month since the big blizzard. governor larry hogan asked president obama yesterday to issue a disaster declaration. that would free up federal funding. maryland hasn't said how much the storm costs the state. a crowd funneleding campaign is under way if fairfax to help those struggling with their heating bills. dozens of families kept it through this initiative. our daily bread is trying to raise $16,000 by the end of the month. it would help 80 families who are struggle to go pay their heating bills. >> when this time of year comes around and the heating bills spike, they don't have extra funds to cover those extra needs. so we decided to run a special campaign this time of year to increase the amount of financial assistance we can provide.

rain chances mid week. that's coming up in a few minutes. >> all right. thank you very much, tom. today a woman who survived a fire that killed four members of her family will lay them to rest. funeral services for sampson and caroline and their grandchildren israel and ana will take place in hyattville. they all died in a fire exactly one month ago. the toddler's mother was in the house but jumped out a window and survive. they will bury the victims in brent wood. a delegation of local leaders are on their way to cuba. it includes muriel bowser and trade secretary murray jones. news 4's own david cole vert is not here today because he is tagging along on the trip to cover that visit. delegation visits like this are becoming more common since relations between the u.s. and cuba were reestablished.
