low. >> the head of the cdc was on capitol hill. car and travers live now with more on that. >> reporter: good evening rick and monica, dr. thomas freeden said that amber vincent should not have been allowed to fly on that frontier flight but she didn't tell lawmakers that she had symptoms. part of the response to the cluster in dallas and what will be done for the potential for travel restrictions on west african nations. >> it took the threat of ebola to get lawmakers back to capitol hill. >> today the director of the cdc and other top officials were on the hot seat. lawmakers demanded answers about the handling of the dallas ebola cases and what the goemts is doing to stop it from spreading.

but there was drastic opinions. >> people are scared and we need all hands on deck and we need a strategy and we need to protect the american people. >> we shot no panic, we know how to stop ebola outbreak by isolating patients. >> the call is on hand for west african nations, temporary suspending travel visas from people there until the virus is under control. now the cdc can track people in those regions and conduct screenings, but people could figure out another way to get here. >> borders will be porous, and we can't check them for fever when they leave or when they arrive. and when they arrive we wouldn't be able to require quarantine. >> they need to get a handle on the virus. >> transportation is critical to

it's one of the longest running most successful game shows. today dozens of folks tested their trivia knowledge for a tryout for jeopardy. katherine scott was there. >> when the answers are questions you know the questions are on jeopardy, the game show picked the sheridan downtown and these prospective contestants would love to be on the show. >> i wanted to be on the show since high school. >> 10,000 people took the online test and today 100 took a

you but what gives everybody hope is the defense, it's the best game i have seen defensively in years. the first shout-out in 18 years, that is a long time between shutouts. billy davis did a great job with the scheme of the defense and the players executed the scheme. another team with a surprising start. the temple owls left for texas they hope to get a win at houston on friday. the owls are set for a tough test with the cougars, the top defensive team in the conference. but the owls are a confident bunch and they are undefeated thus far in the american conference and come in with a 4-1 record. i am excited for the kids and it shows they made progress. it's nice to be sitting here but you know its a challenge just staying clear at a high level and play like we are on fire and

two dallas nurses contracted the ebola virus. the head of the center for disease control was in washington today to face questions about his response and policies to stop the spread of ebola. nina pham, one of the nurses now being trance forred she will be admitted to the national institute for health in bethe a bethesda, maryland and amber vincent is being treated at emory hospital in atlantic. she flew on the frontier airline flight 1143 on monday and 132 passengers flew with her along with two pilots and four flight attendants and then the flight took four other flights, cleveland, ft. lauderdale and back to cleveland and then atlanta before ending the day in cleveland. it was then taken out of service
