>> brian: hi, everybody. what a beautiful, beautiful afternoon it is in downtown cleveland as we get set for the indians with a three games to two advantage on the chicago cubs and believe it or not, cleveland, tonight we can win another championship, a world series championship, to go with the cavaliers' nba championship. incredible stuff. >> laura: oh, yeah and we will do it right here in cleveland in front of all the fans unlike we have gotten to do for anything else during the series so far. amazing stuff going to happen right here. we are feeling good about it. you are calling it closeout tuesday.
12:01 pm
now. >> brian: i believe it's going to happen. one of the reasons is because of the guy who will take the baseball tonight. josh tomlin will take the ball tonight. he's been absolutely fantastic in the post season for the indians up until this part. listen to this stat. this year, tomlin has started 16 times after the indians have lost. their record in those 16 starts, 11-5. that includes game three against the cubs. he will go arietta who shut down the tribe. tomlin said he is ready for this opportunity to try and close this series out tonight. >> it means a lot to not just to 25 guys in the locker room but the organization as a whole. a lot of guys have been here a long time and never experienced anything like this. for us to experience this as an organization is special to us and something we are humbled to be able to do. so, you know, we understand it's not just about getting here,
12:02 pm
well. >> brian: yeah, tomlin has been great. the gates open at the ball park at 6:00 a.m. we have just learned that former indian dennis martinez who had such a great run for the tribe in 1995 will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and hunter hayes will be singing the national anthem tonight. that ceremonial first pitch will be at 7:59. game six first pitch 8:08. >> laura: and cavs also playing. the cavs owner dan gilbert says he fought hard to move up this game time moving it to 6:00 p.m. tonight so you would not have to choose between the cavs game and iians world series because how can you choose. right? the cavs game should be over by the second inning. in fact, if you are going to the cavs game, you will be able to watch the world series game six on the humongotron after the cavs game is over.
12:03 pm
about the weather. right now it doesn't seem like anybody would have to worry about the weather. but sam roberts is here to tell us what we will be seeing on what looks like a beautiful november day. who would think we would be saying that? november, baseball, and it's gorgeous outside? >> samantha: i know, it's beautiful. there must be a breeze because you have light jackets. let's take a look at what's going on outside. we are at 69 in cleveland. it's beautiful. this is doppler max trained right on gateway plaza progressive field on the right-hand side of your television screen. we are picking up a clean scan as we scan the skies over downtown cleveland. no rain. it's just perfect. your game six world series forecast looks like this. 8:00 first pitch, just a few clouds. a southwest wind at about 10 miles an hour sustained. so that is a light breeze and you know if you are sitting up high, of course that breeze will be just a little bit more amplified.
12:04 pm
68 by 9:00 dropping to 67 by 10:00. the whole game we get through dry, problem free. i don't expect any weather-related issues for this one. but, if and only if there is a game seven, there may be a little rain around for that one. if. you know. we hope not. we will talk about it co comingp at 12:19. i'll see you then. >> laura: all right. thanks, sam. well there are also several parking restrictions around gateway complex because of both these games going on. now these restrictions are actually already in effect. they started at noon. parts of east 9th, huron and prospect will be off limits and the gateway east garage is open only to cavaliers and indians parking pass holders. >> brian: well, what a year it has been. and 83-year-old betty sullivan says she never thought she would live to see a year like this for cleveland sports teams. she's been a fan since she was a little girl for as long as she
12:05 pm
her support of the cleveland teams. look at her yard outside of her home here in brooklyn. completely spray painted to show her love for the tribe. her grandson did it for her. did he his own lawn in parma, as well. so, the whole family is getting involved here. betty even has a vest she wears for the game. now she believes, maybe she's a little superstitious, that it's lucky. she didn't have it on for sunday's game. maybe that's why they lost. at least that's what she but she will definitely be wearing it tonight. 2016 she says has been a year she will never forget. >> wonderful. wonderful. i am glad at my age that i can enjoy this. i can't wait. i wish it was tonight already. you know? you get excited. >> brian: how about that story. isn't that cute? >> laura: great story. >> brian: great great fan. that's why tonight i think is going to be so special for so many people. >> laura: and she's got to wear
12:06 pm
time she didn't wear it. that's got to be the only reason. right? all right. well check out this display. she's not the only one who is all in. they are going ape over the tribe in lakewood. it's an eight-foot gorilla dressed as a cleveland indians with a sign that says indians world series on it. >> brian: that's awesome. we will bring you continuing coverage of the indians' quest for the world series on air on our app and online at cleveland19.com. >> laura: now we do have some breaking news to tell you office now confirming the body found near a burned-out house in madison township is the body of candice cunningham. a stark county native missing since late april or early may. her remains were identified through dna testing. she is believed to be the third of five victims murdered by accused serial killer shawn grate. we'll have much more on this breaking story come can go up this afternoon. also, cleveland police are

>> brian: welcome back, everybody. closeout tuesday for your tribe. >> laura: how good does it feel. all right, brian, i have a question for you. what do the monsters, the cavaliers and the '97 indians all have in common? >> brian: i don't know. >> laura: i'll give you a big old hint. right here. the number 19. could 19 be the lucky number for the c.l.e.? tia ewing has the story. ? tonight i'm going to party like it's 1999 ? >> tia: this may make you jump
12:16 pm
that we want to focus on. >> after 52 years of waiting, welcome home to cleveland. >> turns out cleveland sports winners have the number in common. the monsters became calledder cup champions with just 1.9 seconds remaining in o.t. 1.9, take away the decimal point and that's the number 19. then, this happened. >> final seconds, it's over. it's over. once again! >> tia: the cavs championship win will forever go down in the history books on june 19. ? >> tia: euclid native and current u.f.c. heavy weight champion miochek was been on august 19. bernie kosar known for plays as a q.b. for the cleveland browns wore number 19. then, there's baseball hall of famer bob feller who played

12:18 pm
last time the indians won a championship. you got the 19 in front of that, too. 19 and 48. >> brian: perfect. all right. so we all know how superstitious baseball fans are, of course, and they really are. so are baseball players. so we decided to take to the streets of cleveland and find out what the superstitions were of the fans as they root this indians team on to a world series title. >> mustache. i haven't shaved my mustache. >> brian: this is a playoff st yeah, i can't get rid of it. >> brian: whatever works. mike fagan pulled the idea from the ice. >> i'm a hockey guy. so, i'm a big supporter of like the playoff beard. >> brian: it's working so don't shave, man. at least another couple days. >> i have to now, yeah. >> brian: superstitions have always been a big part of baseball. major league played on that. >> i cannot hit curve ball. straight ball i hit it very

that. >> joe boo or joe buck. take your pick. >> for the world series, i bad mouth joe buck. >> brian: a lot of people are doing that. make sure you are locked down and loaded up for whatever superstition you believe does it for the tribe. we cannot take any chances. >> i was down at the jake on saturday. >> brian: so that's the key. you can't be home when the >> i cannot be home apparently. got to come downtown, have a good time. >> samantha: all right. well, if you have been doing something during those games where they won, keep doing it tonight. because we need all the good vibes that we can get. it's beautiful outside. the weather is definitely on our side. time now 19 after 12:00 and it is just -- it it's incredible outside. so, first day of november and we are way above average.
