quakertown, 33 degrees. now, remember the freezing mark is 32. martins creek, 32. tanersville, 31. pottstown, 33. same time david, 39. coatsville, 35. fleetwood checking in at 34. glassboro, 38. vineland, same number, hammonton, 38. ewing, 37 degrees. woodbine 32. dover, 41. satellite and radar high pressure in control, the wind for the most part are calm that's part of the region why the temperatures have dropped off as much as they have. it's called radiational cooling, clear skies, calm winds and temperatures plummet. we'll keep the clear skies in place this afternoon, as well. 67 degrees, sunshine, patchy clouds that's about it. we'll call it pleasant. look at this, later next week, high pressure in control, almost like a burden -- bermuda high pressure system off the coast of the carolinas that means the winds will shift in the south

southwesterly direction, that will pump temperatures in the 80s, could see two days of record-high temperatures depending on how strong the southerly flow is the regardless if we see record highs or not. it will be stunning next week. you'll need shorts and t-shirts. as gray mentioned it's a temperature rollercoaster ride over the next several days. when i come back i'll let you know how warm we get in the seven-day forecast. >> a fire forces three generations of a family from a philadelphia home including the 100-year-old woman. the fire happened in the 1500 block of west pike street in nicetown before midnight. the 100-year-old woman started yelling for help. her daughter just returned home from a night shift as a nurse, she credits her grandmother's alertness with saving the entire family. >> you know she saved my life by screaming help and alerting

me that something was wrong. i saw her in the hallway and i saw the flames coming from her bedroom and the house began to quickly fill up with black smoke. >> pemberton guided her grandmother down the steps while her mother called 911. the family is staying with relatives, investigators tell us the family had no working smoke detecters in their home. a business went up in flames in olney early this morning. philadelphia firefighters called to the zoom automotive detailing and car wash in the 500 block of west olney street. extra trucks were needed to get the fire under control at 1:00 a.m. no word about injuries or what started the fire. one man listed in critical condition after a shooting in wilmington, delaware, our cameras capturing about a dozen police officers there at the shooting scene at 3rd and clayton streets after 11:00 p.m. last night. a man in his 20s was shot

several times. this morning no word on who fired the shots or why. >> 7:04 your time. 17-year-old student is dead and this morning the investigation continues into exactly what happened. we know the victim was a student at wordsworth academy a residential treatment program in philadelphia. the 17-year-old boy died thursday after a struggle with three adults. investigators are now trying to determine fed a preexisting medical condition. wordsworth academy helps children overcome emotional and behavioral and academic challenges. you can expect to pay more at the pump in new jersey with the stroke of the governor's pen. new jersey gas tax took a 23 cent hike. jeff chirico has more. >> i'm not very happy about it. >> i don't like it, it's not pleasant for my pocket. >> reporter: new jersey drivers are not holding back hours after chris christie made the gas tax

recorder showed it was speeding up. one woman was killed and 100 hurt. from our delaware newsroom, excuse me, investigators will know next week if mold is gone from an elementary school in christiana school district. mold remediation was performed on three classrooms at pulaski school in wilmington. water flooded the school over the summer and it was not cleaned up properly. every room was tested. if>> if the building is unhealy we'll relocated kids if need be. >> the mold problem is believed to be an isolated incident. one of the most popular holiday attractions in philadelphia will have a new location, christmas village crew a record 700,000 visitors last year will move to city hall in

conditions up and down the entire eastern seaboard. all the stormy weather is to the west, high plains pacific northwest storm systems in a series battering the coast there. we won't see that here, high pressure in control that keeps the overall weather pattern quiet for us. on the water vapor image you can see what's going on if you follow the direction of the clouds. everything is moving in a southwesterly direction this is the west coast here, heartland. nation. here's the east coast, everything is moving like this. that's a nice pacific air mass, so long we don't see the clouds moving in this direction, there's no canadian air out there. it's crisp and cool out there, but the overall pattern starts to warmup over the next several days. sunny and pleasant across the entire seaboard. a repeat performance, sunshine and warmer temperatures.

city avenue. but in some locations there's enough to produce this. a windchill of 29 in allentown and the poconos. feels like 36 in reading. 36 in trenton. 42 in philadelphia with the breeze and 42 wilmington, so yes, you certainly need a coat first thing this morning. the good news is, as we look at satellite and radar high pressure is moving in from the northwest. as the sun continues to rise, the testers will moderate -- the temperatures will moderate into the mid to upper 60s. here's the way it will play out. lots of sunshine, nice, high of 67 degrees. 1:00 p.m., 62. 3:00 p.m., 65. 5:00 p.m., 65 that he is the tip of iceberg. get a load of this, next week, look at these temperatures, 80 degrees monday, 82 tuesday, 84 degrees wednesday. now, the normal high is 66 by then. in some cases we're nearly 20 degrees above seasonal

averages and records will fall. when i come in a few minutes i'll have the details in the accuweather forecast. >> new information to tell you about this morning, a firefighter is hurt while battling flames in west philadelphia. this happened on gross beak place at 2:30 a.m. the firefighters is being treated for minor injuries. another fire called suspicious kept crews busy in north philadelphia. this happened at a house on the 3000 block of north 5th street. that fire spread to the porch of the row home next-door, no injuries have been reported. it was a violent night on the streets of camden, new jersey, we know this morning, one man is dead after a shooting outside a sports bar. someone shot the came at kaign and haddon avenue.

police have made no arrests in the case. a woman who was hit by a philadelphia police car is recovering from her injuries. she was hit by a 25th district cruiser at front and erie in hunting park. the accident happened at 10:40 p.m. the woman was treated and released from the hospital. investigators have not released any details about the moments leading up to the incident. this morning we're learning some more information about what led up to the crash that killed two teenagers on roosevelt boulevard. "action news" reporter, dann cuellar talked to a witness and friends remembering those two young people who tragically lost their lives. >> reporter: killed in the accident on the boulevard was 16-year-old maggie goloff. and 19-year-old. >> he is my best friend. he got back to school trying to get an education. >> maggie was maggie, when she

came in she brightened the girl. she was an awesome girl. >> reporter: both were riding in the back seat of a hyundai being driven by a friend. the driver was rushing to temple hospital to see his father who was assaulted during a robbery. the car ran the stop signal at front street and collided with this suv driven by the 55-year-old woman. reverend emil stanton was behind the car. >> he ran the light and the front streetlight and hit the lady on this light. >> reporter: both suffered minor injuries and the friends say those riding in the back seat and ended up being killed is hard to understand. >> she was going to get her own place and got a kitten. >> he had a good heart. his parents raised him right. that's the best person you could find, he is one in a million. >> he used to be a very lovely person and honest and everything

landing in western pennsylvania. the single engine plane was practicing up and go manuvers on the runway at arnold palmer regional airport. it flipped over on the field. the pilot was alert and conscious when medics arrived. this is incredible video as a man rescued a woman from her

sinking suv this happened in massachusetts yesterday. the 68-year-old woman can be heard screaming from inside as water filled up her car. police say she was trying to back into a parking shot when she drove over the curb and ended up in the body of water. the woman was taken to the hospital and is being treated for mild hypothermia. >> reporter: good thing it's not december or january when the water is colder. speaking of colder. it's chilly out there right now. sky6 live hd there's the center city skyline. temperatures chilly this morning, some locations in the low to mid 30s and some locations picking up patchy frost. we have clear skies and it will warm up nicely. as a matter of fact by the time we get into monday, tuesday, wednesday, it feels like august again, high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. 67 degrees is the forecasted high which is on par for this time of the year. that's the average, 46 is where

in the bronx following that long and extremely risky surgery. they shared brain tissue and the procedure to separate them was delicate. the boy's hero said the atmosphere at the hospital that be celebration mixed with uncertainty. in "healthcheck" this morning, despite improvements in safety, the number of concussions suffered by young people is on the rise. the report from the blue cross blue shield finds insurance claims for cushion increased 46% over a 6 year period ending in 2015. there was a 71% spike for kids age 10 and 19. it is believed the increase may be attributed to more contract testing and -- contact eye
