there's still snowshowers in parts of ocean county county. it wouldn't be out of the question that the flakes make it to philadelphia later on. cloud cover is easy to see, that's everywhere and it's getting thicker through the morning hours. the temperature, the freezing mark, 32 degrees, allentown, 28. same thing in reading. 34 in millville, milder down by the shore. i've been tweeting out images of the snow showers on my twitter feed, of course i've been saying how it wasn't sticking on road surfaces because of the relatively warm temperatures by the beach. windchills, yeah, you definitely feel it. the winds are running in the low teens right now across the region, and that makes it feel like 22 in philadelphia. we still have a windchill in the upper teens in allentown. bundle up the rest of the way. today at high, 36 degrees well below the average of 46. the overnight low down around 36, as well as temperatures will climb in the overnight hours and then comes tomorrow we have a

stuffed into the trunk of a car at a motel in maple shade. the investigation led police to a home in philadelphia. katherine scott joins us live from the city's olney section with the details. katherine. >> reporter: and sarah, maple shade police were going door to door in olney asking about a woman who lived in this neighborhood. you can see them here along the street and some of the surrounding block. philadelphia investigators were here, as well. they galleried evidence from inside a home on the corner. authorities on both sides of the delaware investigating after a woman's body was found in the trunk in maple shade. >> i was on my way to work and they said i can't go anywhere. >> reporter: brandon sample was staying here on route 38 and found his van was taped in the crime scene. investigators gathered evidence overnight concentrating on the

white car in the parking lot. the report came in at 9:30 in the hours after police went door to door in the hotel looking for information. >> they came to my door, like, a little bit before 2:00 a.m. banging on my door and asking me where i was at and i did see anything during the day. >> reporter: we're told the investigation is connected to a missing persons case in philadelphia from last week today investigators from burlington k-89 and the philadelphia -- county and the philadelphia police were at the home. authorities were here to serve a search warrant and went through the neighborhood to learn more. >> officers wanted information on her, i couldn't help with anything. they asked if i knew anything about her. >> "action news" learned that family members contacted police concerned about the victim's safety and police traced the location of the car through an onstar tracking system. police are questioning the driver of the sedan who apparently knew the victim.

at this point there's no word of any charges being filed in this case. the medical examiner has not released a cause or time of death, but we are expecting to learn more from the burlington county prosecutor's office as the day goes on. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a philadelphia firefighter suffered minor injuries while battling the braise in the city's frankford section overnight. it happened on the 1200 block of arrit street. 8 people from the neighboring building were evacuated as a precaution. the cause is under investigation. two people were seriously hurt when their car crashed into a pole in south jersey overnight. it happened near the intersection of westfield and sherman avenue in pennsauken camden county at 2:00 a.m. police officers say the driver lost control and hit a utility pole. the force caused a passenger to

be ejected. the driver and passenger were rushed to cooper university hospital for treatment. >> police are looking for two armed men who got away with cash and cigarettes from a plymouth meeting convenience store, investigators released surveillance video of the crime on december 2. you can see two masked men enter the store at liberty gas station on butler pike. one man flashed a semi automatic handgun and escorted the clerk away from the register, the other robber filled up a bag with cigarettes. >> the problem that kept customers from using credit he cards in the parking authority kiosks. customers had to use cash at the more than 1,000 pay stations. it appears they are working again. >> well, today marks prince william and his wife duchess kate their first full day in the

>> obviously nothing like that here, but rain on the way. >> reporter: significant rain on the way. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows we're mostly dry, although you can see we are bothered by snow showers that keep popping in off the ocean, they change over to rain and back to snow, it hadn't done a whole lot, maybe coating on the grassy surfaces and non-road surfaces. take it slow, if you see that, we'll see if any of that creeps closer to philadelphia. heading outside mainly cloudy and chilly. we have temperatures in the 0s this afternoon and feeling chillier than that. the current number # # degrees, the -- 32 degrees, the freezing mark, winds at 14 miles per hour. it feels like the low 20s right now that's the story across the region. the temperatures in the upper 20s up north around the freezing mark in the i-95 corridor and mid up to upper

30s down the shore. definitely a day to put on a coat and extra gear if you're outside. wind speeds not horrific but enough to get the windchills down. feels like 26 degrees right now in philadelphia with that 14-mile an hour wind. satellite shows you that cloud cover has been gathering strength we never did squeeze out a whole lot of sunshine earlier. there's the precipitation along the coast and clouds will be with us the rest of the way today. up in allentown we're going for cloudy conditions, 35 is the high, windy and chilly, the clouds getting thicker as the day goes on. down the shore, it's mainly cloudy skies, as well, getting thicker as the afternoon goes on. some of you from atlantic city north are seeing the snow showers. 47 degrees is the high, though, windy and cool down along the beach. 36 is the high in philadelphia. clouds, again, getting thicker and thicker as the afternoon goes, brisk and chilly, the winds out of the northeast building 10 to 20 miles per hour later in the afternoon.

overnight tonight we see them go up to 12 to 25 miles per hour, why? because the center of the nor easter coming up the coast will be closer and the winds will pick up. we'll get rains overnight, rising temperatures, 35 and climbing from there. in the northern and western suburbs as the precipitation moves in it will start out as mixed precipitation, but i expect that to change over to rain quickly. mainly cloudy for the afternoon and evening commute. brisk and chilly. 36 degrees by 4:34 by 5:30 and 33 by 7:00 p.m. we see the numbers bounce up later tonight. in terms of of the rain it will be raving after midnight. 4:30 we're expecting to it blanket everywhere and 7:00 p.m. and noon it's still coming down and it gets better later in the afternoon tomorrow. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast we're going for a high of 36 today. brisk and chilly. 44 with heavy rain at times through the morning and early afternoon tomorrow, and then we
