in the smash and grab at the boyds store in center city on tuesday. if it is the same men this time they struck in broad daylight as customers were shopping. "action news" obtained the video of this smashed up display case where an unknown amount of watches were stolen. one woman walked into the store shortly after it happened. i walked into the store and saw the glass busted and all of that and the girls were telling me that they got robbed. they busted cases and stole jewelry. >> they used a hammer to smash a display case and then fled in a stolen mercedes benz 350. it appears to have the same license plate used in the high end retailer boyds. in that case a toyota suv backed into the store's window display and smashed it and men wearing masks rushed into the store and taking $45,000 in mens suits and

philadelphia city council passed a resolution calling on septa to reach a contract deal. yesterday septa officials asked customers to start figuring out alternate ways to get to work and school. the current contract for more than 5700 septa workers ends on monday night and a walkout could begin tuesday morning. there is more reaction tonight to the cancellation last night of a particular singer's endecision of the national anthem before the 76ers season opener. because of two words on the shirt of singer, seven streeter. john rawlins live at city hall. the words, we matter is causing considerable controversy. >> the singer planned to make a statement but in her words some

heavier downpours moving through crossing route 100 now moving farther down to the south and east a break in the action currently but medford you have a heavier downpour moving along route 70 and down the shore steadier rain right now. surf city and oceanville and atlantic city and all of this is pushing to the east and we won't completely clear things out until later on tonight once the cold front moves through. temperatures currently 57 degrees, the high so far and millville 58 and allentown 46 and reading 47. the normal high is 63. so definitely on the cool side. satellite 6 along with action radar showing this whole system is actually producing steady snow across parts of upstate new york and new england, we won't be getting that and here is the cold front across western pennsylvania, and can you see that we don't completely clear out until it pushes to the east but it will get more scattered

as we head through the evening hours. if you head out tonight you will want to take and umbrella and clearing from midnight until dawn, 48 the low in philadelphia and 48 the low in allentown and 46 in wilmington. so not that cold tonight, and tomorrow we'll be in between systems, the low pressure strengthening from the north to east in the tennessee valley, that brings us the classic wind tunnel affect, the temperature now feeling a lot colder thanks to winds gusting 35 to 40 miles per hour. but at least we'll get the sunshine back and it will be dry tomorrow, heading into the weekend the high pressure intensifies and sinks to the south and that brings us the winds out of the southwest. saturday, should be very mild. with a high of 70 for the halloween parade for the temple game and looking really nice and ahead of that cold front on sunday it gets evening warmer but showers with that front sunday afternoon and then much cooler for halloween.

the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast tomorrow you can leave the umbrella at home, grab the sunglasses and maybe a wind breaker, chilly and 57 degrees and winds gusting up to 45 miles per hour. and saturday much milder, how is that for timing? 70 degrees and sun we get a wedge of warm air by 2:00 already 73 degrees and colder air to the west and reaching a high of 76 and afternoon showers with the cold front and behind that front for halloween, no tricks all treats, a good amount of sunshine and it's dry and it will be cooler with a high of 60 so the trick or treaters may want a jacket for monday evening and wednesday you'll like it warmer you got it. up to 72 degrees and then temperatures drop down to more seasonable levels on thursday. 64 degrees under partly sunny skies all in all a pretty nice looking seven-day forecast, especially when we have three days back if the 70s.
