lots of sunshine. speaking of numbers, 60 degrees in philadelphia. trenton, 56. allentown, 53. sea isle and atlantic city both locations showing 59. we're warmer than we were yesterday at this time when we had some locations in the 30s. we're seeing the breezes pick up. these are current wind speeds, 13 in philadelphia. ten in reading, 14 in lancaster and 12 in dover. later this afternoon the winds will pick up. 30 miles per hour by 3:00 in philadelphia. you can see several locations here, they will range anywhere from 25 to 30. it will be a nice looking day, it will be mild, breezy, sunny, we'll call it windy. 65 degrees is the forecasted high. it's cooler than yesterday, but still above average for this time of the year. as we look ahead we're tracking a big warmup by tuesday, the forecast information is getting out of control with how warm it is by tuesday afternoon. we have big changes heading into

the halloween weekend. it's cooler and there's a system approaching from the west. that means it could get damp for the trick or treaters, i'll have the forecast when i come back in just a bit. >> it was a showdown with the city of philadelphia and a popular car service. uber x as he says it's affording transportation. chad perdelli has more. >> reporter: only "action news" was on the scene as the uber x driver was busted by the philadelphia parking authority. the car was impounded and the driver received a thousandrity. dollar fine. >> the first time i heard it was illegal is when i get busted for driving. >> they are not licensed to do this in the state of pennsylvania or the county of cold. the we'll enforce the laws that are here. >> reporter: uber has been at war for months. they call the company a ride

reads. a big issue is money, to operate a cab in the city you need what's call a medallion they are auctioned off and go for roughly a half million bucks. what happens next, philadelphia parking authority expects to get an injunction against uber. i did speak to an uber spokesperson who said drivers will have all their costs covered. chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." >> happening today, many septa union workers will vote on a possible strike. they are working under an expired contract since march. septa management said they've given no indication that a work stoppage is immanent. the strike vote is at 3 at the sheet metal workers union hall.

the jet stream is well up here to the north. we follow the cloud cover, that's the storm track. as long as that stays there, the lower 48 will be quiet. through wednesday the cold will stay to the north, the far northern portions of the united states, maybe across the u.s./canadian border. 50s and 60s. cooler in chicago that will sweep through here, that will moderate because we don't have any snow cover. that will moderate. we have a nice mild pattern. that will change, though, look farther to the north. this is what's heading this way. this is the next cold shot right here, the pattern instead of west to east, by the time we get into halloween will become north to south that will drive that cold shot into the lower 48. that will cool things off big time by the time we get into halloween and next weekend. today is nice, high pressure in control. it's pacific air under the high. mild today.

marysville in washington, d.c. jaylen fryburg killed one girl and wounded three others. two were his cousins. he was not a loner, but a popular football player who was named a homecoming prince last week. but he left months of troubling messages on social media and friends say he had been in a fight over a girl. his family is devastated. >> we're all going to pray together because we're all one big family at home that was sitting around the table, one big fryburg family that's the ones that got shot. >> a first year teacher was praised for confronting fryburg, the teacher intervened as he tried to reload. >> federal investigators say a man accused of killing two

deputies in northern california was deported two times and has two drug convictions. his wife was arrested on friday. homicide detectives spent hours questioning them to find out why they went on a rampage that left two deputies dead and left a civilian fighting for his life. there were nofs -- there was no indication they were sought by police. the manhunt for eric frein continues for killing a trooper and wounding another one on september 12. janet price a native of barrett township is selling t-shirts saying barrett proud going to the township police in support of the manhunt for frein. >> some people have come and said what a great thing you're doing for the community, you seem to be happy about it. >> reporter: the shirts are selling for $20.
