time 9:01. new this morning, a person is dead and another injured after a car slammed into a utility pole in south jersey. this happened around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of hawk's bridge and pointers road in salem county. one person died at the scene. crews rushed another person to the hospital. no word on their condition. firefighters were called overnight to battle a blaze at a delaware county mcdonald's. flames break out on the 4200 block of edgemont avenue in brook haven. firefighters got the fire under control shortly after they arrived. part of bucks county medical complex was destroyed by a two-alarm fire overnight. firefighters were called to the baileywick office commons around

home. the family was presented with the ceremonial key during a special presentation in fairmont park. wells fargo partnered with a group celebrating our veterans to donate the home in millville, cumberland county. the family said they were overwhelmed by the incredible act of generosity. we have had our share of ups and downs, my family and i can not begin to tell you how much it means to us to be living in our very own home. wells fargo has donated more than 8800 homes across the u.s. since the beginning of the property donation program in 2009. i love this, this is a picture of historic moment in wildwood, new jersey, the city's first female firefighter was sworn in on wednesday. her father had the honor of pinning her badge in place.

the person was stabbed in the neck. a country music concert was going on at the time. repairs will be made tomorrow to a center city road after it collapsed under the weight of a septa bus this weekend. you can see where the back right tire sunk into the ground on the 2,000 block of walnut in center city. nobody was hurt, the bus was back on route after they removed it from the sinking roadway. an officer in memphis, tennessee has died after being hit by a suspect who tried to get away and ended up hitting the 46-year-old officer rodell smith. officers did take the suspect into custody, he is survived by his children and fiance. turning to the race for the

injuries after her home caught fire in northeast philadelphia last week. five-year-old sophia olsen and her mother were seriously hurt when their home caught fire in morrell park. sophia olsen was trapped in a back bedroom. her mother is in stable condition at temple hospital. no word on what caused the fire. veterinarians are caring

their way through the streets of philadelphia right now. but first we're keeping our eyes on the sky. severe weather threatens the delaware and lehigh valleys. it will be no day at the beach as the storms move in today. you will want to keep your umbrella and raincoat handy if you're heading out. meteorologist karen rogers is at the "action news" big board with more on the storms. >> reporter: with storm tracker 6 live double scan we can see the real weather is not currently in the i-95 corridor. it's out to the west. we're starting to see the storms fire up. earlier we saw the areas of green, rain, we're starting to see yellow and red out to the north and west. this will push through the area giving us the chance of severe weather. you can see the showers near harrisburg. poconos getting hit with a downpour right now along i-80, as well as easton and route 33 if you're driving through milford and quakertown.
