through the state of delaware, maybe cape may county you have a chance of seeing early sunshine. fog mainly up in the northern and western suburbs. we're not seeing a whole lot just yet. it's something that could gradually develop over the next hour or so. 66 degrees in philadelphia, same that allentown, milder out in reading and same thing out in lancaster, 68 degrees in reading right now, 63 trenton, 65 in wilmington and 67-degree readings down along our boardwalks in south jersey as you head outside to catch that school bus this morning, well, looks like 65 by 6 o'clock, 66 by 8 o'clock. could be a little fog around. be careful of that if you're driving especially with kids walking to their buses. grab had that smartphone. storm tracker 6 app showing 66 degrees. 76 by plan to. 3 o'clock we get a temperature of 78. that's going to be your high did today and then 75 degrees by 6 o'clock. tomorrow it gets warm and more

humid. karen it will feel like summer and we'll be on the lookout for summer-like gusty thunderstorms in the afternoon. i'll have more on future tracker 6 on that. >> all right, days, let's hit the traffic. looking live at the ben franklin bridge we have construction blocking two lanes westbound at this point but we expect one more to open before the morning commute really kicks in. moving okay so far on the ben and you can see no real issue with fog here. things are looking pretty good. on the big picture we have construction on the boulevard northbound and southbound so southbound, we've got it blocking the inner drive and northbound near ryan construction blocks the left lane so watch for crews out there at this point. looking back live on 422, at trooper that's your eastbound traffic as you head towards king of prussia. light volume. the overnight construction here is clear. coming in from pottstown or limerick you're looking good so far this morning on 422. we'll take one more look, a little fly here in burlington county of the new jersey turnpike southbound starting near exit four. remember, we had a lot of the turnpike, nearly 35 miles shut

down yesterday. for now we're looking good with all lanes opened so no problems there, tam. >> okay, thank you karen. details on two separate shootings in philadelphia and one of them is now a homicide investigation. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live for us now outside of police headquarters. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam. three people shot in two separate incidents, one victim has died. detectives here at homicide and elsewhere across the city are interviewing witnesses and trying to determine the motive in these cases. three people shot in two separate shootings in a matter of hours in philadelphia last night. just before 9 o'clock, police were called out to castor's finest barber shop on the 7100 block of castor avenue in northeast philadelphia. the 33-year-old owner was on the floor behind the counter shot four times. the store had already closed up for the night when the shots were fired. he was taken to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.

he told police there were two men wearing hoodies involved. investigators have located nearby surveillance cameras. >> hopefully these cameras recorded our shooters either coming to or leaving from the scene. >> reporter: then just after 11:30 in north philadelphia, at least 32 shots were fired from two separate weapons. shell casings were scattered across the 2100 block of uber street. a 24 year old man was hit multiple time. he was soon pronounced dead. a 46 year old woman was hit once in the leg. she was taken to the hospital in stable condition. >> the shell casings were some within inches, some within feet of where these two victims were shot which is an indication that these victims were shot from point blank range. >> reporter: both live at that address in two separate apartments and had been sitting our on the front steps. police believe he was the intended target. >> there's a possibility that this 46-year-old female was an innocent victim who happens to be with this 24-year-old

homicide victim when the shooting took place. >> reporter: in that last case in north philadelphia, police say two men in dark hooded sweatshirts fled to the 2100 block of 19th street. that's where they got into a dark colored vehicle and drove away. call police with any tips. we're live at police headquarters, katherine scott, channel6 "action news". >> thanks, katherine. breaking right now a german hospital says a member of the united nations medical team has died from the ebola virus. the victim was infected in liberia west africa and died in a german hospital despite intensive medical procedures. the dallas nurse who was diagnosed with ebola is getting help from another doctor who beat the disease. nina pham has received a blood transfusion from dr. kent brantly an ebola survivor. pham treated thomas eric duncan who died of ebola. erin o'hearn will take a closer look at hospital precautions for ebola, plus bring us more breaking

information on that other ebola death outside of africa coming up in our next half hour. 6abc is hosting a phone bank to raise funds for the fight against ebola. members of the red cross and the local liberian community will be on hand to take your donations. call (877)940-6222 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and i tweeted out this information in case you missed it. >> it is 5:06. happening today the penalty phase of raghunandan yandamuriian's murder trial. he could face the death penalty or serve life behind bars. a jury found him guilty of first degree murder in the deaths of 10 month old saanvi venna and her grandmother. a new deal will keep septa train engineers from striking on the regional rail lines. the tentative five year contract includes a pay increase of more than 13 percent, their first raise since 2010. about 200 employees are covered under this agreement. it still needs to be ratified by septa's board and the brotherhood of local engineers

and train men. >> so, david, we're not seeing much fog right now. could that change? >> yeah, it could over the next half hour or hour. i think north and western suburbs are the best chance of seeing that but slow down if you happen to encounter some fog. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you we are dry precipitation -wise. storm tricksier trying to track that fog for you. anywhere you see the yellow and orange that's where we're beginning to see a little bit of it form. for now it's on the northern and western fringes of our neck of the woods. we have the airport at sky 6 no fog showing up here really, maybe just a little bit of mist in the lights there and temperatures are treating us well to start out. 66 degrees in philadelphia, in wilmington 65. allentown 66. trenton 63 degrees and 67s down at the shore. i brought in an always on day planner for you so you can look ahead and see how the day is going to unfold. we're starting out with some cloud cover, maybe some fog in the northern and western suburbs later on. does look like we're a little bit clearer down in delaware and maybe the southern tip of

south jersey so you have a little better chance of sun coming up nice and bright early this morning. in allentown today a high of 76 degrees. it is going to be warm and that is the big story today. clouds and sun, breezy later on up in allentown and down the shore not too shabby, 76 degrees, partly cloudy and breezy there as well. in philadelphia, we're going to go for a high of 78 this afternoon. partly cloudy to partly sunny skies. breezy conditions and we've got winds out of the south at 10 to 20 building in a little bit stronger as we go through the day. 66 degrees by 8 o'clock. that's pretty comfortable but by 11:00 we get all the way up to 75 and we're going to be in the upper 70's throughout the afternoon with that 78-degree high probably hitting around 3 o'clock today. a mix of clouds and sun overall. then on wednesday, a front comes in from the west. we get a little bit warmer. some spots might actually hit 80 on wednesday. but the clouds will get thicker as the day goes on and late in the day we are looking at some rain and some thunderstorms arriving. 10 o'clock in the morning it looks like they will possibly

be out in lancaster getting close to reading. most of this holds off until the afternoon hours. by 2 o'clock future tracker 6 is showing the potential for heavy downpours and perhaps a couple gusty thunderstorms as we head late into the afternoon and evening. you can see in lancaster there's some heavy stuff coming through and even by 10, 11 o'clock at night when cecily and adam are beginning their nighttime coverage of all of this on storm tracker 6 live we may still have some rumbles of thunder out there. your exclusive accuweather 7-day very warm today, 78 a mix of clouds and sun. a flies one if you miss summer 'cause it's going to kind of be back for a few hours this afternoon and then tomorrow warm and humid, 79 degrees for a high and the threat of thunderstorms in the afternoon. thursday there could be some rain left over very early. we may have some to track for you on the early part of our broadcast here on 6abc. but it does look like we dry out fairly quickly in the morning and then in the afternoon it's fairly cloudy but drier with a high of 72. saturday and sunday and monday you see how temperatures dip

construction is cleared but the westbound construction still out there this hour. so, look for a couple lanes blocked. in west chester over here marshall will close between high street and montgomery avenue from 9:00 until 3:00 until december 5th. stick to biddle road as your alternate while they do construction. time for your commuter traffic report which you can be a part of when you download the free waze app. looking in tredyffrin and found someone talking about church road bridge still closed for construction. we've been talk -- on the lookout for fog and seeing 10-mile visibility at philadelphia international airport which is no problem but a half mile visibility in mount pocono so only in a couple spots. 2-mile visibility in reading so just a little bit noticeable but nothing affecting your morning commute at this point, tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. take a look at this newly released video of a coast guard rescue near galveston texas. the sailboat ran aground yesterday. a helicopter crew hoisted two men off the rocks and then their boat sank completely about an hour later. one of the men was treater for minor injuries but both men are expected to be okay.

and listen to this. look at it. a swerving school bus created quite a scare on a utah highway yesterday. dash cam video shows the end of the wild ride after chaperones on board called for help. >> we were concerned with our bus driver. she can't stay in the lane, she's crossing the double lines and the adults are getting scared. >> what happened? >> she almost hit a van next to us. >> police in the end pulled the bus over and placed the 39-year-old driver under arrest. they say alycia martinez was under the influence of prescription medications, anti anxiety pills and muscle relaxers. nearly 80 elementary school students and adults were on board that bus for a field trip. thankfully no one was hurt. >> the winless flyers host anaheim tonight. the orange and black are 02 and one to start the season and forward vinnie lecavalier will be out for two weeks with a foot injury. game three of the american league championship series was rained out last night in

results of 2400 athletes ages 15 to 25 and they found that players who threw more than a hundred pitches per week more commonly developed a shoulder injury linked to long term shoulder damage. doctors currently recommend baseball pitchers between the ages of 15 and 18 play no more than two games a week with only 50 pitches per game. >> the month of october has proven to be a volatile one on wall street with big swings up and down almost every day and we could be in store for another one today. here's abc's t.j. holmes. >> reporter: good morning. topping america's pacific northwest more jitters on wall street. shares tumbled again yesterday all three major averages losing about 1.5 percent as the wildest swing in three years continues. most asian markets posted gains overnight. stocks of energy companies are being hit hard. these days gas prices are dropping. the national average is now $3.19 a gallon down 21 cents in the past month. experts say they could drop another 20 cents or so over the next couple weeks. mcdonald's starter agnew campaign meant to counter

accomplice went inside her home and went right for the jewelry box. the same thing happened in the glendale neighborhood a few hours later. >> the morning buzz talking about bears. now, back in 2010 new jersey started allowing hunters to hunt bears because there are too many of them. they have been very successful and hunters haven't really been hunting as much as they were hoping. and we keep hearing about bear sightings and bears going into suburban neighborhoods and so what new jersey is doing now is it is offering recipes for people who hunt bears to eat the meat. bear on a stick one of them, grilled bear loin and they give these recipes out when the bears are weighed. they're hoping that this will encourage more bear hunting. i'm sure the other side is -- there are going to be some animal activists that are not going to be very happy with this but dealing with the problem that new jersey has found itself in over the last couple years with too many
