1-800-phl-gate. and now, looking live into center city sky6hd the fog. you can see the raindrops hitting our camera there as well. and let's head down to the shore and look at conditions. in atlantic city, more fog there. mostly rain along the shore. there was a brief minutes or so of snow when the system first pulled in. that quickly turned to rain. that's mostly what they have seen in that area. taking a look live look in wilmington delaware, sky6hd. you can see white stuff there along the ground. mostly rain in that area as well now. we have team coverage for you this morning. meteorologist chris sowers is tracking the latest from accuweather and remnants of the nor'easter and "action news" reporter john rawlins is out and about in bucks county and we begin with chris and the accuweather forecast, chris. >> eva, good morning you to, stormtracker 6 double scan showing for the most part a clean slate. we have patchy drizzle around the city and patchy freezing drizzle in the lehigh valley. steady precipitation heavier

snow and rain we saw earlier this morning is long gone. it's all the way up into new england now. some of my twitter followers continue to send me pictures. this is jeff in forks township township. he picked up 8" of snow from the system in the overnight hours and jen bucks county telford this is jay. he had 3 to 4" of snow and on top of that a coating of ice nice little glaze. it was not the snow. roads for the most part is clear. icing is taking place now and creating some treacherous conditions out there. snowfall totals for the most part they were in line with what we h some areas saw more as we got a thumping in the lehigh valley. northampton county there, forks township 8". bethlehem 7". perk 5.5" and ewing 5" and philadelphia 1". martins creek 7", fleetwood 6" florence 3" lakehurst 2.2" and

haddon heights new jersey, 1.5". there's this morning's rain and snow he event pulling away. when it pulls through it will produce rain and snow. we're not expecting additional accumulations out of this. it could be enough to maybe create slick spots out there once again. what to expect the remainder of the afternoon. cloudy skies. killly out there temperatures in mid 30s. rain showers leftover. snow mixing in at times. again no additional accumulation. when i come back in a few minute we'll talk more about storm system number two that arrives sunday night to monday and once again potential for accumulating snow. eva. thanks, chris. let's head out to john rawlins who's joins us live from quakertown, bucks county, how are conditions where are you john? >> not too bad. eva, since the last time we talked we moved into the central part of quakertown. it's a light miss the still

falling almost a drizzle but sort of a mist. we're in the center of town. it's a picturesque scene no doubt about it. as i move to the right we'll move to west broad the main drag of quakertown. it's wet with a little slush. not much traffic on. it as you go across the street people shoveled walks. overall quiet on this snowy sunday morning. >> estimated 4 to 6" fell in and around quakertown overnight. great conditions for making and then posing with a new winter friend. at times though the snow gave way to icy sleet and rain. road crews moved quickly. this is west broad street at about 4 a.m. and again at about 8:00. most main roads like 663 clear by day break and conditions were generally gd and icy patches could make for trouble. >> i have all wheel drive it's

not a struggle for us. some accumulation here and nothing down. it's rough in certain spots. in town it's not bad. they did a good job salting but i had somebody stop on me quick and i slipped and slid and got rough. >> apologize we got a day ahead of ourself. it's saturday morning. it feels like sunday morning we've been out since 3:30 this morning. things are getting better here no doubt about it. still even though the roads are clear and crews are busy as you hear there's still slick spots out. there be very, very careful if you get out on to the roads today. live in quakertown, john rawlins, "channel 6 action news," back to you eva. >> good advice. a number of ast tests were cancelled and we have those and other closings at the bottom of your screen. you can see the snow on the ground, buses pulled into the situation for those waiting to catch a ride.

septa officials updated us. passengers on the warminster and west trenton lines may experience delays of up to 207 minutes due to signal problems. the action cam was out and about in bensalem bucks county while it was still snowing. this is street road at route 13. salt trucks were busy treating roads to keep them from becoming a slippery mess. >> hat feed, montgomery county few people convenient toured out in early morning hours and light flurry snow covered the walks trees and powers line near work and moreland street. theres with a similar scene northeast philadelphia. action cam was at a wawa tie on avenue and roosevelt overnight. it didn't keep drives from running errand. if you are out and about take it slow. you heard john say thx the roads could still be slick. >> now, storms moved through. make sure to download the stormtracker 6 app it has the latest accuweather and access to live radar plus use the report your weather feature to let us know what is happening where you

are and to send us your photos of the weather you are seeing. and overnight nor'easter could not stop some parents in bucks county dedicated to education of their children they were lined up at the school lane charter school in bensalem hoping to register their children for 2015-20 16 school year. registration continues until 11:00 this morning. >> and new this morning a double shooting in philadelphia hunting park section left one man dead and another critically hurt. it happened along the 400 block of you to son street 4:30 a.m. police arrived to find suv engine still running. the 34-year-old driver was shot multiple times. lost control of a vehicle and hit a fence. he died at the scene. a second man was shot in the chest. he is in critical condition. there are no arrests so far. >> and happening today a private memorial for three of the family members killed in a shooting rampage. police say bradley stone murdered 6 former family members in a day long rampage across

montgomery county on december 15. today's service will remember 39-year-old a.j. flick and 36-year-old wife trisha and 14-year-old daughter nina. the loan surviving victim 17-year-old anthony flick was treated at the hospital and released. go fund me page has been set up for him. a former volunteer firefighter in glenolden was taken from jail to court in media where he was arraigned on charges of sexually abusing 14 children. according to court documents 21-year-old john cochran's alleged victims were between 8 and 14. abuse began in december of 2012 and investigators fear there could be more victims of sexual abuse. >> it's heart wrenching and it's just so shocking to see that one individual one child predator can cause so much disinstruction. >> quark van already serving

time forsetting three abandoned buildings on fire before then arriving on the scene to help fight those blazes. authorities have shut down a boarding house in north philadelphia. officials say the home on the 3000 block of north 22 had illegal electrical hookup and the building was scene of a deadly fire on november 7. 20 people were displaced. and are using dobbins high school as a temporary shelter. police are wing a resident in connection with that 7-alarm blaze that ripped through the main business district street of a pittsburgh suburb. the fire burned five buildings in holmstead and spread to apartment building where six had to escape the flames. it appeared the fire started in packs preparation office that recently opened in one of the buildings. >> and much more to come on "action news" this afternoon morning. president obama is heading to the middle east. and we'll explain why he's cutting his trip to india. and plus the philadelphia auto show is just one week away.

>> you can see the snow there on the ground. that was a brief glimpse into the city there the point is the rain moved in and some of that snow is starting to melt a little as the sun is coming up. things are looking better. >> temperatures starting to warm. mongt locations are above 32 which is good sign. and actually, taking a look at the storm as a whole, things worked out nicely. most of it occurred while we were sound asleep and really the only thing it messed up was friday night if you had late-night plans. the good news is live at the philadelphia international airport we have low ceilings causing delays at the airport right now of up to 30 minutes and we're seeing improving situation here. stormtracker 6 double scan not much going on right now just a little patchy leftover drizzle south and east and patchy freezing drizzle north and west. it's very, very light so light in fact the radar is having a dive call time picking it up. wider view as we set it in

motion we have this round here iping withing through during the afternoon hours not expecting additional accumulation and rain showers and few snowflakes mixed in. maybe northwestern, lehigh valley snow and some raindrops mixed in. this is nothing as we saw earlier as the huge storm pulls awe. we have a winter storm warning in effect for lehigh valley for combination of snow, sleet and ice. a lot of this has come to an end. there's a little bit of misting and freezing drizzle taking place up there right now. final snowfall totals in lehigh valley ranged from 4 to 8" and patchy freezing drizzle over next several hours sleet occurs south of interstate 80 and be on the lookout for slushy roads and sidewalks and again continuing to show you some of the pictures sent in by my twitter followers. i'm having a hard time. there it is there. that looks like a good 5 6" that accumulated on her bench on the railing there.

that is tonya in quakertown and tonya from perk withcy where they picked up anywhere from 3 to 4" of snow with the storm system. snowfall totals fell in line with what we predicted. there was more through here as they got a thumping after midnight. there that's why totals elevated more in the lehigh valley. for everybody else it fell in line what we were call. allentown 3 3, philadelphia 34 wildwood 37 degrees. visibility becoming issue once again. wilmington down to a mile. philadelphia two trenton two and trenton 1.7 miles. future tracker 6 for remained he of afternoon cloudy and chilly. again patchy drizzle time to time especially city points south and east. north and west maybe freezing drizzle in the lehigh valley and later this afternoon a second part of the storm. rain showers, maybe snowflakes mixed in and that pushes off the coast by 5 or 6:00 this afternoon and skies go partly

employee that can be fired by governor but he continues to go into the office and plans to take the matter to court. >> that's why we get director of office six year term long enough to cross gubernatorial terms we wanted this office is to be not under gun of governor. >> he's in the office because he showed up but he's not taking workt out and not getting paid. >> and pennsylvania officials asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit against penn state and ncaa over penalties related to jerry sandusky jer child abuse case. a letter between pen straight and treasury department calls for university to send the state $ 36 million within ten days of dismissal order and $12 million by july. the monday will fund child abuse prevention efforts. sandusky is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence. more problems for atlantic city

of snow on either side and some slush throughout the roads every now and then. so far pretty good for mobile six this morning. turning to sports, sixers travel to memphis to take on grizzlies after dropping the ball here at home. the sixers started last night's game on high note up against the raptors 16-0 and 4th quarter that leaves windows up and the raptors stormed back and thanks to former villanova standout kyle lowery and they got a lead on free throws. >> and tony wroton has a partially torn acl. his injury will require surgery. there's no timetable for his return and no question they will certainly miss the nearly 17 points per game scoring average. >> and the nfl has finally commented on the so-called deflate-gate involving new england patriots and the league says its investigation is ongoing. and trying to determine how 11 of of the 12 balls patriots

>> mobile 6 is out open the roads, icy roads a big concern this morning especially after last weekend and flash freeze that led toe deadly crashes. across most of the tri-state overnight and for some it changed over to rain. you can see mobile 6 now on third street in south philadelphia. sky6hd looking live at the conditions at philadelphia international airport there were a number of cancellations and delays. many with southwest airlines. the airport reporting about 30 plus minute delays and so far if you're flying out on expecting someone to fly in call ahead. you can check 1-800-phl-gate. this is a live look now at peps landing. via sky6hd, snow covered ground

and roads looking clear. let's head down to atlantic city and check out the conditions there. mostly rain. you see the rain spotting our camera lens there and the little wind as camera begins to shake. in the first take a live look at via sky6hd wilmington, delaware you're seeing a little bit of lingering snow. but mostly looks like rain on the roadways there and the roadways look pretty clear. let's check in now with meteorologist chris sowers from the latest from accuweather and we have seen the whole gamut of everything possible this morning. >> everything outside of a thunderstorm we picked up this morning to tell you the truth. it was funny. it was interesting. when i came in this morning there was not much going on, it was raining roads were wet. south jersey near glassboro since hit the base of walt whitman fwrij was like it was snowing for hours and the further north and west you went they picked up more in the way of snow. right now doing okay. little misting going on and

patchy driz frl time to time and some areas actually seeing freezing sdrizle this sliver right here is far northwestern suburbs and includes places like reading, lap caster, pottstown allentown, quakertown and easton. watch for the glaze accumulating on top of the snow that had fallen from last night and basically anything that has not been traded. power lines tree branches and bridges and overpasses sidewalks and drive ways could be slick even though the snow for the most part is probably been removed from sidewalks and streets in our area and some of the images look like what karen sent me she lives in west chester and you can see they pickedp ape nice coating looks like 2 or 3" there in west chester and we get into mercerville this is inmerer county in new jersey looks like jim and they got about 4" hopefully you can pick that up again heavy wet snow. if you try to remove that snow couple tips pending at the knees. this is not light fluffy stuff

you remove with a broom. it's heavy, wet snow. take time getting that off the walks in streets and drive ways this morning. as we go wooit wider there's not much going on. the first part of the system is long gone and second part is across the mountains. you see how disorganized it s it should hold together long enough to push through western suburbs later on and that could push rain showers with light snow mixing in and we're not expecting additional precipitation. >> cloudy and chilly. rain showers later this afternoon and maybe a few snow showers mixed in and patchy drizzle as well. 37 the forecasted high probably reaching that somewhere between and 4:00 this afternoon. otherwise cloudy and damp out there and dreary. eva i'll have another update storm system two that arrives sunday night and monday coming up in the 7 day in ten minutes. >> this is the scene at springfield square shopping center springfield township delaware county overnight and

the plows were out working to clear up the parking lots for any of those early morning customers. and the action cam was in horsham montgomery documenty overnight. two tractor-trailers got stuck route 611 at broadway. we're trying to drive up the snow covered highway. you can keep track of nor'easter with 6abc stromtracker app. get the latest from accuweather and live radar. plus use the report of your weather feature to let us know what's happening where you are and send us photos of the snow. >> police in wilmington delaware are investigating a deadly triple shooting involving three teenagers it happened at second and north wind street last night a 16-year-old boy is dead after hit in the head and 17-year-old boy was shot in chest and shoulder and he is in stable condition. an a third victim a 16-year-old boy is at st. pran sis in stable condition with gunshot wound to elbow. police are serving for the shooter. >> philadelphia police are also investigating a deadly shooting involving a teen. a 17-year-old boy was shot in the chest last night along the 2000 block of north lambert street in north philadelphia. and he later died from his wounds at temple university hospital. police have no suspects for motive in this shooting. >> and a one month old baby

girl is hospitalized after 25% of her face was mauled by the family pet ferret it happened thursday afternoon at the girl's home in darbyboro at least two of three family pet ferrets escaped from a cage as the infant sky isabel sat in her car seat next to them. the baby's mother was upstairs and ran down when she heard sky being attacked. bernie frame woke to his fiancee's screams. >> when i came down she was like right here holding the baby and not moving you know what i mean she was more like hysterical screaming. >> and darby police are investigating. they say the infant underwent life saving surgery after her parents called 911. she's got a lifetime of surgeries ahead. >>. three ferrets were euthanized and authorities call the living conditions in the home de floorable. the infant's four other siblings were placed in the care of family members.

the family of smyrna, delaware woman are asking the community to join in-er isp for mother of four. keesha hamilton has been missing since january 10 when she disappeared with 4-year-old and 4-month-old the children were safely found with their father and there's no sign of kiesha and her family believes she was harmed. >> she actually texted me the night before stating if anything was to happen to her that the police should check cortez because she was owe afraid of him the night before her disappearance. cortez hamilton is being held on 400,000 bail for assault, weapons possession and endangering welfare of a child. a search party is meeting tomorrow at 8 a.m. at the whichwood volunteer fire department to look for kiesha. >> the philadelphia mayoral race is heating up. jim kenny will run for office and an official announcement is expected next week.

what you're seeing. >> that's right if you live north and west of city it's snow and ouj and east oh my goodness. and the clipper system swings through sunday night to monday and looks like everybody will see snow out of that and as far as sizable accumulations south jersey and delaware missed out on this one. there's the view now. camden water front. battleship new jersey quiet and foggy out there and patchy mist develops. stormtracker 6 double scan crystal clear other than drizzle in and around the city and patchy freezing drizal cross the lehigh valley. wider view showing this band right here still yet to pull through and will probably come through during the first part of the afternoon after lunchtime and rain showers develop once again and mix in with know snow. they're not expecting additional accumulation out of this.

for western suburbs and lehigh valley for a little bit of snow, sleet and freezing rain over the next couple hours. more like the next hour and about 15 minutes and then that warping should be set to expire. now, within the warning area fine taal snowfall totals 4 to 8". again we continue to see patchy drizzle and sleet south of interest sfait 80 and roadways back road bays could be slushy and sidewalks even though you removed the snow mower than likely a thin glaze developing and there's going to be icy patches on sidewalks. take time out there this morning. final snowfall total 7". springfield 5.4 new tripoli 5.4 and 5" in horsham and 4" of snow. this is heavy wet snow. bend your knees as you try to shovel it. take breaks. if you feel tired stand there for a couple minutes and relax. and make sure you drop salt and sand after you remove the snow. temperatures drop off again overnight tonight and you see
