prosecutors are preparing terrorist charges again the man that they say carried out boxing in new york and new jersey. but the investigation continues into what happened and why. >> reporter: the suspected bomber, ahmad rahami's journal now in the hands of investigators, the pages shot through with a bullet in a gun bat well police. it reveals rahami's writings including the al qaeda cleric linked to a number of terrorist attacks and plots in the u.s. this as the fbi confirming that agents first became aware of rahami in 2014. after rahami's father contacted the fbi to report that his son was interacting with bad people, a statement he later recanted. the fbi looked into his travels to pakistan, a known hot bed of

extremism and later afghanistan where he stayed for almost a year, he claimed he was visiting his wife and family and the fbi investigated and determine there had was no evidence of radicalization. >> what is the radicalization process, is he telling the truth, did he go to turkey or syria? obviously these trips are going to be the foundation for much more in-depth investigations. >> still questions remain what was the suspect's motive and did he have any help? we know he is still in the hospital apparently refusing to cooperate with his next court date next thursday. police are crediting the public for their cooperation in bringing the suspect to justice. new jersey's attorney general says they rely on you as much as you rely on them. >> information is shared in a

moment, literally in a flash, the sharing of information between local, state law enforcement along with information from the community, we saw it yesterday. that tip came from the community, information flowed and an arrest was made. he said with new technology criminals have fewer places to hide. a man hit by a car in a bank parking lot is in critical condition. police were first investigating a crime as a hit and run and this afternoon they say it may have started with a robbery. sara bloomquist is live now at northeast detectives with the details on this story. >> reporter: sharrie that is right, police did initially think this was a hit and run and they now know that the driver of the car was the victim of a hit and run slamming into the car of the man that robbed him. he fled because he was visiting from outside of the country and

does not speak english and was not sure what police would do. >> police returned this morning looking for additional clues to back up the victim's account and they have a surveillance video supporting his story. overnight they thought they were investigating a hit and run after finding a person with head wounds at the wells fargo bank. but everything changed when they discovered this white car with serious damage a quarter mile away and the owner from portugal came out to talk to officers. >> there was a language barrier with the victim and once we overcame the hurdle and got the story and backed up the video, this is the outcome. >> the man told investigators he rode up to the atm last night with his wife and small child in the car. as his money came out a 49-year-old man with his face covered came out of nowhere and took the money and the frightened robbery victim took off.

he fled the parking lot and noticed his debit card was still in the machine, and decided to return to the machine and was reconfronted by the male, this time the driver drove into the suspect sending him on to the windshield. and the suspect was armed with an enough and that plunged into the windshield and the driver drove to his home in rutland. >> he was scared and not from this country and only here for a month. he was in fear he would be arrested. but he did the right thing when the police had his car and came forward and cooperate. >> reporter: now, the suspect did suffer very serious head injuries, still police say he will be charged with the armed robbery and the driver of the car not facing any charges, police tell us they are looking into the possibility that the injured suspect is connected to at least one other armed robbery. i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6

surfaced online showing him fighting with a student and they purged and kicked each other and at one point the student is put in a head lock. this happened at lincoln high high school. chad pradelli talked to a witness and joins us live with the story. >> reporter: yes sharrie the video is disturbing on so many levels and the key question in this case is did this teacher go too far or was he simply defending himself. the video picks up in the hallway of lincoln high school. a student and teacher squaring off and fighting as students watch. according it a law enforcement source the student was late for class and they argued and then the student assaulted the teacher. the teacher went to a neighboring classroom and then was confronted again in the hallway. >> he pushed him and he pushed him back a little bit and the

a bucks county based foundation is getting ready to head to washington, d.c., to teach lawmakers about the rights of terminally ill patients, the laws allow the people to try experimental therapies that complete aid first phase of testing but are not approved by the fda. the have a heart foundation talked about their mission. a group of supporters are scheduled to testify at a senate hearing come thursday. philadelphia mayor, jim kenney stopped by arrow marks event. calling this city their home. local employees helping out the latinos in north philadelphia. workers at locations worldwide gave back to their communities today as well. an internal investigation is underway at the police department after a special visitor to the police k-9 unit.

protesters are planning to rally in tulsa, where a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black man, they say it's a protest for justice and a call for the officer to be arrested. dash-cam and aerial video shows shelby shooting and killing krecher. officer shelby reported she felt threatened as he started to reach through the window of his suv but krecher's attorneys show that the window was all the way up and closed. tulsa police have confirmed that crutcher was not armed and that the original call came in as a stalled car on the road.

weather the next couple of days and then fall pushes in during the upcoming weekend. we look at the action cam along manayunk along the toe path there. great running area but i tell you, this lady has the right idea, maybe after her run, it's extremely humid out there, it didn't take long to break a sweat on this tuesday afternoon. as we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan a lot of clouds above but even with the cloud cover today. it felt comfortable with no precipitation whatsoever in the clouds and at this point, it's way down to the south, 70s in the state of new jersey in delaware with the east-northeasterly wind and 78 and atlantic city airport 78 and 76 in cape may but humid in those areas, despite temperatures in the 70s. and where we saw sun in the north and west. temperatures responded to the lower to mid-80s. dew point wise if the number is over 65 and over 70 it is -- i
