make it easier to travel from king of prussia to philadelphia. most any motorists tell you that something needs to be done to ease the congestion on the schuylkill expressway. >> something needs to be done. >> don't use it. it's too crowded they need more lanes, we don't use it. today penndot announced they have a plan to improve the flow of traffic on 76 between the king of prussia and philadelphia. >> we are undertaking an ambitious program because the i-76 corridor is critical to the region and the transportation and economic vitality. >> it starts with new electronic signage to allow penndot to adjust the speed limit based on traffic and weather, and they will transform the interstate shoulders into part-time travel lanes from the fvalley forge an the blue route and route 1 and belmont avenue. >> this is new to pennsylvania

we have nasty weather on the way. this is the amount of rain wednesday evening through friday and it depends on your location, this shows along the coast, generally about a half inch of rain around philadelphia a little more than an inch but areas west especially lancaster looking at the potential of more than 3 inches of rain. in addition to that we'll have a strong pressure gradeients from low pressure to the west, this brings us gusty winds on thursday, wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour inland and at the coast up to 45 miles per hour. so it will be rainy and raw and it will be windy. right now though pretty pleasant conditions, philadelphia 74 degrees, down from the high of 762 degrees above normal. clouds are hanging on longer along the coast and cooler there at atlantic city airport. 67 degrees, satellite 6 along

with action radar showing we are in between systems right now, the cold front that brought us the morning rain that is finally sliding off the coast and some thin clouds hanging and clearing skies out to the west. however the upper level low is spinning across the great lakes and what this will do is meander down to the south and cut off from the jet stream and nothing to push it out and this will likely stall over kentucky for a couple of days. tonight a few clouds, and feeling like fall. cooler than last night. philadelphia 57, allentown and reading, into the 40s and may need an extra comforter there. and wilmington 55. future tracker 6 showing we start the day with sunshine, the morning the best part of the day, 9:00 not a cloud in the sky but as we head through the day the clouds fill up by 5:00 and then later tomorrow night is when we see some showers breaking out. and some of that heaviest rain
