as you see mind me the tackty and students that are supporting them are in high spirits this thursday night. westchester administration says that the homecoming festivities will go off as scheduled this weekend. including the football game and the coaches are members of a none striking bargaining union but the director of the band is a faculty member and the band will not perform unless there is a settlement on saturday. picket lines are on every corner at the westchester campus here on day two of the strike at all 14 state universities. >> we are looking for a good deal for the faculty and retirees and students. >> negotiations are not going well. they want to degradate some of the benefits for the faculty.

philadelphia this afternoon. we hit 81 degrees so far today breaking the old record of 80 degrees set back in 1938 and at this point, the only city in our area that saw a record today. it's still really warm no matter where you live. 75 in millville. and 75 in lehigh valley and 12u7 in trenton and evening along the shore temperatures at that 70 degree mark. but again there are changes on the way in the form of a cold front the very slow moving. you see downpours in the ohio and tennessee valley working well to the north and west. we have one more day with the temperatures in the 80s and then the temperatures crash here on friday night and the winds really pick up and windchills push in for early saturday morning. we'll talk about the big drop in temperature and how cool it will be as we enter the upcoming weekend. >> thank you.

the girls coped. the government is limiting access to them to help them with their trauma. the typhoon smashed into the philippines it flooded towns and forced them to flee this after a lot of providences suffering from another typhoon that left people dead and displaced last weekend. it's amazingly compelling heart stopping video from texas. a police officer saving a young boy's life. here he is being honored and here is the reason why. we must warn you that the video is gripping. the 3-year-old boy was having a seizure after his temperature went up to 106 degrees, his distraught mother called 911 and officer chase miller responded. you can see the mother bringing the boy to the officer there, the little boy stopped breathing
