wednesday night and jim is off, i'm monica malpass a historic row of buildings in center city could be torn down to make way for condos and hundreds of students at temple university are without water after a water main break in the middle of the campus. but the big story is the home invasion in the city's long crest section that targeted a blind man and his wife. the whole thing lasted less than a min and caught on home video. you can see how terrifying this ordeal was. sara bloomquist is live in northeast philadelphia with the details. >> reporter: monica, philadelphia police are working to identify the two men seen on that surveillance video barging into the home in the long crest section last night. we did speak to a woman that was inside of the house at the time. she described the terrifying ordeal and asks that we not identify her. >> it was over like in 40 seconds. >> it happened so fast.

watch on surveillance video as the man walks in through the row home on hellerman in long crest. >> this big guy came in and told me to be quiet. and then he pulled a gun out and i started to scream and started to yell for my husband. >> the armed man went into the dining room and confronted the woman's 46-year-old husband who is legally blind. the couple had a gun purchased after reports of other home invasions in the neighborhood. >> it was on the dining room table. and he went to reach for it but the guy had a gun up to his neck and telling us if we don't shut up and be quiet he would shoot both of us. >> the couple's son and niece were playing across the street and a second man came into the house with a hoody pulled tight to conceal his face. >> i was saying to myself i hope he doesn't shoot my husband or

me. i told my husband don't shoot, because my husband was getting ready to shoot him. i was like no no no. >> the men fled with $270 in cash taken from the homeowners pockets. >> the video is good quality, they had a camera inside of their house and we hope that someone recognizes them and gives us a call and points us in the right direction. >> i hope they catch them, who preys on a man who can't see to defend his family. that is not right. >> police tell us that two men fled southbound on lorreto driving a black jeep. anyone with information should contact northeast detectives. live in northeast philadelphia, i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. police in darby are investigating the stabbing death of a woman whose body was found after her mentally disabled daughter was found wandering the neighborhood. the woman is identified at 52-year-old diana hart.

investigators believe she was killed sometime early sunday morning and later that day her daughter was found looking for her mom. police were called and discovered hart's body in the basement of the home and the daughter is in the care of a relative and police are questioning a person of interest in the case. police in plymouth township say that this man exposed himself in the american eagle store on german town pike two weeks ago. that hernandez was in the changing area and asked a staff member for a pair of jeans, when the staff member returns with the jeans he exposed himself. it's not the first time he did it in the store, he is facing a long list of charges. a water main break caused a muddy mess on temple's campus today. the break left students in two dorms without water and that could continue into the evening, walter perez is live in northeast philadelphia with that story tonight.

>> reporter: we'll take you live to the scene. crews are working to repair the scene. this is at the northern edge of the temple university campus, the area near 13th and broad is still without water service but authorities say it should be restored before 8:00 tonight. there was a whole lot of water rising from the intersection of 13th and norris streets at 9:30 this morning. the result was several homes and buildings losing service for the better part of today including a pair of temple university residence halls. >> two dorms shut on norris street. they belong to temple and as soon as we get water restored we'll get them back water service. >> one of those dorms is the peabody building primarily a residence hall for freshman. we spoke with first year students that says this is

awful. >> i don't know what i'll do to take a shower will i have to go to 1940 or the public showers in the gym. >> i may end up going to j and h and getting a friend to take me in there so i can shower. it's a pain. >> you have to go to the food cross station at the center it's a decent walk. >> they are giving out water at the front desk and telling us to go to the independence blue cross rec center to shower, i don't even know where that is. >> all right back out live, no word on why the main ruptured but the water is expected to resume at 8:00 tonight and no word on how long the intersection will be closed off to traffic. just after 1:30 a.m. a water main break at ardly street.

about 58 customers lost service. bill cosby lost his latest bid to have sex assault charges thrown out. the superior court rejected cosby's motion to dismiss three counts of aggravated indecent assault. it resulted from andrea constand in cosby's home in 2004. he has bleeded not guilty. it's been a tradition for generations a trip to jewelers row when it's time to pop the question. and if a builder has his way nodes buildings will be torn down to be made way for condos. >> last month crews began work in preparation to demolish 702 to 70 7 for a controversial condo tower.

introducing new measures to stop young people from smoking. mayor kenney and other officials held a press conference to talk about new regulations to try to keep kids from stopping. it targets tobacco advertising and retailers selling single cigarettes known as lucys. >> we don't haneed five stores selling cigarettes within five blocks. >> it's responsible for the deaths of 2,000 people in philadelphia every year. well, you may know the saying trenton makes the world takes. adam is here with accuweather talking about the midweek warm up. temperatures in the low 70s in philadelphia and we mimic that tomorrow and at the end of the week still beautiful on thursday and friday. as we take a look at stormtracker 6 live double scan decent amount of sunshine here this afternoon. we had a mixture of clouds in the first part of the day and the sun took control this afternoon and presently you are seeing the sun just about to go below the horizon here in about a minute and a half. your sunset at 6:25. cirrus clouds and a beautiful evening here looking at this shot but as beautiful as this looks it's a bit depressing because the daylight hours are getting shorter and shorter.

the clouds increase and cloudy through the middle part of the day and spitting shower or two north of the city and then thereafter the 3:00 or 4:00 hour we see the return of sunshine as high pressure comes in from the north and west. and breezy and cooler and a sunshine and high dropping to 65 degrees. hurricane nicole is a strong cat 2 hurricane. the circulation is very evident here with the classic eye in the middle. hurricane force winds 45 miles per hour on either side of the high wall and the eyes are large at this point. there is bermuda heading straight for bermuda and could be a category 3 storm now with winds sustained near 115 miles per hour during the day tomorrow and if this passes directly over bermuda it makes lan fall, the first really major landfall since 2003 which was fabian and
