the polls, security. >> denise: yes, specifically making sure you and your ballot are safe and security. shelby miller spent the day getting answers on how that is going to happen. >> reporter: yeah, denise and ramona security has been at the forefront ahead of election day. board of election officials tell me they have had a lot of people calling and asking how they will stay safe and secure. officials tell me they have been planning for they are prepared. it is the eve of election day and polling locations are getting ready. it includes worker theses kaya -- workers at the cuyahoga county board of elections. >> the polling locations and managers are aware there may be some tensions and so they know what x as to take and who to call. >> reporter: security tomorrow will be tight. the director paul mcdonald says he has been working with the sheriff's department, homeland security and the fbi.

special response team they used during the rnc. >> the county impact team is basically a unit that has put together to be deployed out to the field and in this case the county to handle any unusual circumstance or any crowds or any problems that we might have. >> cuyahoga county predicts 357,000 people will vote tomorrow. throughout the day they will work with observers who were trained to watch election proceedings and report any issues. >> the level of our depends on the offense. a little problem? our folks take care of it. big problem way can call -- we can call the sheriff. >> there are multiple officers at every pre sink. there are 6,000 election day workers workers and all will work together to make sure people stay safe. >> we want everybody to know that tomorrow voting will be very safe and secure and they've got nothing to worry about.

effort if you see something please speak up and say something tomorrow. if you plan to vote by mail and you missed the deadline to get the ballot in, no worries. you can come to the board of elections. they have a drop off box in the back lot and as long as you are here by 7:30 tomorrow evening. getting answers live in cleveland, shelby miller, cleveland 19 news. >> and the justice department is also stepping in to make sure we are all safe at the polls tomorrow. cuyahoga county is one of country that will have polling monitors to make sure every voter can participate in the election. and we just got a look at the early voting numbers across the state of ohio. 1.8million people voted early in person. that's up by 11,000 compared to 2012. the last time there was a presidential election. here in cuyahoga county early voting was down from four years ago.

>> we are expecting 67% of registered voters to come out and vote. dan deroos is here with the answer center. >> dan: it is a see something, say something. if you see something it looks dangerous and you need to call police right away. if you a with your vote or somebody is telling you, you can't vote or you are feeling harassed in a polling location, this is a national non-partisan phone number that you can call and get answers right away. 866-our vote. we are trying to protect our vote. that's a very important number for you to remember tomorrow. again, that's going to cover everything. if you have a question and you show up and they say you can't vote, you can call that number and they can hopefully get you you some answers.

>> denise: and now let's go to christa gnaw kaw. he is tracking several stories. >> chris: police are trying to find a person who committed a horrific crime on a small dog. he was found shot and skeaned in -- skinned in an alley behind the tj maxx. investigators have little to go on. if you know something, call parma police right away. five people including three children were hurt after a truck slammed into an apartment building a few hours ago in oxnard, california. a two and 8-year-old were pinned underneath the truck. a 16-year-old girl struck by the truck before it hit the building and police haven't said what caused it. and police were arrested at the airport. investigators say he was about to get on a plane bound for libya to join isis.

terrorist organization. denise? >> denise: a kent state football player has been suspended indefinitely after police arrested him for kidnapping. sara goldenburg is getting answers on the latest in the investigation. >> reporter: students we spoke with are shocked that the star football player was arrested in the middle of the season. and they have a lot of questions. right now police are not saying much. number 18 on the football field kent state safety nate holly boasts 401 career the senior from toledo it was a two-team all mac first selection the last two seasons. and now his season is on hold for kidnapping. >> that's crazy. you never think it will happen on your campus. >> reporter: according to the court records, the sheriff's office arrested holly for kidnapping a victim from this apartment complex. this is a few miles off campus from franklin township.

happened here. >> it is shocking. i was in class all day and i didn't know any of this was happening. >> reporter: many students we spoke with hadn't heard of holly's arrest. some heard of nick who is the team's quarterback. kent state university released this statement saying we are aware of the situation and we take this matter very seriously. he has been suspended from the team indefinitely. a college football player's every move scrutinized. this time off of the field. >> this whole career -- a football player, but it well stick with you your life. >> reporter: nate holly's family posted $5,000 bail and a judge ordered him to wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim. sara goldenburg, cleveland 19 news. >> denise: and holly will be back in a portage county courtroom on thursday for a hearing. we'll be there and report back to you on what what happens. >> romona: good news for

this legal? cleveland 19 news checked with our lawyers first to make sure we were in the clear. you could be hit with a trespassing or calf vegging depending on the city you are in. and even if you are on public property you still have to be careful. this police report is from last year. they spotted a man going through the dumpsters at you will tau by -- ulta beauty at 9:40 and he was handed a warning. we ebbing eg very -- we checked various cosmetic stores and found dumpster diving in cuyahoga county. it is not just the police you should be on the lookout of for. there are hidden dangers when you are in the can and sometimes waist deep. >> you are coming in contact with germs. you have to be careful not to stick yourself. there are diabetic patients and they tend to throw their, what do you call them, the
