we talk about a special session on booze and pensions, why can't we do a special session on equality. >> we support the legislation, we believe it's important, help us to protect all the members of our community. >> overnight three suspects all from buck county were arraigned and released on bail. among then katherine knott the daughter of the police chief, earlier today she was fired as an emergency room for her alleged attack on gays but for posting photos and making mean spirits comments on her twitter accounts. now they are looking to close loopholes in the philadelphia law that does not allow for prosecution of hate crimes against gays and lesbians.

into widespread cheating in the philadelphia district. a man accused of killing a baby and her grandmother is maintaining his innocence. he is acting as his own lawyer as the trial got underway today. >> an emotional and heart breaking day at this trial, the parents of baby saanvi, talked about the last day they saw her alive and were cross examined by the accused killer. >> it's difficult, being questioned by the person that murdered her daughter and granddaughter. >> he is accused of killing their mother and their daughter son saanvi, he lost his mother and daughter that day, and recalls the horror of finding his dead mother on the floor and

then baby saanvi, the killer left behind a ransom note of $50,000, four days later he led police to where he allegedly hid the body in a suitcase in a nearby apartment building and they video taped a confession where he admits to killing the grant mother and wrapping the baby in a towel and locking her in a suitcase. both parents refused to look at him as he cross examined them. and then he ended his testimony saying no one should experience this, it shouldn't happen to anyone. his wife at one point cried out god bless my baby before collapsing in tears. it's been emotionally draining for them and the prosecution team. >> it's a difficult case, a case we are glad to be finally getting to a jury in the matter. >> testimony continues tomorrow. if the jury finds him guilty

they will then have to decide whether or not to impose the death penalty. philadelphia police say they found the man that shot a father of four leaving him paralyzed on the 1500 block of haverford avenue, he shot him after unknowingly brushing up against him in a grocery store. he faces several charges including attempt to commit criminal homicide. the man that shot two state troopers, erick frein, continues to elude authorities but a trail is left in the poconos mountains is an indication that they are closing in. it has been a little more than a month before south philadelphia's mo'ne davis earned a spot in little league history, the first female pitcher to win a game at the little league world series and today she celebrated that at the cooperstown baseball hall-of-fame sara bloomquist is here now. >> her legacy will live on at the baseball hall-of-fame in new york. >> she arrived with teammates with her team and the anderson monarchs, her travel team since she was 7. the 13-year-old from south philadelphia pitched her way into the history books this summer to be the first female player to win a game at the little league world series, today she made sure that history is preserved forever. by donating her game jersey to

summer-like and 82 on saturday and 83 on sunday, make those outdoor plans now. we are pretty far from the 80s though, 59 in the poconos and 63 right now in millville and 65 on the boardwalk, so the numbers this afternoon 11 degrees below normal and as we get into the weekend, temperatures are above normal. lingering clouds to the south and west. tomorrow as the low continues to drift away and high pressure comes in from the west and that rips the clouds apart first thing in the morning and the western suburbs, throughout the morning hours 77 degrees and this high dominates, a lack of clouds around the great lakes into new england and the mid-atlantic at that spectacular 82. and perfect timing for nascar at the monster mile in dover, 76 degrees for the qualifying.
