temperatures climbing to the mid-70s, to near 80 this week. the temperature of the water is so much colder, that if you are headed to the beach, it's going to feel chilly compared to here. that will be true until the water temperature warms up a little bit more. another 6 weeks or so, you will run in to that. let's look at what is happening around here. it is a nice, calm morning. temperatures are mild, rdu sky cam, showing mostly clear skies, 50 degrees is our current temperature, wind, southwest at 7 miles per hour. dew point at 40, humidity 6 8%, nice and quiet and warm. yesterday morning, temperatures were close to freezing. you needed a winter coat, you don't need your winter coat this morning. 54 roxboro, 52 south hill. 49 clinton. 50 fayetteville and goldsboro. temperatures are warmer than yesterday. from 13 or 14 to 20-22 degrees warmer than yesterday. that is a big change. no winter coats but a jacket would be nice.
