4:00 a.m. they saw flames shooting from the first and second stories of the house, additional fire fighters were brought into help control the blaze. no one was injured, no word on a cause. woman ace monk three people arrested after investigators say that she punched, three philadelphia police officers during a huge mala outside a par early this morning. it all started just before 3:00 a.m. outside the good life lounge on bustleton avenue. a a security guard called police after the the fight broke out and he heard several shots being fired. when officers arrived several dozen people were still involved in the mala. one man reportedly came at officers, with fists raised and with pepper spray. a woman then jumped between that man and officers and began swinging. the those punches connected with three officers. she was arrested on assault charges. also in the bustleton section of the city two men posing as police officers robbed a business last night. investigators say men entered dtm detailing on geiger road identifying themselves as

cops. one of the men, even had a gun. they forced employees to the floor, and tied his hand and took $1,200 from his wallet. they toll the man they will get a warrant and then took off. anyone with any information is asked to call philadelphia police. to politics now, one day ahead of the iowa caucus, the the candidates spent the day frantically winning over voters in a final appeal. rick will continue his, live reports from iowa, through monday's vote. you can see his next live report tonight at 11:00. he is tweeting and posting more about the sights and sound on facebook. it could be a trick commute tomorrow for anyone who usually takes the falls bridge. it is shutting down for two months so crews can make much needed repairs. "action news" reporter trish hartman has more. >> reporter: thousands of drivers use the falls bridge to cross the schuylkill river every day. but as of monday the bridge will be closed to vehicles for repairs. work is expect to be completed by april 1st. >> it is what it is. i read that they will be fix ago this. >> reporter: while the bridge is closed crews will sit special brackets under bridge strengthening steel beams beneath the road surface. city inspectors found rust and corrosion late last year prompting emergency repairs. here in east falls folks are preparing themselves with the congestion that will come with the detours. the city officials are

instructing drivers to use city avenue bridge instead. >> it will be crazy. traffic is already crazy in the morning coming a across here and it will be like hell. >> reporter: city officials announced closure in december and as you can see at the the entrance to the bridge, is there a sign posted as well, but still we managed to find some folks who had not heard about the repairs. >> what will you do instead? >> i don't know, i have to figure that out now. >> reporter: while drivers will have to find another route bikers and pedestrians will have access to the sidewalk. if you use the bridge recreational they were happy to hear about the repairs to the 121 year-old bridge that is a fixture in fairmount park. >> atmosphere is incredible. good place to train, good place to work out. >> reporter: city officials hope this round of repairs will last until a full restoration can be done in five or six years. >> it really needs it when you see underside of this bridge. it needs a good solid foundation underneath it, so it the will last another hundred years. >> reporter: reporting from

are celebrating the start of catholic school week. a action cam was at saint frances desales church in the kingsessing section of the city where they celebrated a special mass. bunch of students were involve in the service including members of the st. francis desales orchestra. after mass there was open house for families and potential students. hundreds of the people hit phone lines in cherry hill today for a great cause. this is super sunday, annual phone-a-thon to benefit the jewish federation of new

jersey. money raised benefits wide variety of programs helping holocaust survivors, college students, elderly and needy. phone-a-thon runs through thursday. also in cherry hill a popular brewing company held its annual charity day. forgotten boardwalk brewing used the day to raise a awareness about the benefits of organ donation. brewery featured two specially made spicy beers. a portion of the proceed will go to the living kidney donors network and gift of life donor house. there are plenty of things to do and see at this years philly auto show. today crowd packed the pennsylvania convention center to see world cup champion and two time gold medalist carli lloyd. delran, new jersey native gave an inspirational, and took questions from some young soccer players. okay. much more to come, in sports, nhl all-star game took a unique turn with the unique style of play. jeff skversky has details when "action news" comes right back.
