>> reporter: it was about 12:40 when authorities were alerted. this is an established area, very little place to put down a plane safely and they feel fortunately that nobody on the ground was injured. >> the fact that it didn't strike any houses. it looks like it came between you know about four homes on a diagonal line of trees. >> reporter: the small plane fell to earth somehow and fell on a lawn between trees and a large framed house on lyndon street in hawthorne. two people were cut out of plane and two were taken to cooper hospital one by grown and one by medevac. none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. there was an issue with leaking fuel but no fire. part of a line of two seater

airplanes produced between 1940 and 1969. the faa has investigators on the ground that will find the home base and route. and determine why it crashed. they have found no one that saw the crash and some heard a loud bang but those closest to the point of impact do not recall the sound of an engine. >> heard a bang and thought it was a car crash. my husband went out to check and didn't see anything. >> i heard a crash more than usual. but i looked out this way instead of looking this way. >> saw nothing? >> saw nothing. >> well, are you looking at a live picture of the crash scene of the aircraft. faa investigators are still on the ground here. investigators from the camden county prosecutors office here as well as detectived from the local police.

through the kentucky valley as well as the tennessee valley and the ohio valley. but as we work to the north and west. omaha and chicago still above arm but cooler though in the lower 70s, but you hit the 40s in the northern plains and eventually this front sinks to the south and east as we approach the upcoming weekend cutting the numbers way back. not much in the way of activity going on and there is that boundary pushing the cold air to the south and warm air to the north. thunderstorm watches in parts of missouri at the present time. but the front doesn't have a lot of moisture with it. so for tonight, as the front continues to sink to the south and east we see an increase in cloud cover. 64 in allentown un62 in philadelphia and 62 in dover, staying mild overnight tonight and future shows by tomorrow morning, the clouds do push in and could be a couple of showers in the northwestern areas, closer to that boundary. tomorrow afternoon a mixture of

a young mother of two brutally beaten to death at the hands of her boyfriend was honored today in east philadelphia. colleagues and friends paid tribute to the life of 24 joyce quayway. her family was there holding the two little girls that she left behind. police say that erin wright admitted to beating her until she collapsed. wright is charged with murder. some new jersey lawmakers are calling for aggressive measures to get the led out of state schools. education activists held a news conk today their bill woman date testing in the school every five years and require mediation or cleanup of any led found. this after reports showed high levels of led in many trenton schools. >> unfortunately the results from last week are disturbing but not surprising, we have aging infrastructure throughout

here. making sure the closet has a summer wardrobe and winter wardrobe all together this week. have it there waiting. cold temperatures are on the way. as we look at the action cam. a place i was earlier this morning, taking a run at valley forge national historical park, a beautiful area there, i was running through the woods there at beth wood trail, the leafs are starting to turn quickly and dropping, some breathtaking sights starting to take up shop close to home. as we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan around the region, again not much in the way of cloud cover and a lot of sunshine today. and not tracking any rain at the present timt. we had nine cities that broke record high temperatures today. and these four cities have the top record so far. wilmington at 87 degrees so far today. philadelphia 86, trenton 85. and atlantic city so far at the airport 85 degrees.
