we're under another weather alert. a lot of you are waking up to dense fog advisories this morning. it's really hard to see out there. so if you're heading out to drive, be careful. let's check in with chuck bell. visibility was down near zero about an hour or two ago, but as drier air is working in, it is eating up the fog. so the advisory go until 7:00 a.m. could still be pockets of dramatically reduced visibility and areas of high water. fog impacts mainly now through 7:00 a.m. by later today, no problems. fog will be gone. but clouds will be a bit of an issue for much of the day. storm team 4 radar tracking a couple light rain drops. that is literally the leading edge of the colder air that is wringing out a couple raindrops

along route 50 in southern prince george's county and charles county. temperatures in the in metro area mostly upper 40s to low and hid fifth, but still 59 at joint base andrews. so temperatures will trend downward through the day and there may be a collapse for height rain, maybe a snowflake or two tonight. let's take a look at 66 with melissa mollett. >> as promised here, 66 west of ox road here this morning, you're just fine. again, as chuck mentioned, a lot of the fog is now lifting out of the way. so not having to worry about that as much. but we're getting some complaints in frederick and kind of the upper part of 270 here this morning. big look at the beltway, no problems on the beltway and all the main routes in and out of town right now. we do have that little situation outer loop at allentown with the broken down tractor trailer. sound like that will be out of the way here in just a little bit. and 390 5 south, two lanes getting by on work zone.

molette green is out monitoring the fog for us this morning. how is it looking? >> reporter: good morning. you yeah, looking pretty good right now. we're just entering the pentagon city arlington area and not seeing much in the way of fog right now. we're getting reports that will is fog in some spots in alexandria and arlington. and so we're on the lookout for that as you can see out of our window here. it's a pretty good drive. wet roads, wet pavement, but no problems thus far on our drive here. you now, of course as we made our way to this area, in upper northwest, that was an area where we saw a lot of patchy fog. and low visibility. but looking pretty good right now as we are in the pentagon city area. that's the latest live from the storm team 4 x 4 on the lookout for fog, but not seeing much in the way of that where we are right now. back to you. right now we're working to learn how the people involved in

this serious crash in northeast washington are doing. this happened on c street and 14th street. you can see the force at which the cars collided. police aren't telling us what led to the crash, but the road was shut down for some time while they investigated. the road is back open now and we'll keep you updated on the story throughout the morning. and new video this morning of the aftermath of a deadly pedestrian accident. prince george's county police said a minivan hit and killed a person on piscataway road in clinton. the car did stay on the scene. the driver is cooperating. investigators believe the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk. 5:05. today family and friends will say their final good-byes to 13-year-old nicole lovell. her funeral is in blacksburg, virginia. hundreds of people showed up for her wake last night. the teen's body was found last weekend days after she was missing. investigators say virginia tech student david eisenhauer stabbed lovell to death. and natalie keepers helped eisenhauer dump her body off a here in north carolina.
