we're learning new details about an early morning stabbing in falls township. it happened inside a home on the 6200 block of foster drive. police say a 59-year-old man is dead and his former girlfriend severely injured and in the hospital. annie mccormick is live at the scene where detectives are sorting out what happened. >> reporter: sarah, police are not releasing the name of the woman involved. she also in the hospital with severe, but not non-life threatening injuries. you can see the crime scene and the cones marking evidence along with a blood trail. at this hour police are working to figure out the details of what appears to be a deadly domestic dispute. a 911 call brought police to this mobile home park after 4:00 a.m. in they discovered a woman bleeding on the roadway with stab wounds several feet from

her home. inside the home they discovered david mathis with a stab wound to the neck. they were believed to be a couple. investigators believe they recently broke up. today is his birth day. >> the male entered the house and altercation ensued. from her statement, she did inflict injuries on him, we're unsure of the manner of the injuries and pled the house. >> this morning neighbors reacted. >> very friendly, they look out for their neighbors, they are great people. this is horrible. >> i'm in shock, a lot of pain, we loved dave. >> reporter: police believe this was a domestic incident involving the couple. they are trying to piece together the details including the motive. >> we can't say it was

we may have clouds later today and this evening, but generally speaking it's going to be bright. 78 in millville, and philadelphia. 75 in trenton and wilmington. 76 in cape may. best of all, the dewpoints are way down there, how about 46 in philadelphia. you got to get to about 60 to begin to feel humid and obviously we're well below that across the region, the exception is down the shore. to today's high, 83 degrees that's off the record high for a change. a little bit above average, but not too far. overnight tonight, 63 the overnight low and 62 the normal low, so right around average. dewpoints will climb over the next couple of days. 61 on wednesday is not too bad. it will be humid on wednesday, certainly hotter, by the time we get the higher dewpoint on sunday which we would consider oppressive, the heat is not so bad. i'll run down all this in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. we have a new tropical storm that formed in the atlantic, we

hope it stays out there, i'll give you the latest track on ian and the rest of the seven-day forecast. it's nice out here. >> thank you, david. there's more trouble on the septa regional rails, the rail cars that were recently fixed are being pulled from service because of a new defect. septa made repairs to the suspension system, but they found a new design problem over the weekend. another design change is being made. despite the set back be officials believe they can get all cars in working order by mid november as planned. traffic is moving on the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike. an overturned truck was blocking the northbound lanes in upper milford township for more than two hours this morning, no injuries reported. the eagles are flying high off that win and the impressive debut from carson wentz. head coach doug peterson is

storm tracker 6 live double scan, we have a lack of rain out there, which is nice, if you take a look at the action cam out in valley forge a little while ago, i defy you to find a cloud in that picture. you have to look hard. the closest cloud cover is down along the coast and even that it's off the coast. 78 degrees. it's warm out there. how about that dewpoint down in the mid 40s, anything under 60 is considered not humid. winds out of the east at 6, we don't expect them to be all that strong. 75 in allentown. 75 in reading, 77 in wilmington, upper 70s in millville and in atlantic city. there's satellite a lack of cloud cover around, high pressure is building in, really our friend today. a little bit of cloud cover is down by the coast, but we're bright and staying in the lehigh valley today. we'll go for lots of sun in bethlehem and easton and out in

reading. 70 degrees is the high in the lehigh valley. down the shore, nice day on the beach, pleasant, 77 degrees, ocean temperature 74. low risk of rip currents, although without the lifeguards you have to be careful not to go in too deep. that's a good idea this time of year. lots of sunday in philadelphia, high around 82, 83 whether we're talking about the airport or center city. 79 by 6:00 p.m. and 77 degrees by 7:00 p.m. low humidity all the way. overnight, 63 degrees and clear skies and comfortable conditions. some suburbs will get into the 50s, like this morning when you step outside tomorrow, the humidity will be low and the temperatures will be cool and refreshing. then we get into tuesday, there's a cold front that comes in from the west. this encourages a southerly flow. that will bump the number up to 85 degrees, it will be warmer and more humid, but not that

bad. by wednesday the front will get closer to us and increase the southerly flow. we'll hit 90 and feel humid on wednesday, there could be a late-day thunderstorm and that's what to expect the next couple of days. tropical storm ian is out in the atlantic. it's well out away from the leeward islands. and bermuda. it will push into the central atlantic and miss us and bermuda by a large distance and curl it away. it could make the sea choppy along the coastline. creek it's not going to be a threat to lands. we hope it stays that way. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, sunny and nice 83. low humidity, nice and sunny on tuesday, 85. a nice day. hot and humid on wednesday, high of 90. in the afternoon and evening we'll be on the the look out for a shower or thunderstorm.

will be along a little bit later. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news" at 12:30 p.m. huge flames shot out of a business in south jersey badly damaging parts of the building. katherine scott tells us what was spared at the auto body shop. major concerns about the spraying being done to kill mosquitoes that carry the zika virus. eagles coach doug peterson said they are starting off the season right with their new quarterback. the auto body shop was badly damaged by fire as flames broke out in cinnaminson. >> people around here heard the sirens and saw the flames and when all was said and done there was major damage for the auto body shop off 73 north. >> i smelled the smoke. >> reporter: chopper 6 hd was over head as flames tore through the roof of michael's auto body.

fire company was called around 6:00 a.m. and met with heavy fire in two bays of the auto body shop. five bays were destroyed, four vehicles were lost. >> it was like mushroom clouds, the flame was mushroom cloud, tremendous flame. firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to two more bays with four more vehicles inside. crews stopped the flames from advancing to the back garages. this man shot the video of the black smoke and raging fire on his cell phone. he showed up for work at the auto shop across the street when he saw crews arrive. >> i saw flames and smoke and cop cars and within a couple of minutes there were 6 to 8 fire trucks and cops and ems. >> reporter: the fire was placed
