on what happened there. also, a driver going the wrong way on i-4 causing this deadly crash early this morning. killing him lf and a taxi driver. we'll have more on what troopers say they found inside of the wrong-way driver's car. >> john: it is the super bowl of election, in florida today. we head out live to the polls, where a few little glitches are already popping up. plus, luanne has a special guest in studio b. good morning. >> luanne: i do, i think hanging out with the twins this morning, this is devon and lexi fuller, they are actually professional artists and look, guys, your faces, your beautiful faces in chalk this morning! they will be completing the beautiful masterpiece throughout the morning here on "good day orlando." we're going to talk to the twins and find out exactly what got them into doing this style of art. plus, david martin, good morning! >> reporter: luanne, good morning to you. i've got your plans for this weekend.
8:01 am
out the largest production from the orlando ballet, for the entire year. they are calling it done quixote and we'll show you on the 8 o'clock hour of... >> "good day orlando"! >> john: that will be fun. >> amy: i look like i had a little work done! my hair -- >> get blonder! >> pulling tight. trying to tell you something? >> john: here's how we want you to, look, not how you look. >> amy: beautiful! >> free cone day at dairy queen. >> amy: you know, there are not a lot of dairy queens anymore. >> john: you have to find one. >> i'll be back in a few minutes and it is also the ides of march. >> amy: beware! >> outside this morning, we're looking at this sunrise and want to show you a different picture, because if we look at i-drive camera, this is what we have, a
8:02 am
this free cone day. dairy queen close by. there is one in sanford, i'm heading there right now! west winds at 5, give us another hour and the thin layer of clouds is going to be gone. it is going to be an amazing sunny day. temperatures out the door this morning, upper 60s, low 70s, it is very warm and humid, and has a little summertime feel to it. as you head out the door this morning, different than summer, we're not expecting any storms this afternoon. as a matter of fact, look at satellite, a little thin layer of clouds, starts to mix into the atmosphere, tons of sun. on tap, for today. call it a beach day, free ice cream at dairy queen! high temperatures in the upper 80s, and wouldn't surprise me if some folks hit 90 and will feel like the 90s if you are in the sunshine today and no sea breeze forecast today. brevard county, look at those
8:03 am
>> i want to take you to ocoee, following a crash involving a patrol car, shutting down the intersection on colonial drive and good holmes road. cars are not moving. i do have an alternate route for you, you can take colonial, to -- using clark road, make a right on silver star and take that to north apopka-vine land road to get around the mess. drive times, i-4 eastbound, from john young parkway to downtown, that will take you 7 minutes, and westbound from the 434 to fairbanks, 11 minutes and, using the 408, this morning, rouse road to downtown, just 14 minutes, john and amy, back to you. >> thanks, we are following breaking news right now out of orange county. >> john: a police officer crashed into a suspect's car in winter garden. holly bristow joins us live on the phone with the latest. what is the story out there? >> well, right now, there are four cars that have been all banged up. there is a bmw apparently that investigators tell me was
8:04 am
invasion in ocoee, and, winter garden police saw the suspect's car, got behind it, and at some point in time, the suspect went slammed into a car, we're told the driver of that car is critically injured, and when police tried to go through a red light a cruiser crashed into another suv. i'm told the officer and the person involved in the second crash are okay. but the person involved in the first crash, i'm told is in critical condition. in surgery at the hospital right now. i'm told there were four suspects in this suv. and according to investigators, all four are on the run right now and investigators did find a weapon in the car. they haven't really gone through it much but apparently one was pretty visible, through all four
8:05 am
seemingly from the suspect. this is still under investigation and we're working to get more information on the home invasion that sparked this. when we get more we'll pass it along. reporting live in winter garden, fox 35 news. >> john: another story we're following this morning, a deadly wrong way crash on i-4. >> amy: troopers say the driver was headed eastbound in the westbound lanes. it happened near sand lake road. when he crash head on into a taxi cab. both the wrong way driver and the cab driver were killed and it happened at 3:30 a.m. also shut down part of the interstate for hours. investigators are still on the scene. they did find crucial evidence inside of the wrong way driver's car. >> we found a bottle of hennessy and the wrong way -- in the wrong way driver's right front seat and there was a smell of alcoholic beverages coming from the vehicle. we'll wait for toxicology but that is the number one reason people drive the wrong way. >> amy: it's not clear where the
8:06 am
interstate but we'll stay on top of the story and bring you the latest details on air and on-line. you know it is primary day, or super-duper tuesday, and, at nd voters are at the polls across the state. >> john: we'll have a better idea at the end of the day what the presidential race will look like in november. they are heading to the polls in ohio, illinois, missouri and north carolina and for the republicans, 358 delegates at stake and the democrats, it is 691. several presidential hopefuls will be spending the day campaigning here in the sunshine state. marco rubio is holding a campaign event in miami. donald trump will be in palm beach and hillary clinton will also be in palm beach today. let's head to gina benitez where they expect a lot of voters today. good morning, gina. >> gina: aim at the presbyterian church in winter park, expected to be one of the busier polling places. there were quite a few people
8:07 am
we have people behind me holding up signs here for their candidates. i did talk to one woman who says that she tried to vote but there was only one polling booth open. the computer was glitching up. and we are working to get that confirmed, talking to the elections supervisor a little later on this morning. but the good news is, though they are expecting a lot of people at the particular location, the lines aren't expected to be too long, because a lot of people already voted early. now, let's look at some numbers now. the orange county supervisor of elections predicts 41% total voter turnout, about the same as in 2008, over in seminole county, the elections supervisor there is predicting 45% voter turnout. for the primary. he says the big story though is the republicans had a 25% voter turnout for early voting which is a dramatic jump compared to 2008.
8:08 am
they got several campaigns in central florida. bill clinton was the latest who made a pitch for his wife at rollins college in winter park. and he said his wife doesn't consider herself part of the washington establishment. and here's what else he had to say. >> she said, you know, she says, i don't really think i'm a natural politician. did you say that? the president and my husband, they love this stuff. she said, i am, however, pretty good at doing the job. and what we need is someone who can do the job. >> of course, we will be out here all morning long, as voters continue to pack the church here, to cast their ballots and bring you the latest. now reporting live in winter park, gina benitez, fox 35 news. >> amy: thank you, right now, it seems to be the front-runners' elections to lose, and we are joined in the studio with how
8:09 am
with the sunshine state. >> ryan: it looks like the real job could be in ohio for republicans and democrats. the florida polls, if they prove true it will be donald trump and hillary clinton celebrating. the latest quinnipiac poll, clinton ahead of bernie sanders, 60.34%, heading into today's voting and the last five polls on the republican side, donald trump with double-digit leads and the closest showing him with a 17 point lead and could argue maybe marco rubio is surging a bit at the end. we'll see. ted cruz in third with 17% of the poll and the winner will take home 99 delegates on the republican side and the democrat side, 214 on the line and those will be split up and john kasich holds a close lead in ohio and clinton's lead single digits. as we said, the real drama could be in the buckeye state tonight. we'll have to see. >> john: political analyst carl jackson joins me now to talk about it. good to see you again.
8:10 am
what the story line will be tomorrow. and i'm seeing all over social media right now that, you know, bernie sanders is getting a lot of attention. let's start with you on that. do you expect to see another michigan surprise like what we saw last week? >> you know, i don't think we'll see it in florida or north carolina. i think hillary clinton has done a tremendous job, again relying on african-american voters and diversity. within both states. certainly women voters. we have talked about the fact that, you know, they did an ad for her during an abc televised show last week, if you watched scandal or how to get away with murder you would have seen that. we have seen morgan freeman now pushing ads for her within the community as well. on radio and on tv. i think if bernie sanders has a shot it is illinois, or missouri, but it is a super delegate race at this point. hillary clinton actually has right now more super delegates than barack obama had in the
8:11 am
so i think it is you a matter of time before bernie sanders realizes he can't catch up. >> john: i'm sure you talked about it on your radio show. the brokered convention issue, because, if donald trump doesn't win or ohio you could go into the convention not knowing who the nominee will be. if that happens, what do you expect to happen? it could be a mess for the republicans. >> i don't think it will happen. at least not at this point. i hope it doesn't. it would be disastrous, you're right. i do see a revolt happening, if the nomination is taken away from trump it would be taken away from cruz, the only candidate right now that could conceivably catch up to donald trump in the delegate count, even if marco rubio were to win florida, and john kasich were to win ohio. it would be df stating for the republican -- devastating for the republican party and frankly the party would be in a down spin and would probably lose 30 to 40% of the voters at the ballot box in november.
8:12 am
our show and every other news station around florida, you are seeing a ton of ads, a lot for bernie sanders. and also a lot against trump. do you read anything into that? is it like bernie sanders saying this is my last chance, i'll go full bore and spend everything i can because there may not be a tomorrow. >> absolutely. on both sides of the fence, democrat and republican, today is sort of the firewall. right? this is the point in time which, if you are going to try to stymie the progress of a donald trump, it has to be today and has to be in ohio. has to be close in florida. and you have to make it work for it in missouri and illinois and the same is true for bernie sanders, if if he pulls an upset in illinois, not completely different from the demographics of michigan, at least it keeps him in the race and continues to allow him to drive his message and potentially push hillary clinton to coming towards the left a bit. with regard to a general campaign. so, a very important day and that is why you see all the ads.
8:13 am
you have a lot more to say. what is your radio show. >> go to facebook, carl jack on radio and catch me there. >> john: good to see you and we'll talk on orlando matters as well, this weekend. >> thank you. >> john: the orlando ballet getting ready for the largest production of the year. we're talking don qiuxote. >> live from the rehearsal center, i'm here to tell you you've got to check out the performance of don quixote. one of the most professional ballets in the country and we'll

negative about another candidate in that post, they are passionate, it is positive, and we are finding a lot of positivity. they are venting but are putting positive statements in the vents. >> ryan: social media changed the game. it is drastically different than five years ago. give us your web site. >> creative web concepts usa.com or facebook, shelley costello, i'm there. >> ryan: great stuff, fascinating to see inn this time of the year. >> thanks for having me. >> amy: coming up, dna test results are now in from the knife found on o.j. simpson's property. >> john: what investigators found. >> amy: also this morning, on this day in history, march 15, 1977, 8 is enough aired for the first time on television, the show starring dick van patten featured a number of young actors, which of the following actors played his son, david for several episodes before moving
