out a gun. jennifer: even though officers took that gun, they couldn't arrest joseph until several days later. wmur's ray brewer explains why. >> that arrest didn't come until a couple of days after the original incident inside the apartment building at 385 union street in manchester. and police say when they took joseph into custody, he had different types of drugs on him. three marc joseph faces several felony charges for the incident that began tuesday night. police say a woman visiting friends at the apartment house told them she was looking for more beer. when she asked residents in joseph's apartment, that's when he allegedly held a gun to her throat. police say that joseph also threatened the woman's husband. >> quote i will do you, meaning i will shoot you. >> police responded and confiscated a 40 caliber handgun

was not arrested as police say they needed to interview more people. subsequently an arrest warrant was applied for and two days later joseph was arrested. later joseph was arrested. that arrest resulted in more , charges. >> during that time it was found that he was also in possession of marijuana, crack cocaine and oxycodone pills. >> police say they are still looking into whether or not joseph should have been able to possess that handgun. as for joseph, his bail was set at he is due back in court on $10,000. the 17th. jennifer: one of the companies that makes narcan is recalling some of the overdose antidote. teleflex says because of a problem with the narcan delivery devices it made this year, the drug may not be fully effective. the state says the kits it bought and gave out to community health organizations are not affected by the recall. but amr tells us it had to return two dozen kits. anyone who obtained narcan through a pharmacy should see if it's affected by the recall.

arrested for shoplifting while police say her two small children were waiting in the car. officers arrested 34-year-old shanna jacobs thursday at a kohl's in south burlington -- burlington but say she never , mentioned that her two-year-old and four-year-old sons were in her unlocked vehicle. jacobs is charged with retail theft and cruelty to a child. her chen been notified. tom: an ohio man who took the law into his own hands and beat a heroin dealer nearly to death is sentenced to probation. last december, edwin sobony reportedly beat the man with a baseball bat after authorities said he continued to share heroin with sobony's wife. he was convicted of felonious assault and the judge gave him two years' probation. while some say the punishment isn't enough the judge says he , believes he made the correct decision.
