hurricane matthew left behind devastating flooding. this morning the state's governor says that 50,000 customers are still without power. and new video from bermuda shows the tall hurricane nicole is taking on the island. it made landfall today. the conditions are expected to last through the evening with storm surges up to 8 feet and a half foot of rain. lets turn to cecily tynan at the big board. >> this is the only time we have had two major hurricanes during the month of october. this is satellite of the hurricane nicole moving over bermuda. one of the strongest hurricanes to ever hit bermuda. the eye rolling right over the island. it hit this morning as a cat 3

the ntsb released the first of several reports on the deadly train crash in hoboken, new jersey. the train was going 10 miles per hour and then when it hit the terminal it was going twice the speed. the engineer says he was fully rested and doesn't remember the accident xg the ntsb is waiting on toxicology reported. the man accused of setting off bombs in new jersey and new york made his first appearance in

cord ahmad rahami made his first appearance via skype since he has been hospitalized. bail is set at 5.2 million there's. he is accused of planting the bombs at a charity race at seaside heights and manhattan's chelsea district. 30 people were hurt when the bombs exploded. a trash can exploded in ocean county. local and state officials were in barnegat today combing through the debris. they believe the motive is more likely criminal mischief than terrorism. the philadelphia department of prisons opened up today. it's the oldest prison and opened up in 1874 and then was torn down in 1925 and rebuilt on the same site using the same materials, the biggest challenge

park. you can see when you look down a whole lot of green and not much change in the color here. however, there are some leafs that are really peaking up to the north. the fall foliage report shows you have to go across new england and the catskills and northern poconos to see the leafs at their peak. here in south jersey and the nearby suburbs fall foliage is low, we'll peak at the end of the october and early november. and lehigh valley some good color there. a picture from lake harmony two nights ago and the leafs are starting to change. if you want to do leaf peeping the best side yeah is to head north. hickory run state park is a good place. and the weather should be perfect for that. today clouds and a few scattered showers earlier ahead of a cold front. temperatures holding in the 60s.
