protested today against proposed state take over of city finances. >> fired up! >> ready to go! >> those demonstrators are specifically against the takeover bill supported by chris christie, it would give the state power to break the state's bargaining agreements and terminate contracts. the speaker says he will not support it. 40,000 verizon workers could walk off the job in less than 24 hours, the cable and line workers are threatening to strike tomorrow morning if verizon does not agree to a new contract. they want them to freeze pensions. there are issues with health care costs and current workers that need to be addressed. workers are without a contract since august. in a little more than three months from now philadelphia will play host to the 2016

"action news" has brand new pictures showing how first responders rescued a child stuck in waste deep mud stuck in chester creek. the fire department sent us these images, a 12-year-old boy tried to get out of the mud for hours, and rescuer his to use an air knife to get him free. the child was treated at a local hospital. and just finished speaking with sara bloomquist and you'll hear from him tonight at 6:00. bill cosby's attorney is trying to get the criminal charges against him thrown out. lawyers have filed an appeal with the pennsylvania supreme court, they want to overturn the ruling that the sex assault again cosby and andrea constand can move forward. and a judge in massachusetts

ruled that cosby's wife camille must finish her deposition. and they accuse cosby of sexually assaulting them decades ago. a family is on a mission to solve a theft. as they were mourning a death someone stole her grandmother's wedding ring off her finger in the casket. they recorded the crime in broad daylight. two of the victim's granddaughters are out to find the culprit and they posted this story on facebook. >> in the midst of trying to get ready and eating and taking care of that, all of these messages are coming in -- >> well, as you might guess the story is going viral on social media and police are also investigating and hoping the exposure will lead to an arrest and get the ring back for the

family. there is no shortage of melt downs at airports, tensions can get high during travel but one woman's full blown temper tantrum at an american airlines desk is going viral. a la guardia flight was going on 12 hours and to signs of a flight. the melt down mom was trying to get her family to miami and feared they would not make their disney cruise, cops were called in to keep order but she was the most vocal. >> if there is no flights just say there is no flights -- >> i'm getting everyone's name here -- >> you are all going to pay for the disney cruise and everything else here. >> a long story short the airport was shut down because of strong winds and the flight was

diverted here to philly and by the time they got it up to la guardia the crew worked too many hours to fly. the good news is the woman and her kids made it to the disney cruise before it sailed. and it is the anonymous letter from a letter that sent one fuming mother in the may fair section to facebook not just air out the hateful hand written note she received but to raise awareness about autism. >> bonnie is the mother of three and her youngest son ryan is autistic. their neighbor was upset because they could not get fresh air because of the child. >> they started out by calling the boy a brat and goes as far as to call the child an r word. >> the screaming and carrying on has to stop nobody wantses to hear him act like a wild animal

and it's utterly nerve-racking and it's scaring my normal children. the neighbor goes on to suggest, that bonnie, his mom, should give him some old fashion discipline sometimes and he will behave. >> angry, upset and emotional, bonnie posted the letter and her response, she has no idea which nasty neighbor penned the note but is posting it to educate people. never judge people because they don't know what they are going through. the silver lining is that after bonnie posted it, ryan, the cute little 3-year-old guy here, got calls for some play dates. >> some awful, awful person wrote the letter. >> i think they'll find them pretty quickly. lets gets another check of the roads right now. lets go to matt pellman in the traffic center.
