>> a pleasant good morning to you, 6:00 a.m., saturday, november 5. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." fiery crash, one person is dead after a two-car crash send two vehicles into a utility pole in the northeast. septa's buses and trolleys still at a standstill. the agency and the workers have not reached a deal. millions of gallons of water gushes into the street from a water main break. we have the latest information for you. first, meteorologist chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast.

cup citizens bank park this afternoon, 2:00 p.m. temperature, 60 degrees. 4:00 p.m., 62. 6:00 p.m., back down to 06 once again getting near flawless afternoon. tomorrow equally as nice, when i come back we'll talk about that and and the election day forecast and the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> look forward to the update. 6:02 the time. we have an update about the massive water main break that flooded east falls parking lot. there was significant improvement after the area was inundated by millions of gallons of water. several people had to be rescued yesterday. four stores were impacted. it's costing half a million dollars in damages. the philadelphia water department said this is the fourth time this happened in the area since january 2014. 6 million gallons of water spilled out. shopping carts and debris and

mannequins surged into the street. >> we ended up rescuing or moving across the water 75 people and shelter 150 in various locations throughout the shopping center. >> i took that rag and was stomping it and wringing it and stomping it. i just got my rugs cleaned all them are soaking welt. >> reporter: the water mains are 100 years old, there are talks to reroute some of the transmission lines. that takes a whole lot of money, we're talking millions of dollars and it takes time. one person is dead after a collision in northeast philadelphia. western that one cash burst into flames on grant after around 2:00 a.m. the impact of the crash cause a car to slammed into a utility pole. that brought down high tension lines igniting the car in a strip mall parking lot. firefighters had to wait until

peco could set off the power before putting out the flames. >> the body in the vehicle that was the burned was burned beyond recognition, right now it's a skeleton, you can't tell if it is a male or female, you can't tell the age. we don't know who the person is. the vehicle was so badly damage from the accident and the burns we can't tell what vehicle it is. a devastating and heartbreaking scene playing out there. two people in the other car are recovering in the hospital. they are in stable condition. 6:04. septa strike is getting ugly. today marks day five of the workers off the job. septa has filed a lawsuit trying to force workers back on the job. jeff chirico has the details. >> they said the judge was very clear today that there's no competent evidence. >> reporter: attorney general for the union praised the judge

who ruled that the septa workers strike is not causing a clear and present danger to philadelphia that's the argument that septa made in court pointing to those who rely on the transit system the most, school children, the poor, disabled and sick. the union maintained it's not that bad. >> people are finding alternate ways to get where they have to get. >> we're not going do lie down and can't resolve the strike and watch our passengers suffer. >> reporter: the strike stopped 900 transit rides a day leading to gridlock and long commutes as would be passengers find alternate ways to travel. >> it's no good, spending more gas and time. >> let's go septa get back to work these people need to get around. >> reporter: the word is the

they showed up at the same time. appears someone started shooting in the area of 5th and springfield avenue in southwest philadelphia late last night. so far no arrests have been made. police in delaware county searching for the man who they say cashed a check belonging to a cancer patient. this is an image from td bank in astin. it shows michael allison cashing a 400-dollar check stolen from his grandmother in upper darby. that woman who is 68 years old is battling cancer. >> they lied saying they would do the laundry, during the course of grandmom being gracious enough to let him in the house, they steal a check. the grandmother tipped him off after confronting the girlfriend who confessed to needing the money. samsung recalls washing

super highway of storms, it represents different temperatures, north of the line is cold, south of the line is warm. this is all warm air. in order to get cold into the mid atlantic and the northeast, this all has to back up, this little bubble has to back up and hit the west coast that will allow the jet stream to drop to the south and the jet will look like. that will allow the winds to shift out of the northwest we get cold in here. the problem is the jet stream, the specific jet is warm, we're seeing storm after storm after storm, this is the gulf of alaska. this is the west coast. united states. here's one, it continues to race west to east across the pacific. batter the west coast of the united states, and drive mild air across the lower 48. when this slows down and weakens that's what we'll go cold around here. it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.

think it's time to find another place to shop. >> this place is cursed. >> reporter: this is the site of the old tastykake bakery. they duraned to reroute the transmission lines out of here, but it takes time and the cost of millions of dorms. in east falls, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." 6:35, still no deal, it is day five of the septa strike and a major court ruling appears to be derailing talks between both sides. the agency and the union will only work through a moderator. they called off face-to-face negotiations yesterday. that's when the judge denied the request to force the striking employees back to work. the judge ruled it is not causing a clear and present danger to the city. >> people in philadelphia are finding alternate ways to get where they have to get. they are walking and riding bikes and leasing cars and sharing rides.

>> reporter: we're not going to lie down an can't resolve the strike and watch our passengers suffer. not going to do it. >> there's concern that the strike could affect voter turnout on tuesday. if contract talks go anywhere, both sides return to the courtroom on monday morning when septa asks a judge to file an injunction to halt the strike on election day. we'll continue to monitor the strike throughout the weekend, check 6abc.com/septa strike. we'll have information as soon as developments happen. a report of an unconscious man in a car leads troops to a crime scene. new jersey state police and medics found the vehicle on 42 southbound in belmawr. the man believed to be in his 20s was shot in the back of the head. he is at cooper university hospital listed in critical condition. troopers are trying to figure out what happened.

turning now to the race for the white house. we are just three days until election day. hillary clinton has a slight lead in the latest abc news washington post poll. nationally she leads donald trump 47 to 43% that's within the margin of error which means statistically this race is still a dead heat in the final weekend before the big election. trump had a busy day on the trail. he ended the day in hershey pennsylvania. he started the day in new hampshire which is a crucial state where trump has a chance of beating hillary clinton. trump campaigned in ohio, yesterday. >> i want my daughter growing up see a woman leading had your country. >> beyounce performed and spoke to a crowd in ohio. her husband, jay-z performed at the same rally.
